  1. So, I've been thinking about potential Dinosaurs in this wave. Assuming the leak is true, as it stands we've got Pteranodon (75926), two raptor-likes (75927, 75928), and a Tyrannosaurus (75929), and frankly, even if it's bull, those are probably what we're getting. I'm curious as to what the fifth set would contain. Judging by the numbering 75930 will be the Indominus Rex Breakout counterpart. I'm running a few guesses: 1. The Leak misidentified a Carnotaurus as a Tyrannosaurus, and 75929 features a Carnotaurus, while the Rex gets the big flagship set. Certainly a mistake that could have been made, potentially low res image, Carnotaurus figure would have a similar colour palette to the old rex, if you don't know your dinosaurs (and don't know that Carnotaurus is in the movie) that's a mistake that could be made. 2. The Leak correctly identified the 75929 Dinosaur as Tyrannosaurus, and 75930 will feature a Mosasaurus. Excepting some big twist that's been hidden, the only dinosaurs in Fallen Kingdom that could take the flagship set in terms of scale and character are Tyrannosaurus and Mosasaurus. There's only one Rex and it probably won't appear in multiple sets, and an actionized transport ship wouldn't be a bad flagship set from a marketing perspective. There's also the possibility of the Juniors sets, or a potential D2C/Retailer exclusive set. I think Stygimoloch might get in, either as a coelophysis style single piece, or another variation on the raptor mould.
  2. A Mosasaurus is much more likely than a sauropod in my eyes. I'd say if Jurassic World gets a second 2018 wave or a 2019 wave, a Mosasaurus would probably be included. Of course LEGO probably won't make another wave until the next film, and I don't know why. These sets sell like hotcakes, at least at the store I go to. Kids like dinosaurs, People like dinosaurs, these things sell. EDIT: I just realized I forgot to explain my rationale for Mosasaurus being likely in a second wave. I think the reason, or part of the reason, the dinosaur selection in these lines is so standard is because LEGO releases them so far apart. As it stands there have been intervals of three years, between Dinosaur set releases. LEGO never has space to add unconventional choices because the conventional choices a lot of kids want are long out of production and stock.
  3. The thing about Smaug is that there wasn't really anything competing for space with him. It's not like Smaug was a minor dragon compared to a few other, smaller dragons with more important roles. Brachiosaurus and Mosasaurus are competing for space against Tyrannosaurus, a creature lego already has moulds for. Smaug's also got a lot less mass than Brachiosaurus or Mosasaurus, and can be represented accurately with smaller moulds. That being said, I would adore a UCS Visitors Center with a Brachiosaurus.
  4. The thing about Mosasaurus and Sauropods is that the moulds required would be quite large, and unless LEGO gives Jurassic Park an UCS set, I doubt they'll put a mould like those out. Especially considering that LEGO seems to be avoiding herbivores, even ones they have moulds for, so I doubt we'll see a Sauropod.
  5. The thing is, a set of medium sized carnivore moulds would be a very useful piece for this and future dinosaur lines, and might even be useful for the Spoilersaurus
  6. Disney now controls even more of the film industry, leading us closer and closer towards a corporate monopoly of the Films Industry! Such a great future ahead of us!
  7. So some of the Jurassic World mattel toys have leaked. Not a huge fan to be honest, but it does get me curious about some things. There are a lot of new Theropods in this movie, Baryonyx, Allosaurus, Carnotaurus. Part of the reason I don't think we got any full new dinosaurs with the last wave was that excepting the Mosasaurus (which might have been too big) there weren't any new carnivores for LEGO to put in sets, and as we've learned, LEGO thinks kids only want to buy Carnivores. But now we've got three potential mid-size carnivores for lego to make. Do we think Lego is going to make at least one of them into a set? They could probably re-use the same base moulds (torso, legs, tail) for all three and only change the heads and the arms.
  8. Honestly, I don't mind the Raptors not being scaled properly. Makes them more viable for the Dino-Riders MOCs I like to do.
  9. It's certainly a safe bet.
  10. Well, it looks like they've crammed in at least 3 medium sized theropods that probably could have been combined into 1. Probably won't be good for the movie, but it might be good for us. I'm personally thinking the Baryonyx is the most likely for a lego set, but I wouldn't be averse to a Carnotaurus.
  11. The Indoraptor will probably be made in a similar way to the original Indominus, just using the raptor as a base instead of the tyrannosaurus. If the one that appears in the film is too large for the raptor moulds, it'll probably wind up sharing with Baryonyx.
  12. Baryonyx seems like it could be done on a similar scale to the Triceratops, which makes it a decently safe bet for a set in my eyes. A Baryonyx mould would also be really practical, because depending on how they do it they could easily repurpose it for any mid-size theropod body, with swapping out the skull and the arms as needed, which could get us things like Carnotaurus or Ceratosaurus. Indoraptor only really needs a new head and a modification of either the Raptor mould or a hypothetical Baryonyx mould depending on it's size. I'm hoping that maybe the juniors sets will have a unique mold, or that they'll make a second wave for Fallen Kingdom, but I doubt it.
