  1. Don’t get me wrong, TFA version was accurate to that film but when the trooper helmets changed in TLJ, lego didn’t change the minifig design until after the waves of TLJ sets had been released. They did rerelease that FO battle pack with the new design which was great. A new battle pack with the updated design would be nice
  2. Good find. It’s nice to get a good look at the treadspeeder driver, it’s cool that he’s different from regular stormtroopers. I do wish we got more regular stormtroopers than just the one in the Shuttle set though. I know they’re nothing special but it’s nice to army build, especially since we got so many of TFA Stormtrooper type and not very many of TLJ type
  3. It was still in the shipping box. He said they hadn’t gotten any of the wheels in yet. I had been on a waiting list and ended up picking it up the December after it was released, right when they got new stock after the initial fiasco. So they still hadn’t gotten everything quite figured out yet. Loved that lego store btw. Great people working there too, I made some buddies, I was in there so often. Definitely my favorite lego store I’ve been to
  4. When I picked up my Falcon they didn’t have the wheeled carriers. I was living in Minnesota at the time and I got it from the Lego store in the Mall Of America so I had to carry that gigantic box around the entire mall (which is MASSIVE) and up two levels to get back to the parking lot. And of course none of the escalators were operational that day.
  5. I don’t buy brickheadz so I really don’t care but I don’t think it looks that bad. It’s not like brickheadz are supposed to be realistic. I think it looks fine for a brickheadz character. I really hope my stores end up stocking the ROS see early
  6. I could be wrong but it still looks printed to me
  7. To me it looks like Kylo has his hood up, that’s why it looks like that. And it would be weird if a 20th anniversary polybag was made available the year after the 20th anniversary
  8. A closed up version. I got the original open one so I didn’t throw $500 at the updated version. I kinda regret even getting the other one though, it just doesn’t look good all open like that. I’d love an updated Death Star and Death Star II that are closed up and just for display
  9. Yeah, I’m wondering the same thing. Same with the microscale Endor set
  10. They probably just don’t want them on the shelves together any longer than that
  11. Right now the top three minifigs I want to see in sets are (in no particular order) Saw Gerrera Commander Pyre Moff Gideon
  12. My guess is that there retiring the Falcon because a) most people who buy it probably already have and b) they don’t want it to affect the ISD sales
  13. I have this beautiful cedar chest that has the perfect dimensions for this set, so that’s definitely where it’s going
  14. I agree, the price is horrifying, but still totally worth it for me
  15. I agree 100% with everything you just said. When it comes to system scale models, which I love, size isn’t as big of a deal. But with these UCS sets, particularly these massive scale ones, size is everything. I’ll make the space, I don’t care, I’m a problem solver. Sets like this need to be huge and I think this set nails it. I did not think it would be as big as the last one but I think it’s bigger. And again, it’s ridiculous to compare it to MOCs made with 12,000 or more pieces. As far as a retail lego set goes, this is an absolute masterpiece and must have for collectors and Star Wars fans I would not be happy, and I know I’m not the only one. That would have been a massive let down
  16. I’m still convinced the MF silhouette on the DS box and the ISD silhouette on the MF box were hints. I think they were way too obvious to be anything but hints. You may disagree. That’s fine. I think they had these sets planned all the way back then and now they don’t have anything to this scale on the slate so there isn’t anything to hint at with this one. Either way, I can’t wait for this set, it’s really a masterpiece
  17. I truly don’t understand how people can justify comparing this to a 12,000-15,000 piece MOC. It’s just not realistic. This is an amazing lego set, comparing it to those MOCs and then saying it sucks is just naive.
  18. I think the plates on the top section just aren’t put in place all the way, because it’s the same design as the bottom and the norm doesn’t have the same problem. It looks like there’s room to push the plates a little further and cover the colored bricks My only issue is they didn’t fix the giant gap going down the center. I may have to modify that, but I’ll wait until I have it built to decide
  19. Wow it really is amazing. I love the figures too, they found a way to make them exclusive which is really nice. The build is phenomenal, I love the use of the MF cockpit for the engines! A lot of great building techniques here. Definite purchase for me
  20. I never got my hopes up in that regard anyway. I figured it would only be a couple if any, and that they would be Officers at best. I mean, even if the set included ten figures, they would be, what, a bunch of stormtroopers, Vader, and some Officers? Not really worth the price boost that would cause. I’m absolutely fine with this.
  21. Those discounts don’t happen in the US, and we don’t get Triple points unfortunately.
  22. Agreed, the black caps in particular give it away. I hope the Officer is an actual named Officer, particularly Commander Jir or Commander Praji
  23. Either one would be perfect, I agree we need more named Imperial Officers represented as minifigs. The really snarky looking one with the sideburns that came with the most recent system scale ISD looks so much like Motti that I just say it’s him. And I traded out Piett’s hat from the SSD with an updated one
