100% agree here. Especially since they started the smaller diorama line i'd rather just get more of those and a huge display set that couldn't be done another way.

I am so excited about the rumors of the Cad bane v Cobb Vanth set!!!!! I absolutely love the BoBF design for Cad Bane and was really hoping he'd come in a set someday. Very glad I never decided to spend the money on a custom one Otherwise not really interested in any of the other new rumors, but that's par for the course on january waves now

Well, according to brick tap the UT-AT is actually a clone turbo tank and the rebuild the galaxy set is a hot rod snowspeeder. Unfortunately it sounds pretty plausible, which sucks for me since I already have the 2010 clone turbo tank and don't really care for the vehicle enough to want another plus I really love the UT-AT design. At the very least we are getting bacara and the galactic marines at least.

According to brick tap the Death Star will in fact have 40 minifigures and 9019 pieces. Glad to hear another source reporting on it having a large number of figures. Star Wars needs to match other D2C sets in figure counts more when it makes sense.

Set images are out. Plos new head mold looks great! Glad they included an astromech head too, although I wish it had been his ROTS one. Not a deal breaker there though. 327th pack is absolutely not worth $40 Night trooper pack build is mid, but the figs look great and that's the important part

I get that the characters aren't that interesting, but how is no one else excited about the fact we are getting actual unique figures in a may the 4th GWP again. It may not be what you would have hoped for but at least it's moving in the right direction

I don't remember every hearing any rumors about that. I think it was just in the background of some promotional images but there was never anything about it actually being a part of upcoming set rumors

The AT-AT pilot helmet was cancelled two years ago and just released. We have so little info on cancelled sets I don't think we can really make any definitive statements on how long it takes a cancelled set to be reconsidered

people keep saying lavender but if you look at this image (lavender is on the right) it's honestly farther away than sand blue is. lilac or medium violet are the closest colors lego has ever produced, but they retired in 2007 and 2004 respectively.

I think the Hope dies arc was also a perfect in between of 4 and 5, creating a large event to kill off major rebels from rogue one and new hope that aren't in empire and send them searching for a new base was perfect. It felt like an event that must have happened for them to be where they are in empire, rather than something that probably should have been mentioned in a film or have galactic scale consequences.

Yeah I absolutely agree with that. A large part of what I liked about canon originally was that the books and comics they were releasing early on actually felt like they made sense in the timeline, rather than being way larger events than would be logical in between films. The original canon marvel star wars run was way better at that than the new run, which just feels like more of what I didn't like about the legends continuity.

I don't get why this fun fact about imperial troopers you discovered today is now a hard and fast rule you're upset about being broken. Up until the U wing picture everyone was complaining about the fact that we were only getting stormtroopers in that set instead of something more unique. I feel like in most peoples eyes night troopers are stormtroopers (Especially kids), and while you can't use them in as massive amounts as regular troopers they will still function the same and are a full army in Ahsoka. This really just feels like hair splitting

I know I absolutely do. I've wanted a lego version of the UT-AT ever since I first saw it in the revenge of the sith visual dictionary in elementary school.

Yeah i'm absolutely not paying full price for that battle pack. $30 was already pushing it, but 40 and still only 4 minifigs is not worth it.

They've released the millennium falcon 3 times and an AT-AT twice but that's it

I'm not a huge Mandr fan, but I find it strange how often people in this thread blame him and other youtubers they dislike as the reason Lego Star Wars is going in a direction they don't like. I know if I was a designer I would probably push to make sets I would personally want to get, which would most likely be stuff I grew up with, not just whatever a youtuber is saying. It just happens that Mandr and others like him in the space are in the same generation of kids that grew up with the prequel trilogy and clone wars, just like up and coming lego designers would be.

I think it's likely due to the fact they just debuted the trailer 4 days before the superbowl. They likely wanted to show off the movie at the superbowl but wanted a little more focus on just JW then it airing at the same time as many other trailers, thus the trailer dropping a few days early
