REVIEW: 8827 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6
Stormbringer replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Sweet! Looks like I'm going to get alot of my favorites easier than I thought (with the exception of the Roman). The sleepy head figure gave me quite a laugh though. I mean that face, it's sure scary when you just woke up! -
Care to share? *drools*

I love this scale to Pokemon and has me thinking of a few ideas myself. Charmeleon certainly has that anime look and great work shapping his body. The only thing I'm not happy with is the photography, where the color red is all distorted. I wish there is some way to fix that (which happens to my pics as well).

Thank you!

It has been so long since I've added anything on here. With the MocOlympics and CCCIX, I've been almost non-active on this site. I mostly hanging around Mocpages nowadays. My next build is possible my largest and last Compilation, which will have 12 Pokemon and a battle arena. Featuring Flygon, Scizor, Skarmory, Mewtwo (not shown), Armaldo, Zoroark, Blaziken, Honchkrow, Torterra, Moltres (also not shown), Garchomp, and Metagross *exhales..* You can see an entire battle played out on my Mocpages - http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/281619 Here are the Pokemon. First off is Skarmory, the Steel / Flying type. He is covered in a metallic armor, as well as it's wings. The wings also serve as sharp swords for slicing. Next is Flygon, the "Spirit of the Desert". This Dragon / Ground Pokemon has red goggles covering it's eyes due to living in harsh climates of the desert. Third up is Scizor, one of my favorites. He is much slower than Scyther, but makes it up for being more defensive and stronger. It uses it's claws that look like heads for intimidating others. Zoroark is a bipedal fox-like Pokemon. It is most notable for it's massive mane that is almost like a ponytail. He is capable for creating illusions, making him look like other Pokemon and even people. In battle Zoroark can make convincing illusions of attacks of other Pokemon, tricking other trainers that things do not appear to be. I'm not all into Black/White, but this guy is one of the few who caught my attention. A very simple build, but without that ridiculous ponytail Zoroak becomes surprisingly unbalanced. Back View Number five is the bipedal amphibious Armaldo, a prehistoric Pokemon. It is found no longer in the wild, but has been ressurected by advance technology. Honchkrow was another fun Pokemon to make. He is the evolved form of Murkrow, and wears something like a fedora hat on it's head. This buzzard is known to be ruthless and can be seen flying in great flocks with other Murkrow's. The next one was a tough cookie to crack, but I eventually made it. Torterra looks similar to an ankylosaurus and a turtle. It has a huge shell where rocks and vegetation grow on it, including a tree. He is perhaps too small and flat, but works out for being minifig scale. Back view. This one is perhaps one of the most difficult and expensive Pokemon to assemble. Garchomp has the appearance of a jet or a plane. Even though he cannot fly, it can move a great speeds. These cave-dwelling dragons are territorial and ferocious predators that will not hesitate to lash out at intruders or let it's prey escape. Back view. Last up is my main prize, Metagross. He has the appearance of a quadrupedal tank-like Pokemon, and is almost like a super-computer. Perhaps my favorite Pokemon of the compilation, and the longest to make. I've attempted to just about make him minifig-sized without making him too bulky. Side view. Here is a group shot of the Gym Leader's Pokemon, and the Trainer's line up. Apart of a full battle featured on Mocpages - http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/281619 I hope you enjoyed these guys as much as I made them.

This is incredible!

Oh wow! You've nailed Onix's rocky body and head perfectly.

Jurassic Park---Tyrannosaurus rex's attack
Stormbringer replied to benny's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I've been looking for this. When I saw this moc on minifigs.net I was flabbergasted! Most creatures and dino's I've seen hardly had any studs sticking out, but I think they look good on him. Btw I have a question. Right underneath the moc where you had the JP name highlighted (not shown), it looked like there was an additional scene. Was it the part where the two raptors were stalking the kids? I'd very much like to see that. -
This is INCREDIBLE! Absolutely stunning (and not to mention long). I've seen some of your work on Brickshelf, but had no idea that your story surrounding them and your universe could be so deep and realistic. As a fellow dragon builder I am dazzled and impressed by your building techniques, so simple and yet smashing good. I also particularly like your working weapons that shoot projectiles and nets. Brings back memories good the ole Lego sets... I hope to see more of your work.

Watch out the vikings are coming!
Stormbringer replied to Ecclesiastes's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
The vikings didn't have lunch boxes back then, so they brought with them bacon and porkchops! Hehehe... Btw great work on the ship. Those guys sure look fierce. -
Ok, I know it's been a week since I've posted it on Mocpages about a week ago but I didn't have the time then. Chapter Two is a flashback from Daniel's past and experiences during the last parts of the Crusade. Because the chapter is long (I'm not kidding about that), I will post just some of the images onto here. The full story is on Mocpages. Careful though, this part of the tale will be quite gory and violent, but well worth it. Enjoy! The year is 1347, around the time when England has become a super-power (though the history is slightly off becasue there were no crusades around this time). Daniel is in ambush with his fellow companions in some castle ruins near the city of Antioch. A large Turkish army is moving northwards to reinforce their main army near Antioch, before they begin to besiege the city. It is Daniel's task to stop them at all costs. Not to spoil too much, but in this chapter there will be much fighting, bloodshed, and glory... In other places there is peace, drama, and the horrors of war.. Go to the full MOC on mocpages - http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/276702 Thank you for viewing!

Nope, no LED light. I made the roof completely out of 1x2 trans-dark blue bricks, then added the normal light which made the room the color what it is here.

I'm creating a new series called The Plague, which will be taking place in the Dark Ages (but not historically accurate, if you know what I mean). The story will be focusing on a Knight returning home from the Crusades longing for peace. But after facing the horrors of war what he will find instead will only spread that fear, and will eventually destroy him. Because this story is so long I won't post it all here (the moderators would probably kill me if I did upload all the photos onto this site), I'll post just a few of the images. Go to the link on Mocpages for the full experience. The main character is Daniel, a veteran knight who is returning home after 2 years of serving in the Crusade. But unlike his firends, he has had enough of war and wants to go back to his family in Caen. His ship is overcome by a terrible storm that appeared out of knowhere, risking the lives of the crew and Daniel. But instead of worring about the storm, Daniel is oblivious and continues to think back to the war and is haunted by his past. After the ship crashes into the rocks along the coast, Daniel washes a shore as the only surviver. Thankfully he is alive, but the crew wasn't so lucky. Where he ended up is unknown. Looking for answers, Daniel struggles to free himself from the rocks. Daniel discovers a rugged path, and ventures forward. Hopefully he can find someone where he can seek the answers of where he is. But what he'll find on the other side will be unexpected and appauling, for there is an evil lurking about in his once peaceful home in THE PLAGUE. That's the best I can do without making this story seem too long. Go to the full MOC on mocpages - http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/275373

Why do you collect the Collectible Minifigures?
Stormbringer replied to thegurumb's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I collect them not for the figures themselves (for example, collecting the hockey players for a small game vig), but for their unique part usages, or thinking outside of the box if you know what I mean. -
Are you OK? The moc is good and all, but I'm guessing your in a down mood.
-
Over the course of 6 months, or in other words my whole summer Thanks alot! Yes, the film really captivated and inspired me to build dragons. I built these guys to be accurate and faithful to the movie.
-
What? How is he fat? He's the same size as the other minifigs.
-
Sweet battle!! Totally action packed. I particularly like how you've made the katana's stab through the enemy's chest and the use of the hockey player's armor padding (that's what it is, right?).
-
I've noticed that too on a couple of Indy faces (light and dark beards). Maybe he came to life and got a shave?

The Unexpected Treasure
Stormbringer replied to Stormbringer's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
They're cherries that are bunched together to look like guts. Yummy! -
That bridge is sure a treat to look at, including the coming fight between warriors. Can't wait for more of your impressive builds!
-
OK, I can do that. I'll start with the Night Fury first.

[Review] 6918-1: Blacksmith Attack
Stormbringer replied to evilempire22's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Only ten bucks? Awesome, I'll get three of these! -
This is some serious stuff! The house, plus the billowing smoke are really highly detailed. Not to mention that stork. Great work here.
