Fantastic Beasts 2018 - Speculation & Future Set Discussion
MatthewRC replied to Ookami's topic in LEGO Licensed
@Falconfan1414 Are we getting these themes for real or are you just guessing something? -
Guys, y'all might want to read this article on The Brick Fan! https://www.thebrickfan.com/disney-finalizes-deal-to-acquire-21st-century-fox/
-
What I'm trying to say is Disney's acquisition of Fox may revitalize LEGO The Simpsons if Disney is interested.
-
Guys, there may be hope. I heard Disney is about to acquire 21st Century Fox, which includes Fox's Marvel Comics properties, the original Star Wars Episode IV film, and The Simpsons! Since LEGO is already partners with Disney, we could hopefully get more LEGO The Simpsons sets and more!
-
For the franchise's 20th Anniversary, I wouldn't mind if LEGO made sets based on the Classic Powerpuff Girls 1998 cartoon! We need 1998 variants of Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup!

@CopMike A week has passed since this thread was made. When will we get to see the new online LDD Gallery? -
@just2good Is it true that only two sets are planned for LEGO The Powerpuff Girls? I was hoping for more than that, but we'll see next summer.
-
Rats! A LEGO The Simpsons standalone video game would've suited me.
-
I hope not! I don't want The Simpsons to go to Mega Construx just like Futurama. Maybe if, and only if, Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox Movies and TV happens, we might see more LEGO The Simpsons! Disney is great business partners with The LEGO Group nowadays.

I'm pretty sure they would have to update LDD. The "Send to LEGO.com" button is currently deactivated and has been that way for a long time. I'm pretty sure an LDD update is coming fairly soon, but to function with the new online LDD Gallery. -

I hope this means LDD will get more parts added when the new gallery is released! -

Well, at least The LEGO Group is working on a new LDD feature. When is this supposed to come out? -
If LEGO ever makes a Professor Utonium minifigure, should he have the long minifigure legs used for Woody and Jessie from the Toy Story theme in 2010? The same should apply to the villain HIM.
-
I hope a LEGO Cartoon Network theme happens if the PPG theme is a success, although it would require LEGO to make more licensing deals with Cartoon Network.
-
I’d love to see more LEGO Cartoon Network themes, especially Classic CN shows like Ed, Edd n Eddy and Courage the Cowardly Dog!
-
I don’t think Him will affect the LEGO policy since there was that Series 16 child minifigure dressed up as a devil you mentioned, plus Him also made an appearance in LEGO Dimensions. Therefore, a Him minifigure is a possibility.
-
That was because LEGO started a test between SpongeBob SquarePants and Avatar: The Last Airbender, and the former was successful enough to spawn more sets. There may be more PPG sets than just those two.
-
I am so excited for these sets! I hope Adventure Time gets its own theme as long as Cartoon Network is open to making more AT merchandise after its series finale.
-
I have a feeling that the LEGO Scooby-Doo theme is currently on hiatus. Even though 2016 and 2017 each got a new direct-to-DVD movie, but no new sets, I believe LEGO still has the Scooby-Doo license. I hope 2018 will also give us a third LEGO Scooby-Doo DVD movie!

Calling all AFOLs! I just made a petition for everyone who loves using LEGO Digital Designer to sign my petition for LEGO to keep LDD alive and updated. No new parts have been added as of late, so please share my petition. Thank you. The Lego Group: Keep LEGO Digital Designer supported and up-to-date
