Well, I'm 26, and my parents used to buy me LEGO for Christmas and/or birthday till I was about 15, and my uncles gave me a few LEGO for present when I was about 10.
Then, I started buying it for myself, but it was a bad period for LEGO (1997-2000), and then I entered my dark ages.
When I came back to LEGO, I started buying sets for myself again, but didn't have parents or relatives give me money for them. They just gave me other presents. Now, since some bigger, and lovelier, sets are quite expencive for a student, in the last two years I've convinced my mother to buy me LEGO again. So now I get a set and then something else for birthday and Christmas.
The most troublesome thing is when my father decides to get me some set he has seen while travelling for his work: I have the almost total certainty I'll end up with some horrible sister brand set :-X .
Despite my efforts, he still has to learn the difference |-/
This is why I now order the sets on S@H, or buy them myself, and then give them to my parents so they can give them back to me as gifts *wacko* X-D
In conclusion, apart from my parents, no other relatives or friend buy me LEGO, since I'm to old for that, even if they appreciate my MOCs :-D .
