Yikes. I don’t think most people realize how many adults buy lego. We grew up in the Lego golden age. Kids today get iPads for Christmas so they aren’t as into a hands on, brain racking experience like building lego. We didn’t get this far by listening to naysayers! Ultimately it’s just a toy and we can get far too heated about it (myself definitely included) but it is a very lovely hobby, and I’m always very excited to buy new sets, even the ones that don’t appeal to me as much as other sets. I personally can’t wait for the Endgame wave, I love the team suits and I love the army building bad guys, and sometimes it just comes down to the novelty of getting the new sets

What’s this about a Yoda bust? Is there confirmation of that? Saw something about it on IG. If it’s real, I suppose it would go alongside the buildable BB-8 and Porg

I’m definitely ready for them to go back to releasing exclusive minifigs as a May 4th promo instead of these brick built droids. They’re kinda cool, but I would MUCH rather get an exclusive minifigure. Hopefully this will be the year

Exactly, and I personally hope that this alleged Tantive IV is a UCS display set, it’s long overdue That could work, it would make it wider than the traditional cone pieces which would be more accurate

The box literally said “Ultimate Collector Series” on it. And most UCS sets have some play features. Doesn’t make them MBS. But we should end this discussion because it doesn’t really belong in this thread. In the end, does it matter? Lego made it complicated and so everyone kinda has a different opinion on what belongs in what category. So let’s just let it be and get back to talking about 2019 sets, I shouldn’t have started a conversation that doesn’t belong in this thread anyway.

I know Assault On Hoth is officially UCS. But how is the Sandcrawler more similar to those? That’s just not true I completely disagree. Minifigures doesn’t make a difference. Both UCS and MBS have Minifigures now. The Sandcrawler is a highly detailed display piece. It’s much more in line with something like the Slave I than with something like Assault On Hoth. The focus of the Sandcrawler wasn’t the minifigures, it was the Sandcrawler itself.

The Sandcrawler was a specific detailed vehicle. It was officially UCS. Plus I said this is how lego is differentiating MOVING FORWARD. They said so specifically. Betrayal At Cloud City was officially the first Master Builder Series set. Moving forward, sets of a location based playset style like Cloud City, Assault On Hoth, and Ewok Village will be branded Master Builder Series. A Star Destroyer would be UCS unless the build consists only the inside of the ship. If we got an entire detailed Star Destroyer, it would be UCS.

Moving forward, UCS is for ships and other specific vehicles and MBS is for location based playsets. So a Tantive IV wouldn’t be MBS it would be UCS. The only way I could see it being MBS is if the build was made up of the hallways and passages ofthe ship rather than the entire blockade runner ship, which I think is unlikely and would be very disappointing.

I have been hearing a lot and seeing some pictures of a British style Spider-Man suit for FFH. That makes three new suits in this film and I sincerely hope all three are represented in the Lego sets. One for each set?

Finally getting Leia with the skirt piece! Well it’s hard for me to keep being skeptical about a Tantive IV at this point

I’m very much hoping we get a new Cap in the compound set, I really want that scaled armor from the promotional image, which I think is fairly likely, as he is probably the top seller under Iron Man

I haven’t really paid much attention to Ninjago sets so I didn’t know that, but it’s pretty nice looking in that color

I just noticed that the 20th Anniversary Podracer uses some bronze colored Uruk-Hai sword pieces on the sides of the engines. That just made me a lot more excited for that set. I’m actually very surprised the molds for those are still around.

White short legs are easy to get through the Harry Potter CMF Draco Malfoy in his Quidditch outfit. A Quidditch variant of Harry was also included in a $30 set with white short legs. I’m sure they are available elsewhere as well, but the Draco Malfoy CMF is probably the cheapest way to get them if you’re good at feeling the blind bags and your stores still carry them.

The problem is that the Bricktober promotion is only March 1-7, but the Endgame sets don’t come out until April from what we’ve been told.

The only way this could possibly makes sense is if the Engame sets are releasing a month early. Otherwise, no one has $75 worth of marvel sets to buy

I would very much prefer a GOF graveyard with Wormtail and Lucius at least. I would love those updated minifigs. But we’ll see soon enough I suppose. I don’t want to accidentally start unsubstantiated rumors
