Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Marinho replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Small question, if anyone can answer. I did my first order today, but I cannot see the parts i ordered. Is this normal? Only possible to see when they arrive? :) -
Hi all! Small question... I am thinking to buy a second set to mod, as I would like to have an "original" one to display, and one to have fun and run on the tracks. On the pictures I see from the real thing, all the parts that Lego did in DBG, seem to be all black! So did Lego did in purpose in order for the details to "come out" a bit more, or was this original grey and then later repainted to black?
-
Thanks @LEGO Train 12 Volts Thanks @koalayummies! I'm glad you didn't mind that I posted my version. Also really glad that I didn't disappointed the original designer.
-
I was actually talking with some friends over it yesterday, and we all reach one conclusion of why we didn't bought it day one like the Gingerbread House... No GWP was what made us wait for something like Double Points or another GWP that has nothing to do with WV theme. But I will get it for sure before Christmas.
-
Thanks @Brandon Pea and @Ragana9289. I would say it look much better than the original, but I would say that if Lego had come up with this instead of the original one, it would be way to expensive with the amount of parts it has... Anyway, the credit has to go all to @koalayummies, he was the "original" designer.
-
Thanks @LennyRhys The diagonal wall came out of a need actually, otherwise in order to fit so many detail I would need another 16x32, and also because I wanted to try something else than the "square" building type. The walls were easy, but actually the roof section gave me a bit of trouble to come up with.
-
@JintaiZ, here all works fine, can you maybe try again? Thanks @Legocitycustoms, it turned out quite nice, but thanks to the "original" mod done by @koalayummies

Thanks @Legocitycustoms

Hi all, I was storing my mocs today, as I almost have no space for them anymore, and I realized I never posted this one. Before presenting my MOD, I need to say that I was heavily inspired by @koalayummies original MOD to this set. I picked up this set because I saw a lot of potential, and looked really cool, but as soon as I saw his MOD i decided that that was the way to go as I loved his design. Here is the link to the original design made by him: Original Design So I did a couple mods on the truck, it's shorter and I add some detail inside the cabin, and in the trailer i did also a couple of changes. Regarding the helicopter, I tried to base it in the original, as I wanted to use the more original parts as possible, in order to lower the cost of building it. So here are the picks, hope you guys like it: 20200923_131833 by Pedro Marinho, no Flickr 20200923_131907 by Pedro Marinho, no Flickr 20200923_131922 by Pedro Marinho, no Flickr 20200923_131943 by Pedro Marinho, no Flickr 20200923_132044 by Pedro Marinho, no Flickr 20200923_132128 by Pedro Marinho, no Flickr 20200923_132157 by Pedro Marinho, no Flickr 20200923_132222 by Pedro Marinho, no Flickr 20200923_132229 by Pedro Marinho, no Flickr

LEGO City 2020 - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
Marinho replied to Digger of Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
I bought mine in Smyths Toys in Switzerland. -
Had a couple of small mistakes over the years, but all of them sorted! To be honest, I don't even check if it is correct when the orders arrive anymore... I only check if I see immediately that something big or a lot of pieces are missing.
-
Thanks! I like the result, the roof of the dome car could be a bit better if they made some parts in the colors I needed. Yes, I don't understand also... I don't even think it would be a big impact in the price of the set. Can be because they don't want to do "dummy" doors. You mean the cargo carriage? Might be a nice project to add to this train, I guess the motor can pull one more car... Actually it was one of the cars i looked to for the inspiration. I think it looks really cool. Nop, they are just for the looks. I don't think it would justify the time an effort to make them open.

Hi all, Here is my latest attempt at putting doors in a train. :) Hope you guys like it, it works quite good with only one motor. Thanks @Nightfall! In my case, I used something like this: https://swooshable.com/snot/technic-plates Thanks @Artifex! The stickers help a lot, they give life to the interior.
-
Thanks @peedeejay! I loved that set as soon as I saw it. It has already a lot of cool details, like the pump that I barely changed from the original one. Thanks @LegoDW! I still don't own Corner Garage. but I guess that if I had a city, the people would be happy with my Service Station. Thanks again @pooda! Thanks @Littleworlds! Actually I got the inspiration for the interior, from a station that I stopped every weekend when I was traveling from Nuremberg to Zurich. Thanks @deraven! It was not easy for me to take the pictures. Have an awesome camera, but my photography skills.... Thanks @lightningtiger! Thanks @gotoAndLego! You have a good point there... I might change that if I ever build a city and add this build there. Thanks @Agent 86! I thinks it was worth the time I spend adding all the details. The few stickers also help a lot. Thanks @Man with a hat! Actually after I finish building it, it started to remind me of a pizzeria with all those tiles. But I thinks it looks good and represents the Octan scheme perfectly.
-
Thanks @HereWeGoAgain! Well, it took me one year, between design, part order and building. Not so easy to play with Lego with a 11 month daughter... Thanks @MAB . It was a pain to tile the floor, but I think it turned out good. WiFi signal is a sticker from set 853921, those pack's come with really nice stickers. Thanks @pooda! I bought the set and tried to use most of the parts I already had, but had to order a bunch of them. Nowadays, I just try to spend more money building MOC's then buying set's to build and then to store in a box due to having no space to display them. Thanks @GeoBrick!
-
Hi all! I present you my most recent MOC, a Service station! I got inspired to build it, after I bought set 60132, it felt somehow incomplete to me. It uses a 32x32 baseplate, pluas 32x16. I think it turned out good, had to use some "illegal" connections in order to do the double sign, but I thinks it was worthy! It is also the First MOC, that I noticed that there are some connections that we can do in LDD, that are not possible with the real bricks. Sorry for the light and space for the photos, but it was the best spot I could manage for now. Hope you guys like it! Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Marinho replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Thanks for the tip, will order it today! -
For me works fine also, did 3 orders this last two days. I remember I had some issue like this when I first started buying at bricklink, and I think it was browser related, but I'm not 100% sure!
-
It might be nice in those colors. What I tried to do was use the most parts I already had, and avoid going on bricklink to order more. Thanks! The carriage idea came because I had two 45411 in Trans-Black, and I wanted to use them. Long story short, I had a very hard week, and was so tired that I end up throwing them on the trash bin with other stuff... So had to end up going on bricklink and buy to more.

Hi all, I would like to share my first attempt in the trains area. This "mod" came from the idea that I had to create some doors o this train. I started working on the doors mod and just end up modding all the train, and creating a double deck car. It's not in any way at the level of this forum, but it might inspire someone like me (with less experience in trains) to start. Sorry for the photo quality, I have an awesome camera, a small light box, but I still need to learn a lot! Hope you like it! Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
Marinho replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
How are you guys manage to search for the bricks you want? Just search by set number? I tried it but searching by part, and most of the times I get nothing available... -
Normal shipping. It was the first time I used the credit card on their website, but I just choose to pay by invoice and it worked. Probably it will take more time, but it will arrive.
-
Just ordered mine! But I had a problem with the credit card, and could't reach Lego customer service to fix it... Guess the line is very busy!
