  1. The Imperial Navy Officer could be Daine Jir. That would make sense, plus he goes with the Tantive IV scene perfectly
  2. Wow it is very nice looking. I’m glad it comes with the mini Tantive IV, that’s something I was hoping for. Can’t wait for high quality images tomorrow It’s on the legoleaks hashtag on IG. And if you can’t find it, it’s being revealed tomorrow anyway. Sending leaked images isn’t the Jedi way.
  3. That’s exactly the reason, but he still didn’t end up appearing in the movie, so people still take issue for some reason. Personally I love getting extra minifigs even if they weren’t in the scene depicted
  4. I think a set could definitely be representing more than one piece of source material. Vader’s Castle is from both the VR game and Rogue One and the Tantive IV is from both ANH and Rogue One (it’s literally the same scene). There are plenty of sets that include characters that weren’t in the scene, it’s just a way of including exclusive characters that wouldn’t otherwise be in a set. Some people say the most recent Turbo Tank has to be from TCW because it included Quinlan Vos. It’s still from ROTS, they just included him as an extra minifig to add value. Same could go for the Tantive IV and Vader’s Castle. But I think it’s simple enough to say they represent multiple sources respectively.
  5. I thought it leaked like an hour before the reveal
  6. I think I’m most curious to see how the engines are done. One of the most visually striking aspects of an ISD
  7. I need Saw, Galen, and Dryden. Not to mention tons of prequel era characters we haven’t seen yet and a handful of OT characters
  8. It took the slot of a UCS but it wasn’t labelled as such. I think the reason was probably that for a ship of that caliber, that’s still system scale, whereas something like the Y-Wing, even at the same size as the Tantive IV, is scaled up big time. So even though the Tantive is a UCS sized (and priced) set, it’s still not very big for the ship that it is, so they opted not to label it UCS. I would imagine a Tantive IV that’s labelled UCS would be much bigger (like the old one).
  9. I loved 2013 and 2014 because we got all those awesome episode II and episode III sets. Once they’re done with the first couple TROS waves, I’m sure it’ll be back to updates on old sets, and brand new ones. Plus some Disney+ sets thrown into the mix of course
  10. As long as there are improvements, I don’t mind. If it’s a good enough improvement, I’ll get it. If not, I’ll save some money. Win/win. But I don’t consider a Resistance Y-Wing a remake of a Rebellion Y-Wing. Two totally different things. I love the idea of having a Rebellion fleet and a Resistance fleet; an Imperial fleet and a First Order fleet. To me, if there’s variation then it’s collectible. EDIT: sorry for the double post, I thought it would merge
  11. I don’t feel the need for UCS sets to include very many figures. That’s more what MBS sets are for. I’ll buy this for the massive ISD, not for a couple extra stormtroopers, another Vader, etc. I wouldn’t mind some officers since I love those types of figures a lot but, I’m not building up unrealistic minifig expectations for this. I buy UCS for the builds. Any figures at all are a bonus
  12. It was nice that we had a cheap way to get some of the redesigned TLJ Stormtrooper helmet variants with that set. We got so many TFA versions, even in the first wave of TLJ sets. It was nice that they redesigned them to be accurate to TLJ. The helmets in TROS seem to also be the newer versions. There’s also one in the advent calendar which is nice
  13. Well let’s hope for that variant in a Battle Of Hogwarts set
  14. I never knew anyone hated battlepacks...I’ll take any battlepack TLG ever gives us, I can’t get enough of them
  15. Honestly I wasn’t even trying to bring out a debate on it. I just wanted to bring up the idea that there might be a new silhouette on this new box just because no I say had mentioned it yet. Never meant it to be a big deal. I just thought it was something fun to think about. We don’t have to talk about it anymore. As far as size, I never hope for a downsize, I just love massive sets. I’ll find the space somewhere. But it honestly will most likely be smaller because it’ll probably have a partial interior and won’t be held together with magnets, so the piece count inside will be much higher
  16. I find your lack of faith disturbing. The silhouettes were OBVIOUSLY very different from the other things shown on the boxes. Anyway, whatever, I think it means something, not everyone has to agree. I didn’t realize when I brought it up that some people were so offended by the idea
  17. Yeah I know you were agreeing with me, I was just rewording it for others. I didn’t want to come across like I was holding silhouettes as set-in-stone confirmation of anything
  18. I think the DS started the larger October UCS trend. It’s always been changing though. For a few years it was a January UCS and a May UCS, both priced around $200. For example, the Slave I and TIE Fighter in 2015
  19. It’s on the side of the box. And for CC, it was definitely shown on the MF box but it wasn’t the same silhouette style of the other two. Maybe it meant something, maybe it didn’t, but CC was the next larger-than-normal SW D2C after that. But as far as price range, obviously the DS, MF, and ISD stand out. The silhouette thing started on the DS box and the next giant set was the MF. That box had an ISD silhouette and the next giant set is an ISD. It also happened to have CC on the front of the box, but again, not the silhouette style, so that may have been more of a coincidence. I’m just saying so far both the silhouettes have come true as the next massive set. Again, maybe it means something, maybe it doesn’t. It’s not really a big deal, just something kinda fun to think about. Right, I’m not saying it’s confirmation, but it seems to be a fun hint at what’s to come in the future. Not that it should be taken too seriously, but so far it does seem to hold true, that’s all.
  20. I don’t think the silhouette hints are a coincidence, but obviously I can’t prove the theory. I am interested to see if there’s some kind of silhouette on the box of the ISD. If so, and it becomes a set soon afterwards, I think it’ll be safe to say it’s an actual hint, and TLG has been doing it on purpose.
  21. I said the next “large scale”. As in not counting the regular $200 UCS sets. I’m talking about the really big ones with the higher price tags. It seems to be a trend ever since the Death Star
  22. Yeah, I get what you’re saying. We think it’s cool, but the general population doesn’t see it as cool. Whatever. I couldn’t care less, I’m not a people pleaser at all. I love this stuff. Back to the ISD... so far the whole “silhouette on the box” thing has been an actual hint in both cases. The silhouette of the Falcon was on the box of the Death Star and it ended up being the next large scale UCS set. The silhouette of an ISD was on the box of the Falcon and here we are. I think it’s also worth noting that Cloud City was also featured on the box of the Falcon. I don’t think anyone can argue that these things are coincidence at this point. So it begs the question...what could be hinted at on the box of the ISD, if anything?
  23. Probably. Someone probably has the images and is going to wait until the day before to release them
  24. I’m curious to see if we make it to next Thursday without images leaking. I’m kinda rooting for TLG to get the blind reveal they want at this point.
  25. I typically just try to work longer hours and save more, it doesn’t usually take that long if you’re really motivated and have a decent job. As far as family goes, it’s all about the approach. That’s the most important part, I have to really sell the idea. VIP points go a long way too if you save up long enough.
