  1. Thank you all very much :) @Svendp No, I don't. But I'll see if I find the time to make one or two. I only have one other built modular house here (detective's office) and it's very dusty ;)
  2. Thanks a lot :) @Merlict I think Anton's neighbour did a great job. He painted the lower wall in the colour of his trousers :)
  3. Last year, when the bookshop was not yet known (at least for me), I assumed that TLG would completely switch to younger modular houses in the style of the Diner and the Corner Garage. As e.g. my mother only collects modular houses in the style of the old Art Nouveau buildings, I thought about how her and comparable collections should grow further. That was the moment as I decided to build a modular house out of the parts of the Old Fishing Store. This is not only one of the biggest projects I built so far, it also was the first time that I started a project in order to make instructions and provide them to a wider audience. And... I definitely underestimated the work ;) It is much more difficult to build a good b-model than I thought. And it is much more difficult to create (in my opinion) good building instructions for a project this size. It was quite a challenge to use as many of the original 2000 parts as possible in a somehow creative way ;) In the end I managed to use 1995 of the 2033 parts (without minifigures) of the original set. I hope you like it :) For those who are interested, building instructions can be found here: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-40048/ Old Fishing Store - Alternative Build by Versteinert, auf Flickr Old Fishing Store - Alternative Build by Versteinert, auf Flickr Old Fishing Store - Alternative Build by Versteinert, auf Flickr
  4. @Hammerstein NWC @Thomas_w Thank you :)
  5. Thank you all, I'm glad you like it :) @ramofont @AmperZand Wasserträger by Versteinert, auf Flickr Doppelkopfoger by Versteinert, auf Flickr Hope you can see the construction of the ogre. My explanation wasn't right. In an earlier version I used two rod 1L with clip to attach the heads, in this final version I used the plate, modified with clip.
  6. First thank you all :) @AmperZand Actually I first built the figures with yellow heads. But due to a discussion in another forum, I changed them to light nougat ;) @Hobbythom @MAB @Kai NRG Main part in the ogre (no orc! ;) ) is a black sausage with three bar 1L with clip fixed to it. One positioned in the middle with the rod pointing down (connecting to the stomach and lower body), the two others positioned next to it as near as possible pointing up (heads attached to them). To each end of the sausage there is one arm attached. To the left leg (the one that isn't bent) of the bucket carrier there is a plate, round 1x1 with handle (25893), attached. This holds a droid arm, which again holds the droid arm you can see above the figures shoulders. @Kai NRG Yes, the bucket carrier needs a bit more training. Best for these arms would have been if I at least had stuck a cut rigid to the hands. But as I am a purist I couldn't do this ;) @Frike I'd love if Lego would produce something like the armour from BrickWarriors. I would buy it instantly. My ogre isn't as fragile as it might seem. Only problem are the short sausage ends that hold the arms, so they can easy fall off. @UsernameMDM This was the reason I began building this figbarf ;)
  7. This is my first Figbarf. Hope you like it. This started when I thought of how a Falcon Knight would look like if Lego would produce it now with now available figure parts and accesories. Once I started building, I thought of making a figbarf with only classic Castle figures. For me these are especially Falcon- and Lion-Knights, since these were the ones I played with when I was a child. Since I somewhere read that a figbarf has to contain at least five minifigs, I had to add some further characters. So I extended my two-figure-classic-castle-not-figbarf with some figures that could be settled in fantasy era, to not deviate too far from my original idea. No custom parts or cut rigids, only original Lego parts. Castle / Fantasy Figbarf by Versteinert, auf Flickr
  8. At last I managed to also upload the pictures of the red Aedelsten. Besides the main colors this version differs to the original design just by two parts: The tile on the hood and the bracket at the rear end (dark grey instead of red). This version is a bit more simple then the white one since it features only regular wheels. At the other hand, this makes the car more stable, playable and it's much nearer to the original design that became grand prize winner on Lego Ideas. 9. @Minifigleaf, @Paperinik77pk, @Reaper, @SteamSewnEmpire, @imvanya Thank you :)
  10. Thank you both :)
  11. Thanks. The rims are old train tires and actually should be the white wall part of the white wall tires ;) I'm sorry, I didn't make any instructions for this moc.
  12. Thanks
  13. Some days ago I posted one of my entries for the GWP contest on Lego ideas, the "Chevy Advance inspired vintage truck". This car moc, the "Aedelsten deluxe", is one of my other two entries, again this time built in real bricks. Since the original colors of the digital contest entry (dark turquoise/white) aren't available, I changed them to white/medium azure. Additionally I changed the attachment of the wheels and tried a new technique for white wall tires - of course with only original Lego. As mentioned in my other post, the contest rules didn't allow third party IP. So this is no model of an existing 50s car, but of course it is inspired by some of them. 14. Thanks. Actually these aren't ice skates but axe blades and no, the steering is fake as usual ;) Thanks ...and thanks :)
  15. Probably some of you heard of the Lego Ideas "Vintage car" building contest. Originally, this moc was one of my entries, that I now managed to build in real bricks. For this model I was mainly inspired by the Chevy Advance, but as a participant of the contest I wasn't allowed to completely rebuild the truck. Since this was third person ID, it would have been against the rules. Hope you like it nevertheless ;) Chevy Advance inspired vintage truck by Versteinert, auf Flickr Chevy Advance inspired vintage truck by Versteinert, auf Flickr
  16. Thanks and thanks ;)
  17. Thanks. Yes, I think, these parts make the whole scene more messy and therefore more alive. Thanks :) Yes, it's a pitty. I watched these boats in Bork Havn at Ringkøbing Fjord late last year. They were (or possibly are) still in use. I had to chose between dark red and light blue, since they were the two colors in which all hull parts were available in the contest-palette. I don't know anymore why I chose dark red, but I did it deliberately ;) Depends on the size of the sharks head and on whether the shark should be able to damage the boat or not ;) Or do you mean the shark as by-catch in the net? Thank you all very much :)
  18. Thanks :)
  19. Thank you all. Perhaps I'll try to build a bigger version with a backpack or something ;) Unfortunately the body of Hagrid is too big ;)
  20. This was one of my entries for the bricklink AFOL designer program. It hasn't been chosen, so I thought I should show you what you missed ;) The pics with the green background show a slightly updated version, since nets, strings and chains weren't available in the contest palette. The other ones show the cotest version. The boat is mainly inspired by some boats I saw in a small harbour somewhere in denmark, but I'm quite sure that such boats are used nearly everywhere around the world. The roof of the cabin can be removed to position a minifigure in it. In this case, the door can also be removed to provide enough space for the minifigure. While planning/building it, I had the idea that potential buyers (if successful in the program) could perfectly complement the Old Fishing Store with this boat. 21. Thank you all very much :) Yes, spaghetti western was it what we called it too :)
  22. You may be right. Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are more a european thing. So either you are not from Europe or you are too young to know them ;) But, unfortunately, I can't change the description at Lego Ideas anymore ;) Bud Spencer and Terence Hill were two very famous action (comedy) and western movie actors in the 70s and 80s. Since they gained this cult factor, many of my generation (I'm born in 1980) watched the movies with their parents too. This way they also became cult in my generation. But if I nowadays ask some kids for example of the age 20, probably only very few would know them.
  23. It took a while from the beginning to finishing this moc. Various little things have delayed the "release", until now. Three days ago the project has been approved at LEGO Ideas and I don't want to withhold it to you. I had the idea at some point in the beginning/middle of 2017 and started planning on LDD, but soon got some problems that caused me to lay it down until the beginning of 2018. I think it was the release of the 1x1 plate round with rod 1l in the beginning of 2018 that let me resume the project and offered me the constructive possibilities to finish the buggy satisfactorily. Time problems, other projects and last but not least my late decision to use individually printed parts for the project (thanks to Superbrickbrothers) led to further delays. Originally, the whole project was meant to be only digital. I'm glad I changed my mind about that ;) I hope you like it :) To support the project at LEGO Ideas, please follow this link. 24. Thanks. Actually I built this chair some time ago and just added it for this picture.
