Great interview, with very complete answers *y* Thanks to TheBrickster for taking the time to answer so precisely :-) And thanks to imperialshadows and Stauder for their fantastic interviews. We really appreciate your work *y* Btw, I too would really like to see an interview with Batbrick ;-) LuxorV

Happy B-day, you two *sweet* LuxorV

Happy birthday, guys *y* *y* *y* May your day be full of LEGO and cakes! LuxorV

Hi all, it's time to get back to mecha building *y* Here is my first remake of an Exo-Force classic battle machine: the Ultimate Nova Pic is link to the gallery (when public :-$ ). I kept the general design, but gave it a better look, with more solid armour, better proportions for the weapons (solar staff in particoular), and a close cockpit. It was a 3(-ish) hours work :-$ . Comments and critics are welcome. Wait for more next weeks ;-) . LuxorV

Hello and Welcome, WhiteFang! I like your name; is it related to J.London 8-| ? LuxorV

Fantastic work here, Exobuilder *y* This is a great ATV, with those two switchable modes. I really *wub* a lot of things in its design: the cockpit (I hope you have a dispay in it, or is it a black out but transparent inside [is there a single word to say this 8-| ] glass?); the back cargo/troops holder; the superb turret. After this, I must say I had an initial doubt about the wheels: they seemed too big and smooth for the off-road mode. Then I saw the street mode, and found they were perfect for that. Looking better to the off-road, I now think they blend in good there, too *y* Too bad you already have a name for it (and a good one, too :-P ), 'cause, as phred said, it remainds me of this beast: Slug Runner ON *y* LuxorV

I don't think them to be real sets. Just search Brickset and you'll see what the actual sets by those first 2 numbers look like ;-) : 6714 6776 6749 (not found :-| ) 6785 (not found :-| ) 6758 (not found :-| ) 6742 (not found :-| ) I don't know for the last 4, but I would say they are MOCs all the same 8-| . Still, I'd buy most of them, if they were real *wub* LuxorV
-
Another nice interview, with one of our most impressive MOCers *y* But, didn't your show have to include a Hinckley reference in every issue 8-| ? ;-) LuxorV
-
You really have to post the one interview I asked for the very day I get away for work? >:-( |-/ I was almost going to miss this at all 8-| Ok, back on track. Great interview, and very detailed tour of the lair. You have a fantastic collection, Mr.Mandalorian *y* On a side note, I wonder who it could possibly be at the phone 8-| :-D Keep them coming *y* LuxorV
-
Oh, well, I couldn't find the Flux Capacitor's original Corel file, so I had to skip that one 8-| Thanks for your feedback :-$ LuxorV
-
Sorry for taking this long to post, but I just came back from the field work yesterday evening :-$ I'm glad you like it, phred. Fell free to use it ;-) LuxorV

Very nice vig, Exobuilder *y* It is a neat expression of our feelings for this sad news on EF's end. We'll miss you Exo-Force :'-) LuxorV
-
Yes, a new episode *y* *wub* *sweet* I love all of the confusion, mental disorder and love triangles you can put in it *wacko* Poor Chief Brody, though :'-( Can't wait for the next one. LuxorV

Thanks for your advice :-$ . You can find the PNG versions of my previous works in this thread ;-) . And thanks for the thanks :-D . I like to produce these decals, 'cause it's a nice way to learn more about the programs I use for my work, but in a more creative way *sweet* . LuxorV
-
I'm following imperialshadows' advice, and making PNG, better graphics versions of my old decals. Here you can find all of the requested decals I have done till now (at least, all those for which I could find the original Corel file :-$ ), in PNG version: Aayla Secura Halo Marine in Green Halo Marine in Dark-Green Halo Marine in Grey Halo Marine in Dark-Grey (new color version) Han Solo (Hinckley's torso) IBM PC (monitor on 2x2 tile) IBM PC (monitor on a block of 2 3x2 bricks) Master Chief in Dark-Green Master Chief in Red Master Chief in Green Mad Hatter Mad Hatter V.2 Disk Run (2x2 tile) I gathered them all in this new topic because it would have been simplier for me to do so, and for others to notice the new versions ;-) . Future works will be uploaded in PNG format only *sad* . LuxorV
-
Try this: It's for block of 2 3x2 bricks one upon the other. The simple 3x2 brick format is too compressed vertically :-/ . LuxorV
-
Ok :-) If you find the time, you could read it. I found it quite intersesting as the others by the same author. End of our book advices [the antivirus is slowing down the PC, and dinner is almost ready :-P ]. LuxorV
-
I had a feeling this would have happened |-/ :-D Thanks, Hinckley. As I said, I'll try a more buggy-ish look soon *sweet* . Btw, did you read the book? You know, that 'good interpretation of you subject matter' phrase makes me wonder. LuxorV

Neat military vehicles, Batbrick *y* , but... I can't see the mech X-D ;-) I like the big one the most, but that's just because I'm not used to the style of the little APC :-$ . Just one thing about the APC: aren't those passengers a bit too pressed together in there 8-| ? They seem so very much like this: Just kidding X-D KUTGW (I wonder who will post here to explain this again, now *wacko* ). LuxorV

Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive Booster Ring
LuxorV replied to Erdbeereis's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think it is indeed worth buying. But I'm a bit crazy about colored tiny starships, and the big booster ring is just fantastic to me :-$ . LuxorV -
Thanks, Asuka. I bet it is a good gun, its design is is taken from this ;-) Thank you for the precise comments, imperialshadows. I really like it when people can find the time to comment on ones creations in this way (to my real shame [Queen quote], I rarely do so :-| ). I like the Rebel battlepack's gun turret, too. But I didn't get inspiration from that. If you look at the real pic, you'll see the turret is probably the only thing I totally copied from it :-D . The base isn't that solid at all, being built of 2 Panel 1 x 2 x 2 with a plate on top. It is indeed a bit too heavy, for a swift buggy, but it's just my first try, so I still have to refine my techniques with this kind of vehicles :-$ . As for the physics of such different front and back tires, ever seen one of these: ;-) X-D I'll try to modify it as soon as I'll be back from the field (two weeks from now, I think). Wait for more :-) . LuxorV

Best of 2006 Supernova (it was *wub* at first sight) Best of 2007 Golden Guardian (mightiest [but it would be even better with hands *sad* ]) Best of 2008 Hybrid Rescue Tank (I hate those ball joints for the mecha's arms |-/ ) Best year 2006 (best overall sets, IMO) Thanks to Matn for the superb layout for the answer :-D ;-) LuxorV
-
Try this ;-) LuxorV

The monitor is for a 2x2 plate (it should be a white plate, because, due to proportions, it is a bit smaller than a plate, and I gave it a white background), and the case is for a 2x4 (grey) brick: Let me know if it is ok for you. In case, I can try and make the monitor of the size of a 3x2 brick/plate 8-| LuxorV
