Well I take a break from here for a while and all hell fire rains down. Easy logic here folks, as noted before I said based, there were pirates and they did not only exist in the Caribbean Seas-Fact. POTC is fantasy based on history. POTC is a licensed LEGO theme. Now here's the real reach...was there a factual one ring to rule them all in human history? Were there factual hobbits, goblins, wraiths, elves (some people believe so), trolls, etc? These were all created by Tolkien in his mind, some of which could have been allegories to episodes in human history or what may have been occurring at the time he wrote the novels. Rant off. Carry on.

POTC was based on historical events not fictional events as that in The Hobbit and LOTR.

Why hasn't this whole discussion been moved to Licensed Themes yet?

Talk about nitpicking, everyone here knows what I'm talking about. As far as Queen Amidala goes I bet Lego has something up their sleeve. Just think how all the Super Hero fans were surprised with The Funhouse. The more regal looking mold we saw pics of will probably be in something more grand than the sub. Just noticed on the left side of Jabba's Palace it looks like another Han in carbonite.

Loving the prelim pics for the winter wave. As far as prelim pics go I like having them for any sets and then compare to final images. Interesting to see the evolution. 2012 will definitely be the end of the world since I will no longer have any money due to SW, LOTR, Dino, and misc City sets I want...oh yeah Super Heros too! Damnit! I for one am very happy with what I see in the Palace. I don't have the original and welcome this version. Even from the prelim pics it is better than this 2011's Hoth. What I'm most surprised with is lack of discussion here about Boushh . After reading so many threads about SW Lego and numerous mentions of wanting this character only a couple people have mentioned her. I can't wait! Looks like an awesome time for all fans of Lego. Now all we need is Grogall to provide his minions with better res prelims so we can all drool for 6 months. We don't even have 2011/2012 Winter release yet

I have that gap too! I hate it and hope someone finds a solution. Seems to simple to be causing the gap.

I too just picked up this set on sale at Target for $65. Same price they had it for on black friday only now you don't have to wait in line the night before.

Green for the forest theme would have been great! I don't see the ADU scientist moonlighting in the pics. Not sure if anyone here has seen this helo MOC but it is pretty damn cool. Great review on a set I already want, now I want it more. What is the deal with the pieces in the middle? Is it a must for structural integrity? If it weren't there longer vehicles or more than one might fit inside. I'm guessing this thing is as wide as the AC mobile defense hq. I'm sure other vehicles could fit inside.

Fantastic! I've been throwing this idea around in my head ever since I got the AC Mobile Defense set. I also picked up two of the jet copters for the idea during a bogo sale and a second mobile defense for the project but haven't started it yet. Yours looks awesome and with a little yellow in there would fit right in with the AC line. Any pics of the rotor workings inside?

Went to a B&M TRU tonight and no Batman. I didn't expect to see any though. They did have just about all the 2012 sets to date-city, dino, etc

OMG!!! I don't usually check out the train section but I am loving the hangars and old art deco airport. This stuff holds a special place with me as I was stationed at MCAS El Toro which was right next to MCAS Tustin which is what those blimp hangars are modeled after and are at to this day. The art deco airport reminds me of Long Beach airport and also similar to the pictures I've seen of various other historical airports, some of which are gone forever. How long is this exhibit on for?

I was in a local LEGO store last week and they had all the dino sets other than the small airplane set.

Maybe one day that will be my project if I reach the level of building you possess.

Yeah I can't get over your MOCs. Superb! Can you post a pic of the bottom of the Osprey with the gear up and down? How do you do some of your cockpit glass designs? They seem rounded and I can't picture what pieces you use-LEGO? Seriously you could sell your designs/directions for the aircraft you do. What scale are your aircraft in relation to minifigs?
