  1. Fair point, for some reason it just felt less likely in smaller set to me.
  2. Icons has a variety of sets from many different scales, there’s no reason to believe that from the information we have yet. It could end up being midi scale but all we know is that it’s coming at this point, anything else is speculation.
  3. I would say I think it’s best this way as we have gotten a full size AT-OT before, even if it’s crazy expensive secondhand now. Both vehicles have roughly the same amount of screen time so I’m not sure either of them really deserve a set more than the other. I also think Bacara should have a new helmet mold, which would only have a possibility of happening in a larger set, although we still have to wait and see if he gets that or if it’s just printing. Either way I’m just happy to have every ROTS clone commander!
  4. Well, it seems like the source of the MTT figure count was fake. It was a not well known Instagram account posting a few other rumors they already admitted were wrong, and they have now taken down the post.
  5. I think that would really explain the lack of standard minifigs in the set. I definitely get the feeling that at the very least the 11 droids won’t all be standard b1s. A tactical droid or some commandos would go a long way in making it feel like it has good value, and if they are mostly b2s that would as well. I’m really hoping we get at least one separatist general figure, but I would absolutely agree that if there’s only two regular minifigs I’d expect them to be the MTTs opposition.
  6. What’s the source for this? I’m not seeing it in any of the usual places
  7. The character absolutely is obscure, the fact he has dialogue doesn’t change that. This doesn’t mean that he has no chance of ever getting a figure, but I think it’s silly to assert that he’s a character that we should have gotten by now, or gotten before bly or bacara, which was what I was criticizing from the previous post.
  8. While everything else you listed is fair, we should be getting that stuff, but these are just as obscure as the clone stuff we are getting, it just doesn’t hit the clearly massive clone demand. Tion medon in particular is just splitting hairs of what obscure thing we should be getting.
  9. I think truly, the line is just hurting from the shrinking number of total playsets in a year. We used to have about 2-3 full waves of sets in a year and now it’s down to one. The distribution didn’t matter as much when we had more sets, and people were less likely to despair after one set got leaked (it still happened occasionally though lol). I think that 3 waves would be too much in a year without a new film, but the winter wave being almost nonexistent puts way too much pressure on people’s expectations of the summer, to the point where if it isn’t perfect to what you personally want, it feels like the theme is done forever.
  10. This year is also a Revenge of the Sith anniversary and most of the clone sets this year seem to be based on that film. I don't think they are just doubling down cause there wasn't any big ones last year. Now with that said, i'm still holding out hope there's at least one TFA playset this year as it's also that film's anniversary. The helmet and shuttle are a good start, but both are adult targeted. I do somewhat agree with this point. I think lego is making a bad call in largely shrinking the number of small Star Wars sets released every year, which I think is a point you have also repeatedly reiterated. We did get an OT based battle multipack last year though, and the OT has a lot less simple variety than clones do. I think most kids are happy with the clones being the main ones in battle packs though, which is why lego keeps making them. I know my entire generation was interested in them way more than OT battle packs (or at least the rebel trooper packs).
  11. I would like to once again point out that last year’s only clone sets were under $30 and one of them was based on the Mandalorian. There were also only 3. While yes, I do think this year is seemingly mostly clone sets, last year had almost none. There’s no reason to think that clones are all we will ever get from now on except for unsubstantiated speculation.
  12. It’s likely based on a season 2, or at least that’s what it seems like
  13. While I’m not necessarily excited about a rebuild the Galaxy set that absolutely sounds more plausible to me. That batch of 3 rumors just didn't sound real, and the lack of a listed specific trusted source makes me doubt their validity.
  14. They also only list “a brick tap member” as a source, not an established leaker
  15. It wasn’t a matte painting, it was a full massive model. If you look at pictures of ilms old model shop it’s often front and center
  16. I felt the same way about the last 5 years until I actually looked back at the number of clone sets released in each year. 2024 only had three clone focused sets, (barc speeder, rex microfighter, battle pack), and all were $30 or less. 2023 had six, but 2 were helmets and one was a UCS set. 2022 had 3, etcetera. I just think we need to wait and see what the rest of the wave is, because by my count we've only been getting about 3 clone focused sets each year in that era, and some of the ones I've been counting are also based on new shows like the barc speeder. This theme has always had it's sets that people complain about, it's just changed from Landspeeders and snowspeeders to clone content. I agree with your 2nd post mostly about the film focused years they used to do and wish they'd bring them back, I've just seen this pessimistic cycle a lot since I started frequenting this forum and try to keep perspective on how these trends shift over time. Note: I was just counting sets focused on clones, not clone wars sets as a whole, since you were talking about their overabundance in sets specifically.
  17. Yeah, but Lego Star Wars has always fluctuated in output, 2013 and 2014 were all attack of the clones and revenge of the Sith sets but that didn’t mean that was all Lego would ever make again. If 2025 does end up being clone heavy that doesn’t mean 2026 will be, I think some people are just being too pessimistic when we don’t even have a full set list or know if the UT-AT is even a locked in leak.
  18. I understand the sentiment people are feeling about the oversaturation of clones and I would agree, but I gotta say we didn’t get a large clone wars set this year, and 2025 is the revenge of the sith anniversary, so them celebrating that with a vehicle we’ve never gotten before with characters we’ve never gotten before is what I want to be seeing more of. Last year had a Star Destroyer and multiple other OT sets in addition to the rebuild the Galaxy stuff, and while I (and I think many others here) may think rebuild the Galaxy wasn’t great for the years makeup of sets, I think it’s silly to act like all we’ve gotten for multiple years in a row is clones, even if there is a lot of them.
  19. I’m so hyped, the UT-AT has been one of my most wanted sets
  20. Moff Jerjerrod lol Palpatine's silly advisors
  21. I think it’s a bit early to go full doomer when we are still missing most of the summer wave sets, but I understand and agree with the sentiment of thinking there’s not enough playsets. I’ve always been a fan of the play sets over the adult targeted stuff and it does feel overwhelming every time another one gets added to the lineup and replaces (or feels like it) one of the former play slots.
  22. hopefully they’ll include a clone wars separatist general then. Wat tambor was commanding them in the one episode they were a focus in (ryloth). It’s absolutely a stretch but it would be awesome
  23. Love that we’re getting another MTT. I was a big fan of the last one and am absolutely open to getting another. Definitely personally hope it’s still a brown one and not clone wars colors. Just not a fan of the blue and grey myself. I honestly don’t get why people hate the last one so much though it’s a great model.
  24. I think that this is somewhat due to clone wars ending early. It got cancelled during season 5, so 6 is shorter than intended, and they had story ideas for roughly 2 more seasons. I think that is why so many late war vehicles, like the ones you mentioned, end up missing from the show entirely, they just weren't to that point in the timeline yet.
  25. I think that there's more merit to them doing Jango's than people give credit. Lego has certainly seen how popular prequels sets are among younger AFOLs nowadays (as we can see from the abundance of clone sets in recent years), and with a previous Boba's Slave One existing, you might see a marginally larger number of people who want to own both variants since so many people think the Boba one was already perfect. I would still hesitate to say that Boba's wouldn't sell more, obviously the majority of Star Wars fans prefer the OT version, but I think there was good rational for picking Jango's.
