  1. Thanks for the link. Good to know were the updates are!
  2. Thanks for your input. MLCAD is the only one I haven't had a look at yet! But I will now.
  3. I'm planning to do instructions for a couple of small size builds (50-100 pieces). There are so many different options for the digital building of the Lego models. Which one would you recommend? Lego Studio 2.0 is a blurry on my 4K screen. Otherwise it seems to be easy enough to use. Bricklink Stud.io? LDD? LeoCAD? LDCad? - Seems difficult to use. MLCad? Mecabricks.com? - Seems to get stuck loading pieces.
  4. I'm answering my own topic here... LDRAW seems to have a quite accurate minifigure. It seems that Lego Studio 2.0 uses the same model. LEGO Studio produces more detailed exports than the LDRAW applications LView and LeoCAD. So I exported a 3D-model in the obj-format from LEGO Studio 2.0. I had to scale it by a factor of 0.4 to get the correct size.
  5. I will try to extract the 3D-models from Lego Digital Designer and LDRAW, but I can't be sure they are very exact either. It would be nice to do a 3D-scan of a figure.
  6. It's not that easy to do. Especially with a complex form like the arms of the minifigures.
  7. Hi folks! I'm trying to design custom minifigure tools. I need a model of a minifigure that is as accurate to real life as possible when it comes to the dimensions. Does anyone have a recommendation? Right know I'm wondering about the angle of the hands. In the LDRAW library it seems to say 14.5°. Is that correct? (https://library.ldraw.org/parts/7189)
  8. I found a model at GrabCAD that's OK. It's not exactly as the real figures, but I think it will do.
  9. Thanks miniman. Seems like a great site!
  10. Yea that would be nice!
  11. Thanks for the tip Pdaitabird. I will register there and have a look. Seems to be a useful community! : ) If anyone else has a recommendation for a specific model, I would be grateful!
  12. I'm trying to design custom utilities for minifigs to be printed on a 3D-printer. Now I'm looking for a correct model of a minifig to import into Fusion 360 when I'm modelling. I haven't been able to find any that's really good. So far I checked out the ones at www.printabrick.org and http://brandtteknik.dk/download/ Anyone has any suggestions?
  13. Thanks, I got them all down now!
