  1. True... but Batman's MUCH cheaper for the sake of spending 5 minutes with a pencil eraser; from 59p for just the torso. Ethan Hunt's however starts from £4.93. Or worse, £8.85 for Superboy.
  2. Yes that's exactly right. Sorry I incorrectly called him swimming pool Batman in my earlier post.
  3. Yup, that's the one!
  4. As good as it looks and would love to do so myself, I've sadly not bothered with the boots for the simple fact that I've got a few of the vintage Imperial officers in old dark grey and I'd rather have them all alike next to the new ones than to draw greater attention to their potential out-datedness. Granted I've replaced their heads with modern ones and mostly used them on women with hairpieces (so I don't use the awful old cavalry caps anyway), but obviously the torsos still aren't quite as nice as the current ones. Unless of course there is a solution? But I'm naturally assuming there never was any dual-molded black booted legs in old dark grey. If I can be corrected on that then I'll happily get on Bricklink straight away haha. I know that if I want to get geeky I could pretend that their slightly different uniform colour-scheme means they're, say, science officers (that's fine, we've got black, white and tan coloured officers along with grey crewmen anyway) - if you look in the Ultimate Visual Guide to Rogue One you'll even see Galen Erso in a standard Imperial uniform but with his trousers worn actually covering over his boots which works to explain the difference in and lack of leg printing... but again from a simply aesthetic perspective it'll just make the older torso and leg combos look worse so won't bother. As with the old white Nien Numb torso above, I follow a waste-not-want-not approach and do like to keep vintage printed parts going and updating the legs and heads to bring them up to date as best I can. I've got a few vintage X Wing pilot torsos that I've combined with the modern printed legs and I don't mind at all that they're different to the newer torsos; I like to think it gives them a bit of personal identity to the pilots rather than being clones of one another (except sadly any back printing) - especially since in my imagination the rebellion should be a bit rag-tag, scruffy and underfunded. Plus my son plays with them all, so can't have figures going to waste :)
  5. Thank you :) They're from swimming pool Batman!
  6. Updated Juno Eclipse, updated Sabine (thanks to Kim-Kwang-Seok for the influence) with the dark sabre (squint and just pretend) and jetpack, using up vintage Nien Numb parts to create a more aesthetically-pleasing rebel pilot and my Saw Gerrera without his clunky piping.
  7. Fantastic work DarthTwoShedsJackson, that looks absolutely incredible. I've only ever taken out the tools to create third-legs on astromech droids and for the criss-cross on a Y-Wing nacelle (I'll have to upload that ship sometime), I myself am so shoddy with a knife that I'm sure my own attempts at following your instructions would result in nothing but a mangled Vader mask and a profusely bleeding thumb; yours is a truly magnificent job. And thank you to Richpepperell; the red capes came down (along with black ones for the shadow guards) and they make such a huge difference.
  8. These look fantastic, but what is the exact colour from that site's large colour chart - are these 'red' or 'bright red' (need to know to get them for myself!)?
  9. Hey now, a bit of credit where credit's due, I posted this below on the 24th Jan on the Updating Your Minifigs thread (probably should have posted it on this one in the first place): http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/108914-updating-your-minifigs/&page=21 Hello I'm new here and signed up just to share that I thought I'd have a go at creating a custom Saw Gerrera. Couldn't find any hair that I thought looked right, at least in a suitable colour, so went with the bald Saw from the flashback scenes and early Rogue One trailers, using pictures of a Saw action figure for reference for the rest of the outfit. The head is custom from Firestar Toys, body armour is a galaxy trooper, torso is some space police I think, the utility belt is a custom Si-Dan G8 Tactical Belt, with a tattered Boba Fett style shoulder cape hanging out from under the rear right side of the armour, legs are a peg leg attached to those of the Kendo warrior collectable figure. Wanted to use a clip on his chest to hold his breathing tube in place, however it kept looking too bulky. So at the risk of him looking like he might start to do some hoovering, I opted to have him just hold it instead (wish I could get the end clip of the hose in trans-white for the breathing end). Incidentally whilst losing a bit of screen-accuracy, I've since removed the tube since I felt it was a bit too bulky. I like to think I've come reasonably close: IMG_3054 by Daddy Stardust, on Flickr WHITAKER-HEADER-ROGUE-ONE by Daddy Stardust, on Flickr Hasbro-Saw-Gerrera-Rogue-One-Figure by Daddy Stardust, on Flickr
  10. I love your Sabine, I've already updated the hair on ours to the same, but where are the dual-printed azure arms from?

I went with the bald Saw from the flashback scenes and early Rogue One trailers, using pictures of a Saw action figure for reference for the rest of the outfit. I've tried him with hair but just feel he doesn't look as good. The head is custom from Firestar Toys, body armour is a galaxy trooper, torso is some space police I think, the utility belt is a custom Si-Dan G8 Tactical Belt, with a tattered Boba Fett style shoulder cape hanging out from under the left side of the armour, legs are a peg leg attached to those of the Kendo warrior collectable figure.
