Wow those figure shows look really nice, and they definitely look genuine, although I always have a backup grain of salt

I love that we’ve been getting versions of characters from things like that Yule Ball and Slug Club but it has also kind of hurt our chances of getting more desirable versions. For example, I was really looking forward to getting Harry in the iconic red jacket from HBP. I feel like the Yule Ball was more necessary. But I feel like the Slug Club wasn’t all that necessary and I would have rather gotten other versions of those characters. Those figures are still fantastic but it just feels odd that they’re focusing on all the formal settings over the action scenes

As to the LOTR rabbit trail...believe me, nothing would bring me more joy in the world than a reboot. Hoping the Amazon series brings back enough relevance for Lego to take another look at it. I have every LOTR set and my brother has every Hobbit set. Wonderful sets, I died inside when they discontinued it. Anyway...Harry Potter

It’s just one of those weird inconsistencies this reboot has had. No big deal, I have so many extra wands I’ll just swap it out, I’ve already swapped out so many incorrect wand colors

I agree, by far the biggest complaint of the reboot has been “not enough Weasleys”, myself included. Their inclusions (especially since they’re all obscure variants) is perfect in my opinion. That in addition to The Burrow, and possibly Diagon Alley, and I’d say TLG has listened and given us what we wanted: more Weasleys, even multiple variants. I hope the Weasleys keep coming

I think if this was the case, it would be more like “let’s send one box of these to one random store and let it get online”. It wouldn't have to be as complicated as you’re saying, all they oils have to do is send the box, and the rest would work itself out. Not that I think this is what they do

Someone on here (can’t remember who) said they were told by a lego store employee that the official date is September 1st (if I recall correctly) but that if they get stock before that, they are allowed to sell them right away.

Is say it’s at least a good indication of when target will sell them. Barnes and Noble has a September date for Hedwig so maybe Target gets them first? I already preordered The Burrow from Target

After seeing the twins’ alternate faces, I’m much happier with them. The goofy dumb faces are only on one side, they each of much more normal face on the other side, so that’s good enough for me

I think the twins look fantastic except for that faces. Not a wasted spot at all in my opinion, I just think the face prints look dumb

I really just can’t get past the weird buck tooth goofy smiley faces for Fred and George. I’ll wait to see better pictures but I might have to use different faces for them, because those look so stupid Although they do seem to have more normal alternate faces as seen in the building instructions section of the leaflet Also, why doesn’t James have glasses?

Anyone else think Fred and George’s faces look kind of stupid?

I love all of these figures and finally a sword of Gryffindor!! I really hope DA includes Lockhart and Lucius now though. And it’s a shame there’s no Pomfrey or Rita

I think they know exactly what they’re doing. Keep in mind no one is even supposed to know this set exists. They’ve had a reveal date ready for a long time and us finding out about the set and anticipating it won’t change their plans. Harry Potter fans aren’t Lego’s only audience, they have tons of themes to plan and reveal dates to make. It’ll come

With the last D2C, I remember thinking about it nonstop and constantly posting my impatience and it just made the waiting so much worse (and annoyed people on here) so my strategy this time is to think about it as little as possible, occupy myself with work and other things, and not post how much the wait is killing me every five seconds like last time. It’s working out pretty well, I feel better about waiting this time around, and I’m probably more excited for this one. Not that I mind other people posting about it, I love seeing the discussions, just my own personal strategy

Keep in mind leakers have been saying we won’t be disappointed. That could mean a lot of things but I do think it’s an indication that it’s not going to be missing all the iconic shops

I think the regular Harry Potter box art would look great with Diagon Alley. I’m not too bothered about it though, even if it’s just black like most D2Cs, it goes right into the recycle bin anyway, I don’t keep boxes (not that I wouldn’t like to, I just wouldn’t have anywhere to put them, I barely have space for Lego display and storage).

I saw that, sounds way too fishy to me, but it would be cool. I feel like the new Monster book of Monsters mold will remain exclusive to the CMF though, at least for now

Except for the fact that Target has The Burrow listed for preorder now for August 15, which could be an indication of when to expect the other sets as well. One Lego store employee isn’t enough to combat that in my opinion. So far I haven’t had any emails saying the preorder is a mistake or anything

That happened to me with Hedwig and it meant I was too late. It never shipped so I cancelled the order

How disappointing

I would rather get Yule Ball Moody than any of those to be honest
