LEGO Star Wars 2019 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Balrogofmorgoth replied to Stash2Sixx's topic in LEGO Star Wars
The 20th Anniversary sets look fantastic, especially the Scout Walker! The only one I might pass on is the Slave I since it’s so expensive and I have the UCS version. It depends on how much the Princess Leia Anniversary minifig goes for on eBay...Zuckuss shouldn’t be hard to get. Already have 4-LOM and the Han from the UCS Falcon and CC -
No worries, good news is still good news no matter how many times you hear it!

If that’s the case, I hope it at least includes the Dursley’s as minifigs because having just the bus with Harry, Stan, and Ernie is just not all that interesting these days. It’ll be an immediate buy for me regardless, as will every one of these sets, but for whatever reason, I really want the Dursley’s and this seems like the set to include them unless they are being saved for a future CMF series

You’re exactly right, he used the plans to engineer a new suit, you clearly see the old mk1 suit when Pepper says “I thought it would be bigger”. The mk1 suit was destroyed during the Malibu Mansion attack in Iron Man 3 along with the mk5, and mk41 was destroyed later during the movie so these suits appearing in an Endgame set means time travel or they are just Easter eggs that lego wanted to give us for this set. Extras if you will, even though it’s not quite accurate -
Oh absolutely, I think all of the connectable Hogwarts section sets are multi-year sets with a focus on one in particular. I feel like the Great Hall focuses most on SS while including some aspects of COS and likewise the WW set focuses most on COS while including aspects of SS and POA. It’s a brilliant strategy by lego and makes the sets far more desirable. But sets like Aragog’s Lair and most likely Triwizard Challenge are meant to cover one specific scene from a specific film which is great too. So lego knows what they’re doing and are giving us what we’ve wanted for a long time. I’m really excited about any HP sets they give us and will certainly be buying them all, regardless of whether or not they are in my top wishlist sets That’s very true, for all we know his isn’t all of them, we certainly had a surprise or two last wave. And idk if they would include Privet Drive I’m the Knight Bus set (it would certainly be nice) but I’m hoping we at least get the Dursleys in the set

With a molded head it could work, as long as they make the body and legs thick and full and not skeletal looking like most brick built dragons. It would make it look to robotic like the ninjago dragons. I absolutely love Smaug’s wings though and I really hope they can bring those back. If there even is a Horntail, I don’t want to get ahead of myself here. But Lego knows that big creatures sell very well so I don’t doubt it will happen at some point even if it isn’t this year

This is all I’ll say on the matter. You absolutely have a right to your opinion. You don’t like that the figures don’t have arm printing and it makes them seem incomplete and brings down their value to you personally. I totally understand that, I wish they had arm printing but my my personal opinion is that they look phenomenal without it anyway (though I of course would not say no to adding arm printing). However, your assessment of laziness on lego’s part is not a matter of opinion, and is in fact false. You’re not the only one here who has blamed lego of laziness either, and it never is actually laziness, it is all about budgeting. They are a big company and they know what they’re doing, and we can’t just say they got lazy every time they come out with something that doesn’t live up to our expectations. It all comes down to budgeting. That’s how it works. It’s not a matter of opinion, it’s fact. Lego isn’t lazy, they just know how to budget out their products in a way that makes them the most money. You are welcome to your opinion on the figures themselves, that’s completely fine. But saying it’s from laziness on the part of lego simply isn’t true and is not even a matter of opinion. -

How great would it be if Tony has to use the mark 1 suit for the final battle? -
Personally, I think brick built dragons look terrible. I don’t buy ninjago sets but I’ve seen the dragons and I don’t like them at all. I thought Smaug was perfect so I really want that style for the Horntail
-
I think that would be more than satisfactory. It’s probably what they’ll end up doing
-
ME TOO. We’re getting one GOF set this wave so hopefully we’ll get at least two school champions. Next year I think it is safe to assume there will be more GOF sets and therefore more opportunity to get essential characters like Fleur, Krum, Madame Maxime, Karkaroff, Rita Skeeter, Barty Crouch, and hopefully some merpeople and some Yule Ball variations of characters I think it’s a different tower but for the set I can see them combining it, which would be fine with me

It seems the Triwizard set is about half the pieces of the Quidditch set, but I almost the same price, only a slightly lower. Maybe a big molded Horntail? I’m hoping for that

I would love for it to come with more armors but I doubt it as well. One suit from each Iron Man movie makes sense, though I would certainly not say no to more -
Luna has only come in the CMF series. She came in a Hogwarts Express set years ago but not this time around

Mark 5 and 41 are really nice, this set will be a best seller for sure, I can’t wait to see what else will be included. Lego really went all out on these figures -
I would love a dragon similar to Smaug especially with those wing pieces. Although all we know is the piece count and if the Horntail is molded, it wouldn’t use that many pieces so it would still be a lower count just with a bit of a higher price. So the piece count really doesn’t rule it out entirely, though it’s still unlikely, but who knows at this point
-
It wouldn’t be under the Great Hall, they only considered that for a combined set but that’s not even where it belongs, they would put it somewhere else. But I totally agree with you about this wave being awesome even though it skips over the rest of SS and COS. I honestly feel like lego will go back to those if the theme lasts long enough. These upcoming sets sound extremely satisfying and I’m very happy about them as well
-
I get that they made a lot of sets from movies 1 and 2 but they are so outdated that they don’t matter anymore. They are irrelevant. I hope they go back and make the sets that are currently missing from 1 and 2 because of how classic and important they are. But I also am completely fine with lego’s current trajectory of sets. I’m sure they’ll go back and fill in some gaps once they’ve covered a general summation of all 8 films.

Do we know if any other suits will be included besides the Mark 1, Mark 5, and Mark 41?
