  1. I'm all for representation, but I'm curious how that'll work with modern original minifigures being yellow. Would they start using actual skin tones? And how do you represent mental disability in a toy without a story attached to it? Would some start coming with brief descriptions like, "This is Bob the contruction worker. He has ADHD."
  2. They usually stick to one or two syllable names for main characters.
  3. Yeah, I'm not seeing anything about a character named Wyldfire anywhere.
  4. Set names, yeah, but not really detailed descriptions anymore.
  5. If I'm not mistaken, there haven't description leaks from toy fairs in about half a decade now.
  6. The Royal Family only being figureheads was one of the first things established about them. Harumi wouldn't have had power as empress.
  7. Insane planning's a bit of an overstatement. Those storylines made more of an effort to connect with each other, but there wasn't much advanced planning.
  8. No way they'd release concept art of future seasons long before they've even been confirmed. Those ideas were probably scrapped.
  9. We've seen gold without golden power way too many times for me to think that means anything.
  10. It's annoying when they make new snake characters, but Aspheera and Pythor are established characters.
  11. We'd already know if there were two waves releasing in 1HY by now.
  12. Good to hear, then! Thanks for being transparent.
  13. The push they got from leadership to make an entire wave not connecting to anything in the ongoing canon for the first time is interesting. Could they be trying to see if the sets can stand without the show, to possibly phase it out?
  14. It's mechs, vehicles, snakes, and a temple with no additional themes beyond generic Ninjago flair. It's not the best of the best, but it's a summary.
  15. That probably wasn't intentional. Surprised this hasn't been posted yet, but this twitter thread explains what this new sub-series. It seems it is completely unconnected to the show and Seabound's aftermath.
  16. Maybe each box features a different ninja next to Wu.
  17. A series of short films that don't fit the current canon coinciding with a set wave seems odd. At least the Legacy sets and Tales from the Monastery of Spinjitzu represent the past. We've always gotten short films, in addition to two installments that release on television, aside from 2011 and 2014. Mini-series usually only air online.
  18. She was mentioned to be in a couple sets before, yeah. She's most likely going to come back shortly, but given we don't know what these sets are yet, I'll wait and see.
  19. Man. No set box leaks at all. It's the end of an era.
  20. Man.. that's really lame. Maybe this means a Ninjago advent calendar isn't completely off the table though.
  21. One of the largest reasons they had for recasting Cole was that English is only one of the 40+ languages that Ninjago airs in. Taking Cole out of the show wouldn't have made sense for fans outside of English-speaking countries.
  22. I'm pretty sure they'll have the gis they have in the official website's Dojo game. Zane's matches the one he does in that book, and Jay has the same powered up gi that was seen in Target. You can see them all here, all officially released images: https://ninjago.fandom.com/wiki/Journey_to_Mastery#Gallery
  23. Right on time. Now if something a bit more interesting could leak, like a ninja..
