That's what I was trying to say in the message you quoted, I wasn't referring to anything Paul did specifically, but others have done it. Not long ago someone tried to sell Pauls design as his own and he had all sorts of mumbo jumbo on the auction page.

There have been ebay auctions of models 'copyrighted' by their owners and there was some hint towards that about the engines in question. But lets keep it at that. No hate :)

Paul, you don't know me, but I have heard and read about you, and with all due respect I think you're overreacting. I've worked with Nathanael a long time ago at the first few Lego World expositions in Zwolle (NL), so I know a bit about the time and dedication it takes to create models like you do. But if you inspire others with great creations, people will mimic them, and there's nothing you can do about that. If they are willing to pay a few bucks to acquire the instructions to re-create your creations to the stud, more power to them. But charging for moc instructions should not be a given, and putting copyright next to a moc is cute, but ultimately futile. - Sok.

You could make yourself a nice charging station with some 12v parts. Question is, how long would you have to charge the LEGO battery to get a decent run time?

Nice one :) I built exactly this last fall but it would only run for a meter or so before the synchronisation between the pistons and the pneumatic switches broke :(

I may steal your buffer design and adapt it to fit into my 12v collection ;)

I got my hands (cheaply!) on an incomplete 7745, and wanted to use the parts for something nice. I do not want to use the panorama roof parts, first of all because they are ridiculously expensive and second because I don't think they look quite as good on the 7745 as they do on the metro liner. Is this the minimum acceptable height? I could take a single plate off of both stories which would lower the windows a little but also allow me to shape the roof much nicer. I'm looking to buy some small neodymium magnets to help pull longer trains, and I was wondering if anyone has experience with this site, and more specifically this type of magnet: http://www.kjmagnetics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=ZD19 They are nice small and cheap and still very much stronger than the standard LEGO magnets, so they seem like a good pick. - Sok

There are 6 large supports and many small ones, 5 minifigs, and a lot of small space-related parts. All the white parts show some yellowing.

I have a load of items lying around from the 6990 monorail. It's incomplete but also has some extra items compared to the original set: 4x large curves 4x large straight 2x small straight 2x directional switches 1x monorail motor which works but the undercarriage is damage at one point, doesn't impede function though 2x monorail carriage several minifigs with related items multiple battery boxes and 9v leads awhole lot of space theme things, window panes, supports and other bricks Everything is a little yellowed. Any idea what it would be worth or if anyone's interested? - Sok.

Are you going to power that with a single trafo?

You could at least have posted a good picture of 8868. And yes, while this is a particularly nice studless reconstruction, I still prefer the original.

Can you substantiate this?

When I was 7 and got 8868 for my birthday I spent an entire weekend building the alternate model, and afterwards I could hardly believe that it worked
