Guilds of Historica Introduction/General Discussion Thread
de Gothia replied to I Scream Clone's topic in Guilds of Historica
Western grasslands for me! -
This is starting to sound real fun and intresting!! 4 guilds sounds great and the name south, north, west and east sounds like a good start. Maybe that north has a colder climate (elves, dwarfs etc), south of course warmer with maybe some prince of persia/arabian inspired mocs? east is where the evil live (orcs skeletons etc) and west is the land of men...? I would like to choose guild in the first round, just to get started with the building...

This castle is going to be huge! I Really like the gate, very imposing! Hope you have the patience to complete it.

Thank you all so much! Derfel: Thanks, I´m inspired by your works in my landscape! I just love the tree made of the tubes!

Thanks again!

Great work with that summary SI-mocs!!! Even if I started to look on this topic in the beginning it was quickly added more posts that I didn´t have the time to read so it was perfect!

de Gothia signing up... -
Thanks! This moc took about 2 weeks. Viceroy: Thanks! I thought it would be a good idea not to show the battle itself but the aftermath as you said!
-
Thanks a lot!! Lordofdragonss: Oh thank you, glad you liked it so much! Khorne: Thanks. Yes the start of the great war has been in some of me prev mocs. As in my Bulls Knights, Dragon Masters and in my moc "Ambush". The remaining two factions will also show this. It´s the Dragon Knights and the Wildboars left. Before these are made I have a couple ideas that I´m going to build.
-
Here we go again. This time it´s the Royal Knights The attack was sudden. The Royal Knights didn´t know what happen on the evening when the stones began to drop down from the sky. The western wall soon crumbled down. Soon the Bulls Knights began to storm the castle. In the morning the catapults were thorned down. The bodies laid shattered around the debris of what once was the western wall. Many lifes were gone but the Royal Knights had succeded to defend their homes. The dead were buried and the slaugthered enemies was burned. Some of the soldiers had discovered some Dragon Masters amongs the dead. Soon they realized their betrayal. The great war was here... C&C much welcome! Oh my favorite faction ever! Well written article as always! You are spoiling us! I´ve got three copies of 6086 and two of 6085. As soon as I started to earn money I snapped them up! I had one of each as a kid but had always dreamt of more so the adult me bought the little me some extra!

Jumper plates is great for setting up minifigs on tiled areas!
-
Really well done! The roof is very well done!

Great start you got there! Some advices as I did in your other thread. As said before, the river is very straight. You could make a curve to it. Or make it channelized with some stones on the side and lead it to a watermill..? Flowers, stems, stones or trees will make the river look more natural. That´s pretty much all the advice I could give you as there is no houses yet! Looking forward to see this village grow!

Looks really cosy, but where is the forestmen from cmf1? Some advices. The landscape could use some plates to break up the rather uniform baseplate (I understand if that is hard if you don´t have the bricks). Perhaps some trees? Or just spread out the flowers you have so it doesn´t grow i rows.

A Guide to building a Medieval Village
de Gothia replied to Derfel Cadarn's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Really great Derfel! (whats up with your changed name?! ) It´s fun to see buildings that is not normal "putting bricks on each other". The result is stunning! After my Royal Knights moc that is soon to be done I have to build some houses from your guide!!! -
Forgive a newbie question.. These Guilds, do each member choose which guild to join? Then this team (guild) build up mocs. These mocs can be a castle, a forge, a battle and must include your faction? How do we build up a micro map? It´s pretty far from the members to join together and build it... I really like the ideas that have been brought up here. An own page for mocs would def help to sort out these from other threads. Derfel, my suggestion is to start a new guide to your new house techniques.

Do you know if he sells these signs? I live in Sweden so it´s not that far away!
-
A really cosy little moc you got there! I like the waterfall and the houses are just perfect! How have you done the sign "Dalheim"? Printed? It´s really good!
-
Lovely!!! The house is well intergrated with the nature around it! Great work! Planning to expand it?
-
Wow! It´s simply stunning! The bear is very impressive but the thing I like the most is the cave it self! The grey parts in the tan is really spot on! great work!
-
Wow! What a cool photo! Fun to see somene use the gladiator helmet! Where are that printed arm from on one of the guys?!
-
The house looks very nice but the picture is sadly very blurry...?

Really good! I can see you have been inspired by Derfel but you have give the moc your own touch! Great work!
