  1. yeah and buying 8 buckets to just paint them would be a pricey customize
  2. [pid][/pid] 131C Dear members, I have been looking at pirate sets to get some inspiration for the Eastern Pirate Theme. When I looked trough my collection of lego manuals I found the manual of King Kahuka's Throne. Then I saw this smaller pirate Row/Sail-boat and thought it would be fun to make an Eastern Pirate variant. I had a couple of these Ninja-glider wings and thought I could make a cool Eastern looking bamboo sail with three of these glider wings. So I'm here to present you: The Eastern style Pirate Row/Sail-boat Inspired by the old lego pirate set : Comments are welcome ofcourse! Greetz Bjornu
  3. [pid][/pid] 4A Dear members, Actually I was building on my Eastern Pirate MOC but then I came across Kurigan's Custom Swivel post. After watching his design I came up with a Swivel that's able to move up and down and looks pretty Decent IMO. Too bad there is only one piece that's off the color scheme but painting it black would do! Here he is: The Bucket-swivel Feel free to use this design but a proper credit would be great! I Do agree this prototype worked out very well. I was thinking about your system and made up an idea to make it move! Maybe you can make a sort of system just like the Lego Bucket. On the bucket there are two small studs that have to be placed in the holes in the handle. Imagine: gluing your Swivel/handle on the bucket-handle and put two smaller studs on your swivel. Then it's able to go up and down! I've posted my Lego design in another thread. You can check it out HERE Hope it helped you. Greetz Bjornu

Looks great! I have only one comment on it: Try to make the hinges next time so you can move it up and down. Would be great! Greetz Bjornu
  6. Looks good. I like the Idea for a custom "base plate" where you can pose some minifigs on. It's a good way to put a small display in your room. Greetz Bjornu
  7. You could attach 2 smaller ones to make one larger or attach 4 together to make a Catamaran? Greetz Bjornu
  8. The quality and style indeed looks like a Battlepack from TLC. A well placed Blogg IMO Greetz Bjornu
  9. I'm looking forward to see all the process in this MOC! Great project Horry! Greetz Bjornu

It looks great indeed. I just liked how the builder also thought about the surroundings(the coconut). Great MOC and it should not be forgotten that fast, therefore I think a blog is well placed Greetz Bjornu
  11. I like the idea of these rafts! Tough isn't it a lot easier to just carry the rifles instead of mounting them on the ship ? greetz Bjornu
  12. The design, it looks so natural and so perfect. It´s a beautiful vessel, a feast for the eyes. Greetz Bjornu
  13. Indeed, I was also watching the movies Red Cliff for some inspirations on the Fortresses
  14. I got this set for my birthday from my girlfriend. When I had torn the wrapping paper I had the same feeling as when I was a little child. I'm an AFOL now, but STILL have the same feeling when you get a new set with this huge amount of playability. I hope my children ( once I have children) will have the same feeling when I'm buying sets for their birthday Greetz Bjornu
  15. Now the scene of the knights that say Ni appears in my mind again Great Vignette, I love this scene! Greetz Bjornu
  16. All these designs are really great! Maybe a New thread could be made for this: Low Budget-good looking trees ? Greetz Bjornu
  17. I think Stacking many green plates would make a nice large hill. You could also try to make just a very colorful hill of all colors you have before ordering the exact pieces. When you´re done you can count each piece and buy them at Bricklink or something ;) Well, thats how I would do it...
  18. That is true indeed about all these MOCs. But what I want to focus on is moving the Eastern Pirates to the Lego-Caribbean instead of building the big Fortresses like the ones in Japan. By the way, I would like to use the term "Eastern" instead of Chinese, Japanese or Korean. By picking one faction only, I believe I'm limiting myself. Therefore I call them the Eastern faction, a clash of bandits/militia/deserters from all over Lego-Asia that found their new Lord and are now trying to find their own luck in the "new world". Taking their home technologies/architecture to the "new world" and mixing these up with the European; Bluecoat, Redcoat, Armada and Pirate technologies and Architectures. By adapting to their new surroundings they may become strong foes I hope this is something you guys will like/ find interesting Greetz Bjornu
  19. I thank you for the Blogspot. I hope the Classic-Pirate members will like the upcoming Easter pirates MOCs. Unfortunately I have to add something to your statement "It's refreshing to see some Eastern Pirates sailing these waters." They may be sailing the seas for now, but soon....soon... they will land and establish bases, colonies and fortresses on the Blue-coat/Red-coat territories Greetz Bjornu
  20. It´s like you have read my mind and where doing the same like me. Like you, I only bought the $5 set that included the black ninja and some grey knives. My opinion about the Ninjago theme is: TLC rather wants to teach children the ninja's were fighting skeletons in: tanks, motors and other rare vehicles than learning the children that the Ninja's and Samurais really existed just like our European knights. By adding: Muskets, pistols and cannons they showed the stereotype Ninja and Samurai didn't only use Katanas, Bows and Spears. They rather make sci-fi popular sets than giving a child the ability to fantasize about history. Because I had a great time as a child fantasizing and mixing up these sets I want to do this again. Therefor I started last month with the Eastern Pirate Theme. I hope the MOCs will be in the favor of the Classic-pirate members Greetz Bjornu
  21. Too bad I don't have these... As a Child I only wanted the Red ones, So I only have the red ones now But thanks for the Suggestion! If you have any more suggestions, Please post them here Greetz Bjornu
  22. Dear members, I would like to ask for your suggestions and ideas. Recently I posted my first Eastern Pirate MOC the Pirate Junk Because I want to do some more MOCs with this theme,I'm asking you guys to post some ideas or suggestions in this thread. (if you have any ideas ) Some Information about the pirates: -The Eastern Pirates come from all over Lego-Asia (don't want one specific country) -They use both Flintlock and Matchlock rifles, more Matchlock instead of Flintlock. (due to traditions) -They used many technologies to build seagoing vessels that are able to reach both red and blue- coat territories. -The Eastern pirates, are labeled as pirates because they are hostile against: European pirates, red coats and blue coats. -They are loyal to one "Samurai lord" but can be part as a group under the command of one higher rank "Samurai lord" -They use captured European cannons and "homemade" Eastern Cannons/Mortars ( can also be seen in this post -They use materials from their home country and materials from the country where they are at that moment ( so they are able to use Bamboo but also Palmtree ) My preferences about the theme: -Specializing on the Rifle Infantry/Pirates more than fancy Katana ninja's or heavy armored samurai armies. -Ninja's will appear in my MOCs but only as Assassins or special scout/guards -I want to create: Land MOCS, Sea MOCS, A combination between the previous points and maybe some Vignettes. EDIT: I don't have any Blue Samurai theme minifigs, So only the red ones will appear! ( It's good Sebeus reminded me of this!) If you got any suggestions or Ideas? Please don't hesitate to comment! I Thank everyone for reading the post and dropping a comment Greetz Bjornu
  23. I'll let my lego crew drink a proper cup of tea on your achievement Mr. Cam ! Greetz Bjornu
  24. Thats true Tiberix, the sails are painted with patches on purpose. Only Red sails wasn't looking spectacular IMO. At first I wanted to paint the Bull logo on the sails but after I drew some logo's I didn't succeed. So I drew some patches and painted them on the sails. You'll probably will see more Eastern Pirate MOCs from me once I have some good ideas again. I'm going to start an suggestion thread soon, so maybe you can do some suggestions ? Greetz Bjornu
  25. Well, I can´t tell you how much a MOC cost but I can give you a tip... MOCs can be expensive once you buy all your bricks new/second hand. What I do is: -Make a MOC -Take Pictures -Make a back-up of the pictures on a USB stick and online ( brickshelf) -Take the MOC apart -Re use the pieces again this way you can keep building MOCs without having to buy bricks for every MOC. Greetz Bjornu PS: I spent over thousands of euros for my lego sets and bricks
