OoC: I guess this kinda became a sorta battle mechanics thing. I'll make a PM for all the battles so it doesn't clog up this topic.

"Well, I wouldn't say expert. I guess we'll start with defense. There are different types of defense," Johon explains. "For example, if I bring my weapon down like this:" Johon shows what he means by swinging his staff downward, the main blocking motion would be horizontal and outwards. This for example is completely different from a lunge. If I lunged my weapon toward you, you could deflect it or dodge it." Johon shows what he means by acting it out. OoC: I'm gonna make some pictures to show what I mean, in the meantime I think you get the gist of these moves. Hopefully we can get into a small battle that uses different moves using defense and offense. "Let's practice these moves." Johon says, preparing to fight.

Johon glances at the note, and decides to wait to see if there are any other quests. "I think I'll wait for now, It sounds like they are wanting newer heroes. I might join, if no other quests come up or something along those lines. Just a second, I'll be right back." Johon walks over the the tarp and lifts up part of it, walks in, and comes back out a minute later carrying a toolkit and some wooden staffs. Passing each member a staff, he continues with the training. "Perhaps we should start by gauging your current melee skills, so that we can see what to practice?"

Johon is surprised to see Romulus so soon. Only a few minutes had passed of small talk when Johon realized Romulus had arrived. He must have taken more time doing tricks than he had thought. "Hello Romulus, You haven't really missed much, other than the ride on the dragon of course. So what skills should we touch on first? The most useful would be agility, melee, and hand-to-hand combat. Using those 3 skills will give the fighter that applies them a great advantage in battle."

OoC: Are you talking about what is going on or RP, or possibly something else? Anyways, I'll move this on, if Kintobor has any more RP for this scene, just specify. Ethelim lands by the home, covered with tarps for protection from the rain. Johon remembered how unfinished his home was, for he had been preoccupied with quests and sorts. "It's a bit of a mess for now, but I should have it completed sometime in the near-by future." Johon notices Romulus isn't at the home yet, but didn't expect him to be. "What should we practice first?"

...Way back when "There isn't much need to waste a potion, you can head over to the infirmary at the arena. They can fix more than a potion anyways." ...and just a little bit ago "Sure thing, but you're missing out on an opportunity of a lifetime, at least for a while." Johon says and quickly sketched a map of where to go. "I'll guess we'll see you there."

'My name is Ethelim, it has been a long time since I have been able to talk to anyone else. Mainly just Johon and the stable workers here.' When everyone was ready to go, Johon led the dragon out to a clearing in the streets and told everyone to get on. He went through the basics of riding the dragon, how to hold on and lean side-to-side, and other rudimentary skills. When everyone was ready, the group got on the dragon and headed out. Johon flew the dragon through Eubric and towards his home. OoC: I'll leave room here for any RP

What's the quest about?

OoC: Just RPing while I wait to see if Romulus or Nessa have any immediate RPing. Johon noticed Karie seemed troubled about something. "What's wrong?"

"A dragon, it can't fight, but it can fly. I found it a while back, but I don't want to risk it's life in battle. I've been keeping it here for now."

Johon shakes hands with Nessa, then acquaints her with Romulus and himself. "This is Romulus, I'm Johon. Nice meeting you. What's your name? Ok, I guess we should head out now." Johon recalls Karie saying 'a few hours'. "Less than an hour the way we'll be traveling." The group stares at Johon confused. "Here, I'll show you what I mean." Johon leads them to a stable near the hall. Entering in the room they hear a wide range of animal noises, ranging from horses to monkeys, to birds. Johon whistles, and completely unexpected animal swoops down from the ceiling. Image "This was how we are getting there."

"Should we head over to my house? It's outside of Eubric, a few miles away. There's a lake near-by, trees, not many buildings though..."

"I was thinking of hand-to-hand combat, or melee, where we could use staffs. Also agility. I'm open to any other ideas also." Johon, mimicking Romulus, says "Oh, invaluable means really valuable, not not valuable."

OoC: TheBoyWonder, there's no way that Romulus could know who the raider is, he may have suspected who Hybros was though. "You don't need to tell her that, she's figured it out already. Not everyone is like you that needs hints like that."

"Well, that's better than nothing, but you should probably get a bandage over it." Johon pauses, then considers an idea he was thinking of. "Would you want me to teach you some fighting techniques? It seems that some practuce could you give you the advantage when people like them gang up on you..."

"It's ok, some people here over-react, but stealing among innocents isn't a noble thing to do." Johon looks back at Karie's legs. "Are you sure those cuts are ok? Leg infections can be serious..."

As Karie approaches and does some trading with Docken, Johon notices Karie's legs cut. When she is done trading, Johon asks her about it. "What happened to your legs?" Johon then realizes he hasn't even introduced himself. "Sorry for my intrusiveness, My name is Johon, and I hear your name is Karie Alderflask, correct? Nice meeting you.", nudging Docken for his mispronunciation.

Has there been an image of Romulus in human form?

"Seriously? I'm not even on Romulus's side and I know he could take you down. So far it doesn't seem like you've even had a worthy cause. Just a bunch of phony stories."

Johon shoves the monk back, who was still rummaging through his stuff. "Back off. Most people would have you kicked out of the hall for that behavior, you've no right to call yourself a hero. As about the man with an eye-patch, I just got back so I don't know if you are just acting funny or what. Just back off."

"Most people don't like snooping and no, I'm not interested."

Johon notices the monk snooping in his belongings. "I thought you were a monk, not a pick-pocket."

I'm just wondering if Tea_Drinker is 12. I'm not against that or anything, he should just know there may be some age-inappropriate material, mostly commentary though... in other words some things related to what many kids in middle schools say. let me in! Infinite gold!

Family trees could also be helpful, and for shops, a list of their previous sets of wares.

Johon sees the new hero enter the hall. It had been quite a long time since he had seen any new heroes, and decided to introduce himself. "Hello, Cam, I believe I heard you say?" Johon shakes hands with the (small?) rogue. "Nice to meet you, it has been a while since we have seen any new heroes in the hall."
