  1. Wow! Its been a while. Since my last update a lot has happened! We moved, got a couple of kids, got to expend my collection and now have my own dedicated room to legos! Well, have to share a little bit of that room, but it's still a lot of space! not quite sure if should remain updating here, because it's far more then just a street anymore. But here are a few pics of the last couple of weeks: IMG_2050 by David Schröder, on Flickr IMG_2066 by David Schröder, on Flickr IMG_2068 by David Schröder, on Flickr IMG_0080 by David Schröder, on Flickr IMG_0079 by David Schröder, on Flickr IMG_0078 by David Schröder, on Flickr IMG_0077 by David Schröder, on Flickr Still a lot of work what has to been done and part to order, but I'm on the right track!
  2. Actually the trains are made by Siemens and Bombardier ;-) But verily nicely done! Especially the colour scheme!
  3. Really nice MOC! Love the improvements that you made!
  4. Got the 3677 Red cargo train, the 3938 Passengertrain and the 10228 Haunted House today :) All 25% off!
  5. After a small dark age... again! I got back in business! I got the 10232 Cinema Palace, 10233 Horizon express (2x) and a few city sets and one creator: 60003, 60008, 60010, 60016, 60017, 60018 and 31009. Planning to get some sets this weekend. Mainly 'cause my local supplier had 25% of this saturday
  6. Brickshop has listed it as the 10228 in their shop with a release date of August 1.
  7. Yesterday I bought the 4204 Mine, and the 4429 helicopter rescue at my local toystore
  8. Yeah, I work in the transport division as a service specialist in the Netherlands mostly urban transportation in Amsterdam, the Hague and Rotterdam. Trains and trackside structures. The Vectron liverys are still mostly Siemens ones unfortunately. The Hercules locs are nice too. But what do you think of a complete Railjet from the ÖBB
  9. Just took a look at your Flickr account, what an amazing models you've created!
  10. I like to mentioned a webshop here from the Netherlands. I started buying at him last year because of his low prices and early availability here in the Netherlands. He is expanding right now, so the prices have come up a little but still wel under the normal retail prices. He has his own website and is also located on BrickLink His prices are really good. I got the 9468 Monster Fighters Castle for just over 84 EUROs for example Toys U Want speelgoedkoop
  11. One of the nicest locomotives my company produces I love how you got the curves for the cab done, they look awesome! I'm curious how u would do the Vectron loc's from Siemens.
  12. oh oh oh! Can I guess?! My guess it's a circular saw bench? The MOC looks real accurate to the real thing. Love the gondola! Can't wait to see the whole thing finished!
  13. To bad that the seller said it was in mint condition... Smokers smell, and lots of chewed of pieces. Time for bricklink to replace the majority of the white pieces! Oh well, luckily the set cost me just €15
  14. got three nice sets today
  15. Nice MOD's! Gives a great medieval town center feel to it. Love the church, looks great!
  16. Hey guys, I would like to join the Academy. I made 2 reviews the past week and feel there's still a lot of room for improvement. The requirements are no problem for me!
  17. Hi Guys, after yesterdays review I couldn't resist myself of posting another one. I chose a set that hasn't been reviewed before, this was the only one in my collection. So I hope you enjoy it! --------- 7498 Police Station Theme: City Subtheme: Police Year released: 2011 Pieces: 783 Minifigs: 6 Price: €99,99 S@H the box The box is quite large, but so are all boxes these days. The front show a nice overview of the complete set. On the back we can see the playability of the set with the special feature's. Pieces Almost 800 pieces, lots of plates and columns for the building. I already build the set once, so al the stickers are already applied. Instructions 4 books for the complete set. the minifigs The minifigs look nice and there are 6 of them. I also like the dog with the printed head police car 01 So lets go on with the build. Booklet 1 lets us build the first car of the set. The build is really straight forward as all of todays 4 wide cars. The finished car is nice overall, fits nice between the current City police cars. police car 02 The second booklet lets us build the next car of the set. It's a little van for the dog patrol. The build is again straight forward with nothing special going on. The finished car looks great, I really like the addition of the roof rack. garage and prison Booklet 3 lets us build the first part of the building of the station. The double garage looks real nice, on top of that there are the 2 prison cells. There's a dog pen with a bowl and a bone wich is a nice addition. I wonder why I would put the crow bars under the beds of the prison cells, makes it kinda easy to escape for the prisoners... The cell doors that slide in in front of the cells lets you close and open the cells. For playability the prisoners can escape at the back of the toilets and can climb down rain drainpipe. main building The fourth book lets you build the main building of the police station. The first floor finished. It has a front desk with a phone and big screen where you can see al the crime's happening and sent out car to it. The second floor. Where the officers can take the mugshots of the prisoners. The third floor with the water cooler and coffee machine. There's also a desk with some clues to solve the next crime. The finished building. The only thing I really miss with this set is a chopper. A shame that the platform is empty. The complete set Design & Build: 8/10 - Real nice design Parts: 8/10 - Lots of plates and 2 garage doors wich I always liked! Almost 800 pieces. Minifigures: - 9/10 6 minifig's is always a good catch, but nothing real fancy. Playability: - 10/10 two trucks, a trailer and a commando center! I know I would love this if I had this back in the late 80's! Value: 8/10 - I got the set for €80. I think the asking price from Lego is a little bit to high. Overall: 43/50 - It's a real nice set with lot's of playability, the 2 cars are a nice build. But I think it lags a chopper, you have the platform, but it sits empty up there on the roof. Thanks for reading.
  18. I took the apart the truck to make some pic's. Hope there's enough detail there for you
  19. is building

  20. Hi fellow Eurobrickers. After being in a little dark age the last few month, because i'm trying to sell my house and got it cleaned up (getting all my sets to storage). I found some time (and acceptance from my girlfriend ) to buy and build a few of this years sets. This one was the only sets that still wasn't reviewed, so here's my first attempt of a review! ---------------- 4430 Fire Transporter Theme: City Subtheme: Forest Fire Year released: 2012 Pieces: 552 Minifigs: 3 Price: €49,99 S@H, I got it for €41,95 the box The box is quite large for the truck, but so are all today's boxes. Nothing special on the front side of the box, just a nice overview of the complete set. The back show the playability of the set and let's you get a glimpse of the suspension of the 8x8 fire truck. Notice the City fire fighter saying "Hey!" and not a forest fire fighter. Instructions Three models, a set of three instructions, I dislike todays divided sets because it makes it way to easy to build. The fun of searching for a piece doesn't really exist anymore. Thats why I always get the pieces in one big pile and search for the pieces, makes the building time a bit longer . the minifigs I really love the new torso's, printed legs and dark red helmets! The torso's and legs are all the same. We have a 8x8 truck driver, A guy who controls the water cannon and a trail truck driver. trailer truck I like the truck, but it feels a bit small with the overall set. The only thing they could done better is the top of the bonnet, it's looks unfinished. Compared to the truck from 3221 it looks a bit small and simple, I really would liked a truck more similar to the 3221. With just a few other pieces the truck looks much better. (didn't have right color parts at home, sorry for that, but it give's you an idea). the trailer I really like this trailer because of the command center. It gives the set a lot of playability. In the command center there's a computer with printed tiles, wich I really love! the size of the DSS are becoming larger with every set. And there's really a lack of printed pieces. Of course there is a coffee machine, wich fire fighter or policeman in Lego City can go to work without a cup of that delicious black gold . Next to the computer there's also a bed for one of the fire fighters. On top we have a antenna and a satellite dish for communication with base and in the front there is a little storage space for the two fence's. The rest of the truck is just a flatbed for transporting the 8x8 truck, so nothing special there, but it makes the trailer quite huge. 8x8 truck This is my favorit part of the set, it's a nice large amphibious truck, there are 3 axles that are jointed in the middel and can move freely up and down to created suspension for rugged terrain. On the back of the truck there's a large fan to cool the engine. In the middel of the truck is a turret for the water cannon in wich a fire fighter can take on the forest fire's. On the right back side is a compartment in wich there is a fire extinguisher stored. complete set The complete set is huge for a truck! The overal length is 47cm (19')! But overal it looks very nice! Conclusion Design & Build: 7/10 - It's a nice design, build something could have been better like I mentioned before, and it's quite an easy build. Parts: 7/10 - Nothing new or special, but still over 500 parts! Minifigures: - 8/10 I really like the new torso's and printed legs, too bad you get the same three. Playability: - 10/10 two trucks, a trailer and a commando center! I know I would love this if I had this back in the late 80's! Value: 7/10 - I got the set for €41,95. Thats also the price I would recommend it for, €49,95 is just a bit to high Overall: 39/50 - It's a real nice set with lot's of playability, some nice parts but nothing real special. The 8x8 truck is a great design. If you have a forest next to your City it's a must have! Because there's is no forest fire brigade ;-) Thanks for reading.
  21. Bought this set 3 months ago with the monorail expansion for just over 300 euro's in absolute mint condition! Loved the set ever since! To bad I never got it as a kid. I can recommend it to everyone!
  22. Just love how busy the street looks! The tram looks awesome too! Big fan of old trams :)
  23. Thanks for the advice, it crossed my mind to so I managed to re-arrange some buildings to get that fixed. The other option was to give one of the robbers a jetpack There is still a gap next to the bank, but I mirrored it and placed in the little corner of the parking spaces. In the gap there is room for the cash truck to "try" to deliver the goods safely So this is how it looks at the moment Still thinking of getting another straight road plate to get that square out of the way. At the moment I only got the 10211 Grand Emporium and the 10197 Fire Brigade, I'm hoping that a mate of mine gets the Green Grocer in stock next month. The Pet Shop will be joining the rest somewhere in september hopefully. The Cafe Corner and the Market Street are a bit to expensive for me. There's little change of those two joining the other building unfortunately.
  24. A little bump I've been collecting a lot of sets the past month, guess I got 30 sets since the beginning of june. My girlfriend is going a little crazy about it, but I'm in luck that she like's Lego too unfortunately I got a few big sets that can't add in my little street, but I could get some work done on the pavement and re-arranged some buildings. First of I redit the transportion hub. I added the the shop and a few other things from the 8404 transportation station. I also got the 3661 City Bank. It was the only new addition I could make in the street due lack of space. Also I got lot's of tile's to continue on the pavement, but I still came short, so that will be another Bricklink order Still a little sad that I can't add the 7208 firestation, 8403 City house of the the modulair buildings I got. Guess I need a little patience till we move and I have a bigger space for al the sets... But for now, enjoy the pictures
  25. Got this set 2 days ago, strange thing is that i'm missing several bricks. one dark red corner brick, two 3x1 grey bricks and a 12 stud plate. This is my first set that I got thats not complete. Although the box was sealed and al the bags too... But overall I think this set is great. But some rooms for the fireman to crash in would be nice too.
