Thanks for the good review! I was curious how the ben 10 sets would look out of the box. As an old bionicle fan I really like the torso, although the rest of the parts seem useless. Too bad there are no technic axle holes in the arm/leg pieces kutgw.

IGN.com has a preview up with lots of new info on the new Lego Harry Potter game. IGN.com New pics and trailer also included.
-
Figures.com has a preview of the new Hero Factory: Click: You can see how an Ironman Samurai one of the heroes is constructed in the factory. In my opinion it's just Bionicle with a name change, and that's not a good thing... I used to love Bionicle, but the latest batch of sets was just hideous Original story on Figures.com -- I have also posted this in a seperate topic in the news section.

Great work! Ik really like the details you added! You know what this makes me want? A "10188 Death Star" style diorama of Hogwarts

What I don't get is why they don't bring out extra chapters as DLC, they could have done this with Indiana Jones, and I hope they'll do it with Harry Potter. It can also work for the clone wars.

Okay thanks, I am sorry for posting this... please close.

Hey everyone, While browsing Brickshelf I found this: And this: Notice Asajj Ventress and the new Grievous design? Could this mean there's a new Lego Star Wars game coming? Hope so

It looks great!! It reminds me of a moc shown on this website or the brothers brick... can't remember who made it, but it was awesome. EDIT: Found it: Clicky

No... but they, just like Fred and George, never leave eachothers side. Why would TLG only put one twin in a set... it just sounds odd, like putting in a second would make it too expensive or something . Also, Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes would make a great set in my opinion, just think of all the functions and details they could put in that one.
-
What makes you draw that conclusion? There was a set with Crabbe and Goyle and they were both included. Wouldn't make any sense for TLG to leave one out if there twins.

Great review! I am happy to see that the medic helm is printed. Certainly will pick up at least two of these once they become available in The Netherlands.

Nice work, it made me laugh! The backpacks are excellent. Have you considered using flat tiles for the slime on the floor instead of tiles with studs?
-
They can always swap 'vehicle sections' with hippogriff/thestral/broom flying sections, witch alleady makes it easier to turn 5 and 6 into a game. The only one that wouldn't work imo is 7. But I hope they don't.. set's would be cool, but I think all the things that make the gameplay fun can be found in the first four years.

My point exactly... something like ripping a heart out of a persons body and then burning him alive can be edited out and replaced with something comical . But the creepiness/thrilling part of the later HP books is on a different level entirely. It is also the first franchise TTgames has ever taken on that I'm not really shure about being legofied, especially the last three parts.
-
Thank you for clearing that up.... I noticed the topic but I didn't check past the first page.

Why have a lot of display pics and names suddenly changed to smurfish things? Is it some inside joke of the admins?

Here's my theory.... These sets tie in with the video game, not with the last two films. Why? Because from part 5 the story isn't really aimed at children anymore. As the characters grow more mature, so does the story. The lego video game is called: Years 1 to 4... and I highly doubt there will be another game based on years 5 to 7, because the target audience is just not the same. I do recall there being a hogwarts castle that included Umbridge, but I think that was the only year 5 set ever released... correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree with Richie, Znap does look more original... there were things I did with Znap that I couldn't do with K'nex, the two where not compatible. Why K'Nex would do this is unclear to me... do they really need it?
-
Have you seen this?: More on this link: This link I knew about megablocks, but K'Nex? Really? I used to have a lot of K'Nex and I liked it because it had its own style.. why would they do this?

Technic has a new home!
Jippon replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
This is nice! But why are Technic and Bionicle 'connected' by Galidor in that pic... I think it should be Bionicle connecting Technic and Galidor. YES I LIKE TO NITPICK, just so you know -
All those new aliens would look great in a custom star wars cantina:P Also the green one from the small set looks like 'the fly'...

Indeed, that's exactly what I mean, the minifig camera's are very nice, the 'real' camera... not so nice:(. The baseplate (the one that breaks in half to reveal lava) is also one of the worst pieces ever made in my opinion.
-
If you look at Technic, lots and lots of those pieces don't fit into 'normal' mocs. Doesn't matter, because there are people who specialize in Technic mocs. This is the same with Bionicle, that they don't fit in with 'normal' lego (what you difine as normal may be different for others) doesn't make them bad pieces. Worst piece ever made in my opinion is the lego studio's camera, if that even counts as a piece.

What mini-minifig head? I can't find it...
