  1. Same give me an Inferi Cave, pull the plug, bring back Indiana Jones for a couple of years, I’ll be a happy camper.
  2. If this year is any indication of the general direction of the amount of traditional playsets with only 6 playsets, then we will probably get just a remake of the 2018 wave with maybe a set from the later movies if we are lucky (Looking at you Inferi Cave, East Wing had our first bloody minifigure since 2008 and a hanging petrified cat, no reason you aren’t too macabre now). Another playscale Hogwarts Express, Aragog, Hagrid’s Hut all seem like shoe ins. Overdue for a Quidditch Pitch even if the last one didn’t sell that well. Maybe a smaller Hogwarts add on like the 2018 Whomping Willow set. Or even a playscale Burrow since the Collector’s Edition one is retiring end of year. And thats pretty much it. I do hope I’m wrong and they sneak in some more later book sets that we haven’t got yet to keep those of us who aren’t buying in yet another Hogwarts system interested. But even then the options are slimming. I’d imagine Lego doesn’t want to do the Deathly Hallows tent to keep the Doe Patronus exclusive to the East Wing so we won’t see that till after the East Wing retires next year. Could def see remakes of the Goblet of Fire Tasks it’s going to be 8 years since the last First and Third Tasks. There’s stuff like Shell Cottage and Godrics Hollows but those seem like long shots. Idk the future of the theme seems a bit like we scrapping the bottom of the barrel?
  3. The 2018 system is a great castle system and is imo the best bang for your buck system. I especially liked their focus on Goblet of Fire through Half Blood Prince. So if it’s anything like that system, it’s a great gateway to get people into the theme. Personally won’t be getting myself, I think despite the Most Detailed Hogwarts being short an Astronomy Tower, I’m still more than happy with what we got and don’t think there’s much more a future Hogwarts system could do to get me to buy another.
  4. Ngl I kinda wish it was her Wizengamot robes, we’ve had three Umbridge variants since the reboot and I would have liked a more unique look of hers here.
  5. Yea that makes sense, it would be hard to differentiate between movie and tv show based Great Hall especially if they use the old Hogwarts exterior in the TV show to the casual eye.
  6. I have come bearing bad news… Two 2027 Lego Harry Potter set names have leaked. Dobby Meets Harry and First Year at Hogwarts. First Year at Hogwarts is said to be yet another Philosopher’s Stone Great Hall at $110 based on the movie, oddly enough not the TV Show. RIP the Most Detailed Hogwarts System, you were a true beauty.
  7. Ty! Yea I don’t know how you and others have the sheer will power to wait for Back to Hogwarts but I respect it, I wish I had that restraint. Enjoy the Main Tower, sets a beast make sure you got plenty of room for it!
  8. I think my favorite part of the new Basilisk and Fawkes molds is that with a little effort you can have Fawkes standing on top of the Basilisk’s head so you can have Fawkes blinding out the Basilisk’s eyes! https://ibb.co/rfm1WmCv
  9. So disappointing, really should have have been our chance to get Umbridge’s Office if the Most Detailed Hogwarts line is truly finished. But I guess it’s good that I can put this off till Double Points if it ends up being good.
  10. Yea that makes sense, it’s not a very plausible idea in hindsight. I personally have displayed a condensed version of the most essential parts of the castle and not the complete layout. I skipped the standalone parts like the Owlery and the Flying Lesson since they don’t connect anywhere and the Boathouse cause it takes up more depth than I have available. As much as I love the Hospital Wing, I might have to skip it due to a lack of depth that I have at my disposal. I’m trying to find ways to fit it but it would likely hang off my drawer that I currently have the layout displayed on. So the sets I have displayed presently are the Great Hall, Main Tower, Potions replacing Hufflepuff Common Room, Charms in the place of that Portrait Room, and the Dueling Club in the Great Hall. The Viaduct Entrance will be a welcome inclusion cause I have more than enough room for it length wise.
  11. I was thinking about this the other day, what if we get let’s say the summer flag ship set is the Viaduct Entrance and then the D2C could be an Astronomy Tower? The options for D2C Harry Potter sets are getting rather slim at this point that I see Lego actually feasibly attempting to do, so maybe with the Astronomy Tower being the largest portion of the castle it deserves the D2C title and budget?
  12. The sets I’m personally predicting goes something like this: Hogwarts Viaduct Entrance: This one is the obvious one, likely centering around the Chamber of Secrets with Slytherin Common Room, Library, Girl’s Bathroom and the Chamber itself. My biggest question with this one is if it will include the Viaduct itself or it will be sold separately like the 2023 Battle of Hogwarts. Divinations Classroom: Given the formula of one big Hogwarts expansion in the Summer and at least one pull out classroom, this one feels pretty locked in especially with the new focus on Prisoner of Azkaban sets with the recent Privet Drive and Hospital Wing. Flourish & Blotts and Borgin & Burkes: New Diagon Alley expansions have become a staple since the smaller line started. Flourish & Blotts is the second to last main shop left from the D2C Diagon Alley to be made in this new form. And while Borgin & Burkes is technically in Knockturn Alley, it still plays a significant part in the books & movies to get its own set and pairs well with Flourish both being in the Chamber of Secrets. Whomping Willow: With the success of the botanicals , I’ve been pushing the narrative for a full blown buildable version of the tree with falling cherry blossom leaves for a while now and with a Chamber of Secrets/Prisoner of Azkaban wave both where it’s prominently featured it’s now or never and would be a cool way to differentiate it from the last two. First Task/Hungarian Horntail: With Lego’s deliberate going book by book or movie by movie with each wave since the 2024 reboot, covering every one of the iconic scenes, with this wave we would wrap up Chamber and Prisoner and begin with Goblet. The most obvious sets from Goblet are the three tasks, now that the Durmstrang Ship and Beauxbaton Carriage have been made in this line, so seeing Lego make a more beefy Hungarian Horntail in line to the Iron Belly in the Gringotts set to perch on the Main Tower would be great. Maybe include parts of the arena too. I also picked this one cause it’s been the only task that has been made twice since the 2018 reboot so it’s the most likely to be made again. And it’s not too recent like the Second Task.
  13. The quickest way for me to get me to not buy a set is to include a Smart Brick in it, especially since they drastically compromise the design of sets. The new X Wing that leaked was not only the most ugly iteration but it’s the smallest and incredibly expensive. And the minifigs are are marked to the brim with copyright patents, for any gain in functionality you get with a Smart Brick you lose tenfold value in every other department. Not to mention some of the useless side builds they include in these sets to further drive up the price. 2026 Star Wars looks dire and I hope Harry Potter doesn’t follow the same fate cause I’ve really enjoyed the last couple of years.
  14. Idk why but these lifestyle images in particular always hype me up for these sets, same with the Main Tower/Great Hall combo last year. Never reboot the Hogwarts System again Lego, just keep adding onto this.
  15. Hospital Wing pictures are out and ngl the set looks great! Love the Boggart cabinet build and the new hair piece for Lupin is perfection. Hospital Wing is a more fleshed out version of the 2021, 1 less bed but I do like the extra shelves where Pomfrey can fetch stuff for the students. Also dig the little book shelf before the common room. Connection is at the Devils Snare so now I’m officially worried about space for this bad boy but modern problems require modern solutions. Overall I really enjoy this set and this Hogwarts line is really proving to be absolute cinema, can’t wait to see what’s next.
