Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
PRbrickbuilder replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
LEGO usually featured new/obscure characters in DC/Batman sets in a nice way, imho. The sets were mainstream (because Batman), but there were little pieces of comic lore for the collectors. You can't say to me that Squirrel girl is more obscure than Brother Eye (maybe equally obscure). But I think all the movie sets plus the gimmicky sets predate the possibility of comic sets... -

Built the TIE Fighter 75300. What a nice build! I never had a TIE ship, the end result is great, and the model is quite heavy for the size! I might transform it in a TIE Striker in the future. -

The cave definitely feels like a wasted opportunity. It is not a terrible set, but at $400 the quality bar is too high, so anything less than perfection feels like a big disappointment. A comic cave would have more color (the Trex and the coin) and more desirable (and colorful) minifigs. As a result, the shadowbox concept would look better. -

I am finally watching Andor, and the show is superb! It is a shame there is only one set, and the Andor fig does not look that much like Andor, imho. Where is B2EMO, Mon Mothma and Dedra, Lego? -

It is a neat minifig, and a not highly desirable one, so it is a win for me. I wish LEGO made more Iron Man comic armors, there is so many good ones (like the armor from the guardians run, and the gold and black, which was never adapted in the MCU). -

This is the wildest and funniest Lego leak I can recall! UCS Venator and a Gunship are great news for PT fans, and LEGO really is giving more and more arm printings to SW figs (now for Ahsoka and Sabine)! -

That's an unexpected lineup, I gotta admit. No What if? figs and three X-men?! I hope Lucky is included with Kate, and that Echo costume is good. -

It is a bit disappointing the Batcave is not going the Bugle route, so we're not getting obscure Batfamily characters. Let's hope now it follows the Sanctum route, with half figs based on Burton verse and half based on Flash. The lineup could be: - Bruce, Batman, Alfred, Catwoman, Penguin, Flash 1, Supergirl/Flash 2 (one in the Batmobile set and the other fig here, I'm not sure which one which), Zod and a spoiler character from Flash (if you know, you know). The Batmobile set would have Batman, Flash 1 and Flash 2/Supergirl. I also expect the Bat boat and the Duck boat , with a big sewer build in the Batcave. That would be a superb move, adding Robin, Two-face and the Batcycle to the Batcave. But I agree it is unlikely. -

Ashnflash said that too, and I agree with you both. Maybe the Winter soldier suit? If comics are on the table, the werewolf Cap would be a good variant. -

The figs are stellar for me, but I agree with the sentiments that it is just another big gray build and that it could be smaller in order to be cheaper (by $35 the droid was feasible with the same functionalities). Also: the pirate snubfighter, the crab droid, and the N-1 microfighter all have the same gray color scheme... -

The true is that there's a plethora of characters and designs which deserve a minifig and LEGO has already skipped. Which shows how Marvel just put too much content, and Disney Plus series deserve more sets. For instance, I would like a minifig of Zemo in FatWS, which is way far in the past now. I think What If even deserves a CMF on its own, because there is just too much cool designs, like Infinity Ultron. Imagine a Mandarin figure with an accurate face print and with arm printing depicting the ten rings! A new character like Kahhori is also a good inclusion. -

One of the new Jurassic Park sets has 512 pieces for $80, with a molded Brachio, and it manages to be a better deal than The The Marvels set , which has 420 pieces for $90. Odd! -

- The use of the same head of two different characters is bad. Regarding the ship, gray is a not so exciting choice. My mind was believing the ship was dark blue with bits of white, but after seeing the clip on YT it is actually gray with some red markings, oh well. Repainted headpiece for Vane is great, and the set is a bit overpriced. Might get it on discount. - N-1 is better than the Razor crest MF, I'll admit. Grogu is great, but the price is very very overpriced. Let's see if this because of Grogu or because of a generalized price hike. -

Vane's face could have a better expression. It looks a bit bland for his character. The yellow suit/helmet combo is great! -
What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?
PRbrickbuilder replied to KimT's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I bought the Boba Fett Starship Microfighter, mainly for the fig, since my Slave 1 MOC was missing a pilot. A good little ship, with even a canopy piece, but it has already been dismantled, and its parts have served for greater goods (like a Quinjet MOC). -

The Bugle figure selection was divided between non-exclusive heroes (4), non-exclusive villains (6), exclusive obscure/mature characters (5) and civilians made from existing parts (10). I can definitely see the Batcave delivering about that in the three first groups and not so much on the last one, which I do not think is that necessary. If I were to guess: - Batman, Robin (Damian), Batgirl (Barbara), Nightwing and Red Hood; -Penguin, Riddler, Joker, Harley, Catwoman and Mr Freeze; - 2 more batsuits, Red Robin, Signal, Azrael, Orphan, Hush, Black Mask and Phantasm; - Bruce Wayne, Alfred, Luke Fox, Selina and Andrea. -

The Bugle had several regular sets near to it in order to release the minifigures. I hope that something similar happens to the Batcave in future, reigniting the theme.
