To be honest, I'm trying the same thing that Timothy Gould once did with his "ol' Britannia" rake: Every wagon / loco that I build has to have another colour. Its not working as well as planned, cause of the ammount of DB-verkerhsrot on the tracks nowadays. Plus I seem to have huge amounts of red bricks, so thats the reason the red eanos will get finished ;) Technically, its on top of it :P Haha, thanks. Cars are trains too! >5 will be horrible, but no3 might get build in grey! It has been some time since I last visited here, but when I visit, I do like to bring something with me. Therefore, I present you my first -completely finished- build in over a year, a Dutch good carriage of the National Railways (NS), type "eanos". Around 1988 200 of them were build for NS, and they were used to haul all kind of goods, from beetroots to coal to wood, and what not. NS eanos #1 by raised, on Flickr NS eanos #2 by raised, on Flickr Nowadays everything on the tracks in the Netherlands is colored red, but back in the days, as you can see, there were still some refreshing ideas about coloring. (The red version IS on it's way though, I'm just waiting for some red 2x2 tiles to get it finished as well).

I kind of remeber these little shunters from my last trip to Scandinavia, and as far as my memory goes, these ones are spot on! I love the decoupling mechanism, the line actuator is both simple and elegant. The only downside of the line actuator is ofcourse the fact that you cannot power your locomotive anymore, but this idea to fix this with a second shunter is in fact very clever. However, excuse me if I'm wrong, shouldn't the frame be a tad higher of the tracks? Maybe raise the distance between the wheels and the frame with 1 or 2 plates?

Thanks all you guys for the kind words! Haha, yes, it took some time you can say :) Haha, thanks for that one! I must say the first 4 versions were far from this accurate. Its mostly to thank Lego for the Cheese grater and a clear evening when I realized to use them to tilt other stuff. I have one, but it's just very lame and not really based on any real prototype, therefore I only use it to check coupling. I'm planning on building an eanos"]Eanos open goods carriage in blue, I already have the parts, but I first wanted to finish this model. Also I would love to built some ICRm"]ICRm coaches for it, but they have a very nasty bend in the middle of the carriage for which I think I know a solution, but it will require a lot of bricks I first have to obtain. Also, I only have half of my Lego collection with me nowadays... When I return in Holland in 2 years maybe... Or when I get a ride from somebody from within to Eastern Bloc to transport me, cause taking it with me by plane is almost impossible :P

The NS 1847 is part of the series 1700-1800, the mainline electrics of the NS, the Dutch Railways. These electrics were based on the French series BB 7200, stylized by the late Paul Arzens. No. 1847 is named after the City of Delft, the city where I used to live for the last couple of years. The model itself has a lot of fancy techniques, mostly in the front of the train, because of the sheer ammount of angles the prototype has. It is built on top of a Technic frame which supports the whole body.The model is equiped with 2 PF M-motors, one for every bogie, a batterybox and an IR reciever.
