So, it´s getting closer to the end in my serie to create a castle for each of my factions. This time it´s the Crown Knights The Crownies lives high up in the mountains. They have no cavalry since the horses cannot make it to the castle. For that reason the castle is very hard to lay siege on. The leader stands at the crest of his castle and let the morning sun warm his body, it´s always a bit colder up here. C&C as always much welcome! A Guide to building a Medieval Village

This is so great Derfel! Two questions.. One that Teabox asked a little earlier... is there a reason to have tiles under the river instead of plates? What part have you used to build the tree in the pic? I would love if you could give me a bricklink number. They look so awesome! :) Guide to building a detailed medieval village 084 by - Derfel Cadarn -, on Flickr -

Really great Derfel! I like the river alot and your technique gives t a very crisp and natural look! The house is also great and I´m planning on buying som dark brown, cause it´s like you said... It really fits well with the white! Fun to se how many "Derfel inspired buildings" that will pop up after your guide! I´m one of those builders! -
It has a really classic castle style to it! I like it alot! Fun to se lava instead of water under the bridge! The dragon chained to the island is a nice touch!

Really lovely build! I agree that the tree is perfect now!

A Guide to building a Medieval Village

Really nice start there! My only wish is that your chapters should be in an own thread and all the praise and feedback in another. That way it doesn´t get so messy readning your great Guide! -

This is going to be very intresting! Your buildings are one of my favourites! Can´t wait for the first post! -
Thanks again! The Dragon masters have always been my evil buddies and this time was no execption!
-
A nice little keep you got there! I also like the ruins and the great backstory to it! Try to break up the rather uniform look of the landscape by adding smaller plates. Great job!

It´s not that hard to do. Find your Black Falcons image and print it out on paper that is for clothes transfers. Just iron it and then cut it out and add it to your minifig.. I have done several times: etc

My latest build (soon done with all my factions) and this time it´s the Dragon Masters The history speaks of people who once could tame dragons. The history became legend but the people lives on. On an island in the Northeast part of the Kingdom, not far from the Black Knights, lives the Lord Nogard. He has sworn his loyalty to the Quuen. But as his castle begins to crumble and his people lives in poverty he shakes hand with the devil himself. Count Ymene has started a war against the Queen and he and his Wildboars promise Lord Nogard richness and power if he joins to them... The treason shakes the foundation of the Kingdom.... C&C is much welcome! Dragon Masters by de Gothia, on Flickr Dragon Masters by de Gothia, on Flickr Dragon Masters by de Gothia, on Flickr

The snot rocks are amazing! The castle itself reminds me of a cathredal or a church with the big window and the arch!

Wow! It really gives you that cosy feeling. Almost so you can hear the waterfall and the birds! As said before, that waterfall with the foam is excellent!!

My wallet will surely be happy if TLG replaces Kingdoms with a licensed theme. I´m allergic to licensed themes and the fleshie figs! It much more expensive to get a set just because the figs looks like some movie character. So I really hope that castle will remain as one of three branches (city and space being the other two)of Lego that they never take away...

I really like the fact that it has a classic castle style to it with a modern twist ! The side entrance really reminds me of the Camouflaged Outpost 6066.

I really hope it´s not some fantasy thing in this! Let Kingdoms be a non fantasy theme! Please! I would love to see one knight from each faction plus a faction that is totally new. A tent for each faction plus squires and soldiers. Some civilians, beer tent, some jesters and a pavilion for the nobles!
