  1. Hi Darth Jar Jar, Just because there are threads about other sports doesn't mean there needs to be one about everything. Instead of just starting a generic topic because you can, please try to put some more effort into your opening post, so it at least has some direction. We really don't need an entire thread saying "I am a fan of..." I will be keeping an eye on this one. Thank You.
  2. That is NOT the Swedish flag! Why is it the last time you will post in the Pirates forum?
  3. Sorry to bump a really old topic but as it is HP Month I thought I might be forgiven! This is brilliant, I can't believe I missed it when you first posted. After recently watching the new movie I decided to re-read the book, so this scene is fresh in my mind and I think it is just perfect, exactly how I would have built it if only I had the pieces! This must have been just before all the multiplying treasure started to burn or else you would need some screaming faces. Haha. Really well done!!!
  4. Read the thread people! So Hinck doesn't have to answer the same questions over and over.
  5. Making an original MOC for a competition means that everyone who enters has the exact same amount of time to work on their Entry. So someone will not enter something that they have had the past 6 months working on until it is perfect.
  6. Wow! I guess no Mods or Fellows have been in here for a while. I just updated that broken link and a few others. Thanks for pointing it out "Noname", even if I am a few months late in replying.
  7. Think small, then add in extra details. That is what I am trying at least! I guess we will all find out if that works sometime before Feb! Hah!
  8. I was really needing this topic yesterday. I only got one of the Zombie and have another pair from an old HP set. I want more. Need more!
  9. Nice new tag Mr Fancy Ambassador Pants!

  10. So now we can have it on any sized base plate so long as it is still 1000 pieces? That is frikkin sweet. I am already working on mine and having heaps of trouble trying to squish certain secrets things next to other certain secret things on a 32x32. Does a torso still count as one piece if it only has one arm?
  11. While not solely about Technic booklet errors, there is a thread here. Unless these threads are too different, a Moderator will merge them together.
  12. I don't know what you are trying to do here Capt JohnPaul. But if you actually read the thread that you are posting in you would realise that going off topic like this is not a wise idea. I feel that this thread is terribly important for all members to read, and I have noticed a marked change in the posting habits of certain members. This is good! We all want to stay around in join in the fun that Eurobricks has to offer. Please try to stay on topic.
  13. Thank You Shadows for making this reminder for everybody to read. I think it is so important that everyone tries their damned hardest to keep all posts up to the highest standards. It is not hard to quickly check over your post to make sure it is all looking good before you press the post button, and there is always the edit button if you miss something. It can and will only make Eurobricks and you individually shine brighter. I also feel that is not necessary to quote what someone has said if you are replying straight after them. It makes a thread so much easier and quicker to read if you are not reading half of the thread twice. In this day and age in an adult forum, I think there is no excuse for someone to reply "That is nice!" to a MOC that someone has spend hours or days (and in some cases months) working on. There is so much that we can comment on in different MOCs and everyone has a unique perspective when looking at it. We are here in this community to not only show off to each other, but to hopefully help each other learn more about LEGO and building techniques. I feel that if you can not think of more than a few words to say in in response to a MOC you are not looking hard enough.
  14. Are you talking about the one from the Movie, or the Lego set that came with the Shrieking Shack?
  15. Very cool entry Pretzel. I love the colour scheme you chose, and the building looks very 'era' free like the official sets. Could be old, could be new. Oh for a white Christmas with Glögg and spiced cookies! Skål! Skål!
  16. What a gorgeous building! You have used some really great parts for this. I love the upside down fences. And that red Belville arch is just delicious. Well done.
  17. Good rule. No one wants their pieces to end up like this poor guy. My daughter has asked to have a picnic using Lego cups, she pretends to drink out of them, but I drew the line when she wanted to try to put real tea in it. Even if it can only hold one drop!
  18. I will play around with that idea some and post pictures if I like it! Thanks for the feedback Peterab! Thanks Fangy, that means a lot to meee.
  19. I think of it as a cross between The Winter Toy Shop, Honeydukes and the Emerald Night. I hope everyone is checking out the pics on Flickr. Those 5 pics only really don't do it justice. Thanks everyone for the comments. Please tell me what I might change... can be a WIP until the deadline!
  20. I chose to make a Winter Sweet Shop. A perfect place to hang around at Christmas. With 7 minifigs, and very much in the style of the place next door, the Winter Toy Shop. This 'set' has a Store owner, A Skier, A Homeless Man, A Mother and baby in pram, And the terrible twins, Math and Matilda. The 7th minifig is the Toy Soldier who stands guard outside the store (and ploy to get children to want to come closer) The building has, the store downstairs, then one small room upstairs and then the attic. There is lots and lots of lovely pictures to see here, on my >>> Flickr. <<<
  21. Hahaha Def! I let my daughter (3) play with my Lego, it is easier for me to get some building time when she is playing along side me. She has a few of her own figs and such that she plays with by herself. But 99% of mine is open for her too. If she starts to touch something I am currently working on I just guide her to something else. "Look, here is a horse/pig/dragon."
  22. Don't eat the yellow snow! What a fun competition. I will surely try to put something together for this. As it gets hotter and hotter here, I shall dream of a cold white Christmas.
  23. I just noticed that 2 of my official reviews are missing... Shanghai Chase and Shrieking Shack That bumps me up to 10, above xwingyoda and below def. (Until it is updated again )
  24. Talking Animal Movie Lover! <3 I am going to say this is from Hinckley... seeing he has visited my profile today! And why? Because I just can't get enough of cute and fluffy little animals chatting away on the big screen. It's almost as enjoyable as eating fricasseed babies.
  25. Welcome to Eurobricks from another Banana Bender!
