That's megabloks of you to make fun of me when you clearly read my post wrong. Megabloks, I tell you. -

What is it milling? Air? Dust? I think it's both. -
I voted PotC. The minifigs are so awesome. I can't stand looking at my yellow pirate horde after getting all these fleshies. The colors you get for peices is way more realistic than classic pirates. All the new stuff in the PotC sets makes the old pirates look very dated.

That little comic is ridonkulossa. I love the pirate drinking from the wine glass. It looks like he's laughing his megablocks off at the fleshie.

Soldiers torso from London Escape pink print?
Captain BeerBeard replied to Captain Green Hair's topic in LEGO Pirates
Sure i'll post some pictures. My location is Crown Point, Indiana USA. That's about 20 miles away from Chicago. Here is the bad hat print. Hope that helps. This should probably be it's own thread. -

I agree with that. I left that out in my rant. Haha! I was wondering why there was yellow bricks just sitting around. -

My soldiers torso's look great. The paint on the hats isn't too good, though. -

Thank you r1chard for being so open minded and understanding were I'm coming from even though we don't agree 100%. You made a lot of good points. Respect! -
I like how you used those gold knob plates. I wish my trading post was that big. One day....

[Review] 7189-1 Mill Village Raid
Captain BeerBeard replied to Donut's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I was really looking forwad to this set. It suffers from lack of detail. The only reason to get it is for the animals. The buildings are very plain compared to the market village. There should have been some fences for the animals. I can't get over how plain and colorless this set feels. It's called mill village raid. Where's this village at? It would have been better if they increased the price on this and gave us a home for the villagers and a ton of detail. Why does my opinion have to be a rant because I didn't jump on the bandwagon and praise a subpar set? -

This set is garbage. What is the point of the windmill? What is the point of the empty barn? The minifigures are lame. Are they supposed to be updates to MMV? Good review. I'm really not going to waste any money on this. -
Are POTC sets too expensive?
Captain BeerBeard replied to Swashbuckling buccaneer's topic in LEGO Pirates
Where I live, the sets have been sold out multiple times in every store i go to. There is no such thing as a certain line being cheaper or more expensive than any other. Look at city sets price to peice ratio. The PotC sets are the best quality sets ever made. Someone posted that lego sets are luxury items. They are exactly that. You don't need them to live. I want a ferrari but, it's too expensive. Prices are the same as in the 80's. Think if these toys followed the trend of everything else's price increase. I'm just saying "think about that..". -
So I made out like a pirate? I'm still calling back. I'm going to wait a little and see if my wench wakes me up with another mystery package. I'll give it two weeks.
-
It would be funny if a pirate pushed that skeleton down on those blue coats! Thanks for the new pictures.
-
I just got it a little bit ago. I had to take my son to the park. I hate waiting to build an awesome set.
-
I was thinking about that. It's like a gold boulion. I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong. You can stick'em under coins in mocs to make your gold pile look bigger.
-
I I was bummed about the bars. The gold coins more than doubled my vintage collection. I was actually happy to see all those or blown away be more like it. The chrome knife does exist. My brother had some with some kind of diver set a few years ago.
-
Me wench wake me up to this today. They were supposed to send me eight shiny gold bars and thirty-two peices of the new gold coins. They sent me six 1x2 knob plates and thirty-two sprues of gold. What a let down. I guess I'm going to have to call again and complain for them to correct my replacment parts order. EDIT: I know there's only thirty-one there. I lost one in my bed after counting them. In the letter it says they be sttraight from Denmark. It took alomst three weeks for these to come.

Reference what part of that, exactly? Thank you in advance.

That is awesome! Very original. Is the dark brown supposed to be wet sand?

Will TLG release keychains for the POTC minifigs?
Captain BeerBeard replied to Juppy's topic in LEGO Pirates
Aren't the keychain figures glued together? -
If only you could buy european absinthe in america. We only have the non-trippin kind. You have to order the good kind here and it's around two-hundred dollars a bottle. That's without overseas shipping.

Will TLG release keychains for the POTC minifigs?
Captain BeerBeard replied to Juppy's topic in LEGO Pirates
I wish people would quit complaining about the price of POTC sets. The bottom line is you get what you pay for. If your willing to pay five dollars for a fig your going to mutilate, why not just by some of the sets and get your moneys worth. It's better than mocing with metal sticking out of your figs head.
