  1. A pdf of the lxf that Alasdair Ryan just made. By the way, nice design eff, this knuckle boom crane is exactly what I was looking for to put on a Cat 584 Forwarder. Thanks in advance.
  2. It would be real nice if some one could make a pdf for this. ( Cough Cough ) Haha.
  3. Thanks to you all for you the quick responses. This information was very helpful. Two adapter cables on the way
  4. Hello all fellow legoers. I have a very simple question that im not very sure about. I recently purchased two micro motors. I didnt however, think of how I was going to run these motors, and now I ask. What lego PF cable do I need to purchase to use these motors, or how can I run them with the modern PF cables. Thanks. Trevor
  5. Could any one convert this into PDF or something. Im on a new computer and for some reason wont open anything in my LDD. I dont know if its possible or not so any reply is welcome. Thanks.
  6. Shifting can be done with a mini LA or an LA whichever you prefer and a M motor. Not much if any gearing down of the motor is necessary since all you are doing is sliding one portion of the gearbox over the other.
  7. I would love to see a Forwarder or a huge new bull dozer. Possibly a new fully functional crane or something along those lines, other than that I dont really mind.
  8. If you would like a Tank with high speed and also to have the luxury of having a large torque output than you may want to look into a gearbox design. Maybe one with up to 3 speeds or even possibly just use a subtractor set up so it wont create as much friction when you turn and the tank itself will handle the weight better and drive nice and comfortable.
  9. Every one is tense because of the Unimog coming out. Haha. Nice model though Nico, I agree that it is very educational.
  10. Im not so sure I understand the gearing on your first Jeep but on the second one the final gear reduction is 1:8.337. It is easy to calculate the gear reductions from the Gear Calculator found on many Technic websites. I think that the gearing of your second Jeep would be very a nice climbing vehichle is the weight is distributed properly and the gear arent slipping. To answer your question I would just assume that the second Jeep Willys has more torque.
  11. is buidling a Tatra T-815 8x8

  12. I think you may of just found what I have been looking for. Thanks.
  13. The saw blade looks as if it might work but it would also be some what cheesy and look unrealistic to the destruction and terror of the miner heads. It will be considered though. Thanks.
  14. This project will be my next MOC. It will driven by 2 XL motors using a subtractor and a M motor for steering, 1 M motor to run the conveyor chain, possible some mini LA's with two micromotors to raise the tail of the miner up and down, left/right, and then 2 LAs driven by one more M motor to raise and lower the turning heads of the miner. And one more final M motor to actually turn the heads of the continuous miner. I would like to ask some of the more knowledgeable technic builders if there is any part that would like like the miner bits on the head of this machine. This is what the heads of the continuous miner look like. I know I can use item #6222 in Brick link to get the round shape of the heads but what could I actually use for the teach other then black connector peg.
  15. I would love to have instructions for the head. I had a nice design for telescopic grapple that worked real well but I couldn't find enough room in the crane to run a drive line to the head so it would have a leveling system for the grapple.
  16. The ZIL 135 is the only military truck that I can find that is 8x8 with front and rear steering. If any one else knows of any others please post the. Thank you.
  17. Does any one know of any type of trial truck that has 8x8 drive and 4x8 steering but with steering on the front and rear axles? Just a question, I thought it may be fun to try one like this.
  18. I also followed the FB progression of this and was impressed with how life like the model turned out to look. I have used your gear box in a few on my TrTr and it always works great.
  19. Im really looking for a new program to try and start playing around with to help with some of my MOCS. I would greatly appreciate the best program that has good quality and many parts.
  20. Allen, I made some small modifications to the grapple but Im still going to use the micromotors. I just ordered 2 of them from bricklink and they should be here sometime in the next couple of weeks. Pictures coming this weekend of the progress
  21. Very nice TrTr. The frame looks very robust and durable for any type of nuclear attack. Haha. It looks like it should perform well. Does any one know the lowest gear reduction in the gear box?
  22. Looks real nice. After i finish my forrestry machine im going to build a continous joy 1512 miner.
  23. Allen this grapple ideal looks like it will work great with my design. Thank you very much for the images, I will be able to build the design from those.
  24. If you could please post the ideal for the grapple and if i think that it will fit the scheme of my model I may buy a few micro motors.
  25. Yeah, I can only build on the weekends when I go home from college. And i planned on trying to run a drive line with axles and u-joints to the grapple and possible the other LA. I know it will be a complex drive system but Im up for the challenge. If I must take out the telescopic portion to the build that would be one thing that I would be able to do with out. But I will try my best to incorperate it in the build. Thanks for all suggestions and possible improvements in helping design my first crane like system.
