  1. Happy Birthday Kiel! Wish you a wonderful day with your loved ones
  2. Very nice creation, TazManiac! The set is neat and the bonsai itself is cleverly designed
  3. Hello all, I'd like to get your feedback on my entry for the MOC Madness 2 contest on FBTB Bounty Hunter - Cra'Zed: Son to a wealthy spices' merchant, Cra'Zed lost everything when the CIS army destroyed his home city to test a new weapon. His family dead, his father's wealth gone, his planet doomed, Cra'Zed decided to 'switch-off': it was futile to go mad to avoid going mad! He started traveling the Galaxy and taking risks other would not. Soon, he became known as one of the most dangerous adventurers around. To sustain himself and his new friend and aid, Quitranl, he took up the bounty hunting job. Unfortunately, he does not always remember to keep his preys alive... LaughBox_000a di LuxorV, su Flickr Ship - The Laugh Box: Once a bank transport, this ship is equiped with the best sensors array money can get, heavy weapons and near the fastest engines in the Galaxy. Cra'Zed made some special modifications to it, including hidden weapons and a cryo-chamber to host his preys. Weapons: - 2 plasma cannons and 2 laser cannons on a swivel mount on the nose - 4 forward point-defense laser cannons (2 on each side of the cockpit) - 2 plasma turrets (one per wing mounted on sliding platforms) - 6 laser cannons (3 per wing tip) - 8 torpedo launchers (hidden in the nacelles) - 2 binary backward point-defense laser cannons (hidden in the landing gear) Engines: - Two XXL thrusters with hyperdrive capabilities - a fusion core for weapons needs only (those plasma turrets can suck quite a bit of power, you know). LaughBox_000b di LuxorV, su Flickr Prisoner compartment - A detachable cryo-chamber to host the bounties. It goes well for both live and dead ones! 4. I think this answers your question
  5. Thanks Oky As for Kit's, being him amphibian, that of life-guard seemed like an appropriate job for him; and since he did not want/desire to be in the High Council, I'm implying he preferred to be a life-guard to sitting in the High Council
  6. I'm sorry, but: means it has to be a new alien figure from your imagination, living in your own fictional world.
  7. Happy Birthday UB! Wish you a great day with your loved ones and lots of LEGO, of course
  8. Great new ones lately Here are a couple from me:
  9. By 'existing' we mean at current time. Please do not base your figs on possible future evolutions of current nations. I'm sure you'll find plenty of ideas if you think about it or just browse a travel agency site
  10. Don't worry too much about it. As long as it's the lance overhanging, there is no issue.
  11. I agree with you to some extent. Knight and horse were one unit in the jousting part of the tournament, but champions used to get down and do a sword(/other weapon of choice) fight when neither could dis-mount the other in 3 runs, to finish off a draw, or as a second/final stage in more bloody contests (depending on the rules). On the other hand, the horse is not required here (being these contests about minifig customisation), but it is taken into consideration if used. As a matter of fact, the first pic in every post is/should be the vignette shot, and that is what will be displayed in the voting thread As for the fact that the front, back and side shots are required to show the minifig alone, that's to allow a better view of the custom work on it, without parts of it being hidden by the head of the horse or the saddle, for example.
  12. As the rules say: Thanks for asking anyway
  13. As tournaments weren't restricted to jousting only, yes, he can have a lance, a sword, a mace, a battle-axe; just make sure it's a proper weapon for the Middle Ages. We do not want to see a Tournament Champion with a plasma rifle, right? No he doesn't. As I said before: His/her mount is for the vignette only, if you want to include it there. Yes, non-customised figures can be incuded into the vignette, which is meant to show how your custom figures mixes with normal LEGO elements, so figs too.
  14. The aim of Category one is to portray an aspect of a current Nation, so I'd say (historical) national legends should be part of a different(future?) category.
  15. This is one of my favourite episodes from CW, and you effectively captured many moments of it Hope you won't give up the idea to make Grievous' pet, once you'll have the right parts
  16. - Comic megablocks expert! [I got this new one for correcting our dear Ambassador CopMike in saying Wonder Woman is a DC character and not Marvel. He then pointed out I was being a smartass. I Scream Clone (I suppose), did the rest]
  17. Cut and glue as much as you wish. This is all about customs, purist, modded or completly newly created ones. Custom bardings are allowed, as well as a brick built horse, as long as it is comparable in size to a standard horse. Keep in mind that Category 3 is about the minifig champion (thus the front, back and side pictures should show him/her alone on foot); his/her mount is for the vignette only.
  18. Very nice and clean-looking MOC, IcedCOffee I like the little details you used, and the overall alien, but also comfortable feel. Does the living area have an interior? EDIT - I see Scorpiox posted the same question while I was typing
  19. Another EB News episode, let's run away oh so good! It was interesting to know (and see? ) more about our Fellow Rick, so thanks to Shadows and Stauder for the interview and to Rick for taking the time to answer the questions.
  20. This is another very nice review of custom items from you WhiteFang. Thanks for sharing I'm really impressed by the quality and variety of designs this first wave from BrickWarriors has shown us. Great job, people!
  21. Great use of the CMF parts, Miss Kyle! The drum set is a very clever mix of parts which acheives great effect It's interesting to know it's based on your old band; if I may ask, what was its name?
  22. While something Aztec or Mayan would be very interesting, it could be an idea for next year (I noted it in my 'ideas for future contests' file ). This time, let's stick with contemporary Nations. Jousting Champion is what I meant, thus the link to the LEGO 10223 Kingdoms Joust
  23. Lovely MOC, Cecilie. I especially appreciate the use of the flowers for a true sakura feeling, and the Cavewoman head for the samurai (it's one of my favourite female LEGO heads so far). Those Ninja (I see 6 of them, btw; are there more?) ought to be careful, she does not look like someone who likes surpises Oh, and the frog, reminder of the Fabuland Edge, is another nice touch.
  24. I'd say yes, as in the Kingdoms line. I never liked the skellies and not much the trolls either. Personal feelings apart, we should stay with historical-like Tournament Champion figures.
