Perhaps I worded that poorly... I meant 'debate.' X-D But yeah, no real point that I had... I just wanted to be annoying, which is what I do to certain people. Hah. But yeah, I'll stop now. Anyway... the Terrain Crawler looks semi-decent. I don't know about the other two. Not getting any of 'em, anyway.
-
...That's not the point, of course he can tell me how they're built if he built them, the point was if he could actually see more than I could about how a MOC is constructed from one pic, which I doubt he could. So... no argument back from DV? That's disappointing.
-
And what does that prove? All it proves is that he can tell me how to build sets that he's built himself, as anyone can.
-
If they'd be impressed at something with less than 5000 parts, then yes, I would be surprised. X-D
-
I got it from DV's pics, to be honest. But I guess he was trying to prove that I can't see through parts.I doubt any canister-sized MOC will impress Master MOCers, but then, I don't care if they're not impressed. :-/
-
Except the parts used would be quite large... hmm... I think it'd be about $10-$20 more. (AUD)
-
If being a master MOCer buying 5000 Onus claws, 2500 black Haus and 4000 tyres, or making things that need canisters to stay up, I'll pass.

I'm with ya. *y*
-
Oh yeah, I own and have built the UCS Death Star II, did I mention that? :-) Well, he may have been my favorite at one point, but he ain't now. X-D Ya, that's true. But what I find funny is how these master MOCers whose abilities exceed any mortal being are stumped at parts like Piraka torsos, which even I can see multiple uses for.See, Jinzo knows how to argue without calling anyone stupid.
-
No it's nawt. :-P
-
Oh, I own the UCS Death Star II, if that counts as anything. Yey. :-)
-
:-D Oh well, I missed out on appreciating MOCs. I can appreciate life though, since I have experienced it.I have MOCed anyway, so I have, uh, experienced how parts can be used in different ways. I'm just not big on it. :-/ I said completely visible, did I? I can see the main bits, but I agree torsos are usually more involved and require pics of the interiors to see how they're built. So if you're so much better than me, why don't you tell me how they're built? I doubt even with your abilities at MOCing you can see through parts.
-
Except I'm not against Bionicle. :-P
-
Well, could you show me an advanced and complex MOC then?I can see how a part can be used by looking at it, just 'cause I don't use the parts much doesn't mean I can't figure out how they could be used. Not to mention the construction of a MOC is mostly visible when you look at it, so I could see how a fair amount of it's built from pictures. But of course, in the end I'm just a stupid idiot because I can't make OMG ultra-complex OMG advanced OMG ultra OMFG MOCs and I don't agree with you 100%. Do I care? Meh. I don't even know what I'm doing here, but I'm just a stupid kid.
-
Well yes, I have the 01 Rahi.
-
I build Bionicle sets. This is including 01 sets, which were, apparently, more 'complex.' I have enough knowledge of Bionicle parts to know how a MOC is built, thank you.And about that second MOC... what are those things sticking out of its thighs? That's good news about '08. Maybe then there will be no more topics like this...
-
Now I didn't say you wouldn't like anything no matter what they did. No, I actually didn't since I just joined. :-/ But that's cool... In which case my complaint would be... um... Mahri rock!
-
What's the difference? I doubt anyone from Lego is going to read any of this forum.
-
Maybe I'd rather not pick flaws in everything Lego does and just play with the sets that they give me?
-
Well, the parts he mentioned are specifically designed to be fun... the larger parts, I don't see what's fun about them, so they must have some other use. Basically what I said. I don't have to build to see that a MOC is crap, do I? Please link me to the post in which I stated that.

It's not Lego's fault if you can't find a way to use a piece. Maybe these 'harder to use parts' are forcing you to find creative ways to use them, instead of just slapping them on and calling them useless? There's only one part like that: The two-toed Piraka feet. I don't see why this is more useful than, say, a Toa Mata sword arm, or a Bohrok leg, but that's just me.And... why do you want toes with connection points? Why are they more useless than other parts? They're not intended for MOCs, they're fun. Why does everything have to be about MOCing? Nobody told you to use every God Damn piece Lego puts out, especially when they're not intended for MOCing. Is silver not a good colour? If you're refering to cansiter sets, then I don't see how, say, the Metru, have much more technic parts than the Barraki. Maybe a few gears, but it's not really that drastic IMO. Mahri have more system parts than any other canister sets, but apparently they're not good enough. Pretty much all of those have been answered with the new sets, except the swiveling waist, and the Mata torsos, because they don't remake old sets. We may see them with the new Nuva however...Hydraxon has some badass hands.

I doubt the Hailfire has MD wheels... Hailfire Droid wheels have nothing in the middle, but the MD ones do.
-
Yes, that's what I meant, I forgot to add that. :-) Have you? I can't see any MOCs, I only see huge piles of crap.
-
I can admit that you guys are right... but the thing is, you're right about things I don't give a crap about; MOC-ability and absolute perfect proportions (I mean it's not like they're humans!). I just want sets that I like and I have fun with. And I have to say this: Rahkshi parts suck. What's so imaginative about them? How many ways can you use that Kraata tray, or the spines, or the thigh parts? Even the Bohrok had the Krana tray and head shield. If anything, the new parts are more useful than the aforementioned parts, plus a handfull of other parts from that era. But anyway, I don't have any problems with previous years' sets, I'm just telling you what's wrong with them MOCing-wise, because that's what makes a set good... *cough* Luckily I still enjoy them since I don't MOC.

Moo cow! :-P Who wants to guess Makuta's real name? I'm guessing Kkraaakhiii.
