  1. I have never ordered any on-line, so I'm sorry I don't know any shops for you. In addition, living in the US, I don't know any sites outside the US. The green sabered fig is Luke from Return of the Jedi. I just placed him within the Empire collection because of the black clothing.
  2. Yes, many of the arms move, and some have removable items (like helmets). Most or all of the guns and hand-held items are molded as part of the figs. They are available at most stores that carry regular SW figs in the same aisle. They come out in "waves" just like the regular SW figs, but usually only around 4-5 sets are available per wave. Each set/box contains two figs. There are store exclusives sets that come out periodically from Target, Toys R Us, and Walmart. These sets are collections of figs (like the Jabba's Palace collection with around 8-12 figs in one set). I find that a number of figs are very hard to find and go quickly in stores (just like regular SW figs). I've seen them on Ebay before and some comic book stores for a hefty price. They also make a few ships and larger creatures. It's a fun collection.
  3. Check this out. It's an expanded Legoredo fort. I just found it on Brickshelf: Just a few images in the folder: Legoredo Folder on Brickshelf I think the overall MOC looks great and this is definately the largest WW fort that I've seen.
  4. I could not see this thread being closed before I share some images of my SW Galactic Hero collection. These are on a small shelf but not the complete collection with ships and other figs I never opened: The backdrops are attached to the back of the shelf and made from printed images on photo paper. The Empire Jedi collection: Hoth Battle: Tatooine Desert: Anakin & Friends: Bounty Hunters: Han with Carbonite: Jaba and Others: Jaba's Palace & Yoda: Battledroids: Speeders: Troopers: Again, this is not the complete collection but those that I chose to open and display. The figs are mixed a bit, but a nice collection of SW figs. I like Galactic Heroes as they are fun and don't have accessories that are easy to loose. These figs are esp. nice for smaller children.
  5. Nice job KD. I always wanted to see a small Union outpost as part of the official Legorado Line-up. I esp. like the interior of this MOC. Looks good *y* .
  6. Interesting MOC FT. I really like the ghoulish bandits. Reminds me of a comic book I recently looked at called Grave Slinger. I'd like to see more of your MOCs in the future.
  7. It appears that Maj.com is not currently active. Here's the same photos uploaded to Brickshelf:
  8. Pretty clever. I'm always amazed at the level of creativity with stuff like this.
  9. UPDATE! It appears that this MOC has been completed and new images have been posted here: Large Indy Diorama on Maj.com
  10. Excellent review of an outstanding set! I love the main image. I want this set so bad!
  11. I was surprised to discover that during my visit to Legoland CA, a few days ago, the Lost Kingdom Ride is not an Indy ride, but rather Johny Thunder. In addition, I was expecting something more along the line of the image advertised by Legoland (being an outdoor ride), but the ride was much different than the poster. Instead, the Lost Kingdom was something more like a combination of a Disney kiddie ride and something you'd find in a carnival house. The ride was still nice, esp. for younger children, and allowed one to shoot at the various targets along the way. A score in the vehicle displayed as you make several hits (or misses in my case). Here is the link to the .mpg (Warning! this file is 167.7 K, so it takes a while to download). Lost Kingdom Ride Now sit back and enjoy the ride.
  12. I visited Legoland California on Thursday (3/27/08) and wanted to share some images of the new kingdom, Land of Adventure. The Land of Adventure is a fairly small area between Knights' Kingdom and the Aquazone area (for those of you familiar with Legoland Cal). As the gate opened at 10:00 AM, everyone raced to the new ride, Lost Kingdom Adventure. I plan to post a separate clip of the ride itself. Here's some images of the wonderful designs/scenes within the Land of Adventure. But first, here's a poster I saw somewhere in the park depicting the new ride: And inside the Land of Adventure, a friendly camel and rider greets those wanting to take a picture: Here's an emplorer next to a small airplane ride for the kiddies: Standing high into the sky, is the building of the Lost Kingdom ride: And my most favorite of the Legoland scuplures, the Pharaoh who guards the Lost Kingdom: Another image of the entire statue: The Land of Adventure is a wonderful addition to the park, although I think it needs to be expanded. I was disappointed that no exclusive or Indiana picture frame sets were available in the gift shop. In addition, this was the only place in the park where one could buy Indy sets (not even available in the Big Store). As I said above, I plan to share a Sneak Peek of the Lost Kingdom ride for those of you who are curious. Hope you enjoy the pictures.
  13. Good game, but it was complex without instructions and clues to really tell us what we needed to do. Otherwise, it was fun. I did have two suspicions that were correct. I suspected someone would try to kill me early in the game (being a young attractive bar maid and all), and that Piranha was a slimy fish. I knew it! In any case, good game everyone.
  14. Late 1800s, give or take about 12 years. That's close enough for Western Mafia work. X-D Plus, it will take me a year or two to get to Europe by paddle wheel (sight seeing and all). OK, just play along now...
  15. :-X Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh! :-X Vote "Username_Taken". Might as well shoot for the last Townie? or is that me? In any case, I gave you bunch of outlaws enough chances to finish me off. Anywho, I was planning a cruise to Europe, and if I make it on time, I can come back on the new White Star Line ship for its maiden voyage from Belfast. *sweet*
  16. A desperate Molly takes a glass from behind the bar and fills it with lantern fluid. She holds up the glass stating, "Here's looking at you", and gulps it down. :-X *skull* *skull* *skull*
  17. That'll teach those TOWNIES! Molly walks toward the old mill and hoists up a huge anvil the size of a piano :-| (thank goodness for pully mechanisms and an arm muscle she calls her Mississippi soup bone :-$ ). She steps under the anvil, says a brief prayer, then lets go of the rope. CLANK! The anvil lands atop her head smashing poor Molly into the ground. *skull*
  18. Thank you all for the feedback. I've updated the first photo to show additional foliage from my recent pick-a-brick order. The entire scene is looking "more full" with the additional greenery. I had a thought and wanted to run the idea past those of you who have been checking out this WIP. I was thinking about adding a black steam engine (from the MOT collection), and a green passenger car or two, as a jungle adventure train. Because it would take some rework of the tabletop jungle, I'm not sure if I want to add the train or not. What are your thoughts?
  19. What a creative idea. Sort of a steam punk/castle MOC, with a Penguin/Baron at the helm. I love the details, esp the wheel pieces in the back. What set is the hull from? Is that custom paint, or from one of the police boats?
  20. Thanks fellas. It's not that good, but thanks. With the piece selection contained in the set, it's hard to build anything that looks good (at least for me). Also, I saw some mini trains that someone built, either on EB or Brickshelf, but I can't seem to find them. If any of you have the link, would you please share. Thanks.
  21. Very clever. I like the sleeping man. The Indy hats really look good as worn cowboy hats. It's really refreshing to see others building WW MOCs and vignettes. Good job *y* .
  22. Hop aboard the best little Lego Creator set as 4837 Mini Trains makes it's way from the Toy Store Station to Miniland. Choo Choo! Lego Creator 4837 Mini Trains 73 pieces $4.99 USD Starting with the typical Creator mini box, the green immediatelt catches your eyes: Turning the box over is another shot of this fine little mini-engine: What a great way to spend 5-10 minutes resulting in my favorite mini set: Excellent detail, the front end: And another view: The set contains 4 of the dark green sloped 1x1s: And I was surprised to find both connector pieces, one in the back, and the other used for the steering mechanism inside the cabin. What good would a train be without the ability to add additional cars: Another side view: The smoke stack attaches with a 1x1 hook piece; very clever: I was also surprised to discover that the wheels used allow the train to run on tracks, two-studs apart: Had to break out my tracks from the Dwarves Mine to build some rails: Black antena pieces make a nice addition adding to the detail of the wheel system: As a fan of old-time steam engines, I didn't build the other two alternate models (instructions included): Lastly, I had to pick up an addition set to build some matching rolling stock, although my own MOC isn't too good. The only additional pieces are the alternate black wheel pieces. The small grey wheels look a little bit too small for a good car: Well, our Stean Engine has arrived in Miniland for a thirsty drink of water. I must say that this model is a great little creator set that is a lot of fun building. I couldn't wait to add some track and roll it along, choo'ing all the way. If you've got a few bucks to spare, I would highly recommend purchasing this mini set. I only hope Lego offers a few more cars to add on to it. I would swoop them up in a heart beat. This one gets *y* *y* up!
  23. What a great little scene. I love the way the fire poors out. Great level of detail. Equally nice are the custom shields, esp. the crusaders shied. Overall, excellent work. *y*
  24. They were neat little sets, and I never saw them anywhere except a local dollar store. Perhaps I'll share some images of the other sets.
  25. It is a great MOC though.
