Both castles are so perfect! But my favourite is the one that cracked up. Haven´t seen a cracked up castle before. Sure castles that has been demolished by an attacking force but never before has "mother nature" been the opponent! Just perfect!! de Gothia

Crusader, with the Queen who rules the Kingdom The White Lions, the leader is son to the Queen (The new Lions knights) The Royal Lions, the leader is the old war advisor to the queen The Royal Knights, the leader is the Queens uncle The Lions have an alliance with these Black Falcon Black Knights Dragon Knights (The new Dragon knights) The Crownies The Dragons they are all in war against these: The Snakes The Bulls Wolfpack These fellows doesn´t care about the raging war. Forestmen so in all there are 13 factions, all which I´m building a castle/lair for. de Gothia

Thank you so much for all kind words! The overhang yes, well it´s a misscalculation from my side. It´s supposed to be an overhang on both sides, but in my building I totally forgot it... Thank you so much again! Next up is the queens sons castle. de Gothia

Hi again, it´s time for newest project and also my smallest! Built on a 32x32 plate. My first attempt with yellow roof. Not sure if I like it or not! The Royal Lions Cedric, the owner of this manor have served his queen well as an war advisor. He is proud to wear the lion emblem as an honor to his queen, but have given the crest a little twist. Now he is retired and his biggest concern now days are to keep all the men away from her daughter. C&c are always most welcome! more pictures here when moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=478893 de Gothia

A truly nice little set! I´m also thinking of building something like this or perhaps a ballista. Does the ballista work? Nice part use with the black hood! de Gothia

A great looking moc you got there! I also like the round tower but my favourite part has to be the gatehouse, it reminds me of Visby city wall. The first tower in this picture

The Dragons Knights are heading home through the forest. They have just been in the Queens Castle talking about an alliance. The Dragons Knights are unsure wheter to join or not, they are not on the hunt for war and wants to live peacefully in their lands. A big crack followed by a large tree that falls over the old road suprises the Knights. On the surrounding hills Bulls Knights swarms down to the road. Later on this ambush makes the Dragons Knights to join the Queen and her alliance on her mission after the Bulls Knights, Wolfpack and the Snakes! C&C are much welcome! A small Vig I´ve built before I will start with my next castle. More pictures here when BS is moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=477551

Thank you! If you do that, please post some images of your work here on EB! To answer your question: No, the tower is just a look out tower for the ships that comes in i the protected harbour. de Gothia

REVIEW: 7949 Prison Carriage Escape
de Gothia replied to Rumble Strike's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thanks for the nice review! A great set in my opinion. 3 minifigs and one horse for that price is really nice these days! As close as you get to a battlepack! (I missed to buy the B.P... , the dragon knights would have been great!) de Gothia -
Nice review! I don´t have this set, although it would be nice to have it. The minifigs are great! Gotto love those Dragon Knights! de Gothia
-
I like it! But not the fact that Wolfpack is being sent of the worlds surface! I really like the Wolfpack "Zorro" on the castle! de Gothia

Overview of the LEGO Castle Range 1960-2011
de Gothia replied to SirSven7's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
oh, this surely brings back memories! Great review!!! I´m really glad that i started to build with Lego Castle around 1985-86 and then entered my dark age by the time the Fright Knights came out. After this poor sets they got even worse as you said! I came back into Lego around 2006/2007. It doesen´t look like I missed anything during that period! I didn´t like the Fantasy Era that much (although the MMV was topnotch!)but with the new Kingdoms line it feels like TLG brought back the old style combined with new styles and minifigs! Got to love those Dragon knights!!!! de Gothia -
Big medieval landscape: BIG UPDATE on page 26
de Gothia replied to maydayartist's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The amount of details you put into this huge landscape is amazing! I like the minifigures posing, they look very much alive! Don´t you get the same "syndrome" as me when you do this big scaled moc? I always get tired of the moc and start to think about the next instead... But I´ve never built this big before of course! de Gothia
