Excellent ! I do have one suggestion for power.
In the marketplace you can readily find 65W (or greater) USB-C power bricks/modules. These are very inexpensive if you look around.
As you may know, USB-C can provide several different power options. One of these options is 9Volts. For most 65W+ wall packs or bricks, the 9V power is rated at 3AMPs.
How convenient for use with your creation.
The trick of this is to utilize a VERY inexpensive board that tells the power supply which voltage to provide over the USB-C connection. These boards cost about $1.
So, I think if you incorporated this into your next design, you save folks even more money in the long run as they don't have to buy the more proprietary 9V power supply with a barrel jack connector.
Or you can provide both options. If you need a more detailed writeup on this, I have a document I can email or post if you tell me where/how. This site has a limit of 100K and I need 1.1MB for an upload.
It also appeals to the fact that many folks already have this style of power supply on hand and it is the global standard for device power going forward.
Final question: is there a reason I should wait for the mini or are there reasons to go with your original design???
