  1. Sorry to restate it then, I typically try to read over the previous discussions to make sure I’m not too repetitive. I just missed it this time. Funnily enough, I currently am using my Gordon hairpiece on a custom Petre Baelish from Game of Thrones. I’ll have to figure something out though, since HP is an ongoing theme I prefer the consistency.
  2. I agree completely. Lego is on a completely different level than they were when some of these OG UCS sea came out, to the point where it’s almost like we haven’t gotten them yet. A Death Star II on the level Lego is at nowadays would be spectacular. I’m not even an OT snob, I’m more excited for the UCS Gunship than I’ve been for almost any other UCS set. I just love Star Wars. A remade Death Star II would be unbelievable. Maybe someday. The thing is, every time I thing this way, I’m proven wrong by Lego. Truly. I didn’t think a UCS Slave I could be pulled off very well and I was proven dead wrong. I didn’t think the Millennium Falcon could look any better than the first UCS version but I was dead wrong. I think the same would happen with the second Death Star.
  3. Personally, I love the inclusion of Borgin and Burke. I don’t think we would have gotten it at all otherwise. On another note, one thing nobody has brought up yet (at least that I’ve seen) that I noticed right away is that Slughorn’s hair doesn’t seem to have the light gray highlights on the sides like the previous version did. And I really don’t like inconsistency. Luckily I have the Lego Batman Movie Gordon minifig so I’ll just switch the hair pieces
  4. I will never understand why people would view a new UCS second Death Star as a bad thing. I just don’t get it. At all.
  5. That wouldn’t work because she’s wearing black tights or leggings and there isn’t any skin showing around the rim of her dress in the film so that just wouldn’t be screen accurate
  6. Well I disagree with that. There are very few things in Star Wars more iconic than the Death Stars and I would very much like to see that set remade soon
  7. Childish Landino has confirmed the Death Star II rumor is false
  8. Good catch! I think you may be right, everything Kingnono says is important as we’ve seen so it has to mean something and that makes perfect sense. That added comment of his doesn’t make any sense otherwise. I would prefer the version of Sirius from the Ministry Battle scene but this one will do just fine, it would be a very nice figure Ollivanders is not obscure at all, I would say it’s one of the most iconic shops in DA, it’s pretty much guaranteed a spot in this set
  9. We’ll probably see the June sets in the next week or so. Advent calendars tend to leak pretty early, we already know all the figures for the Star Wars one, so we’ll probably have more info on this one soon enough. The CMFs and the D2C are the ones that will drive us crazy for a while until we finally see them probably months from now
  10. I’m honestly just expecting something similar to what we’ve been getting with the Hogwarts interiors and Hagrid’s Hut. I don’t see much reason in changing up that style now
  11. I wouldn’t necessarily expect every minifig to be based around that scene. There will more than likely be some generic repeats like last time
  12. Exactly my thoughts. I hope they don’t try to make him with the Dobby mold
  13. Kingnono hints with such confidence, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s seen them firsthand to be honest. That’s just how his info comes across to me. I would say we’ll find out soon enough but we probably won’t see pics of Diagon Alley for a while I knew he would be one of those Also according to kingnono, the advent calendar is based on OOTP. Probably Christmas at Grimmauld Place? Hopefully an exclusive Sirius
  14. Exactly, one of the reasons I trust him. This other guy seems like one of those “my uncle works for Lego and told me blah blah blah”. I wonder how long until he says something like that
  15. Yeah I’m inclined to believe kingnono over him, however, we don’t know what either of their sources are.
  16. It’s not part of Diagon Alley, but it is extremely connected to events in Diagon Alley and makes for more interesting building and play dynamic. I really like its inclusion, however, I sincerely hope it’s not at the cost of other shops from Diagon Alley specifically. If any shop could have stood alone as a set it would be B&B
  17. Well I guess that settles that. Diagon Alley is not just a bigger version of the GWP and will include Borgin and Burke per Kingnono
  18. I just saw that too. I’ve never heard of the account so I have no idea if they’re reliable or not. If it’s true my wallet will seriously hurt this year between Star Wars and Harry Potter. I’ve wanted an updated 2nd Death Star for a very long time
  19. The May 4th promo is very nice! I still have to get the Endor one though
  20. It’ll be interesting to see if something like that pops up this year, same with a polybag. I think a polybag was confirmed but it was on April 1st so I’m still not sure if it was legit or a joke
  21. Thanks for the clarification Right, obviously the VIP points are only if you buy directly from Lego. Sometimes it is definitely cheaper to buy from other retailers
  22. I see. I thought he was talking about the guy who originally started the MOM “rumor”, the ipaintminifigures guy
  23. There are two ways you could look at it. On an extremely limited budget, I would always say “get the most expensive first” because you may not be able to save up that much again during the set’s shelf life, and it’s easier to save less at a time for each of the other sets afterwards. On the flip side, the D2C will have a much longer shelf life than the smaller sets so you have more time to get it once you collect all the others. It really depends on your own situation. In earlier stages of my life, the first option worked better since I was making less money, so I would save up for the most expensive set on my list, and then after that I would save smaller amounts and get the others one by one. Nowadays, since I’m not working a minimum wage job anymore, it’s easier for me to get a full wave when it comes out (if I can, sometimes I have to get them in chunks) and then save up for the D2C. Plus that way, I can use the VIP points from all the other sets for the D2C
  24. The DA guy is now saying one of the alleged 14 minifigures is a statue. Maybe @Falconfan1414 can confirm or deny this guy’s legitimacy? If not, I guess we’ll find out soon enough
  25. I would say think of it as a rumor until a reliable leaker contradicts him Also, Luna looks good, not much else to say aside from any figure with dual molded legs is nice to get
