  1. I recently got the Hagrid's Hut set, and Harry's face (both sides, yes both sides!) paint is sort of faded. Here's a photo. The rest of the minifigs are looking great though. So now Harry is not just scar-face but scratched-face as well.

    Canadian Eh?

Here's a photo i took last Saturday. more photos HERE.
  3. Great review as always. Thanks for sharing! I like the photos better now, very vivid. On the set: I like the Jack Sparrow minifig, and all the printed parts (map, compass, bottles, globe)! A bit pricy though C$15 (+ 13% tax). But definitely one of the sets I will get.
  4. thanks for another great review. i like the minifigs on this set, both jack and the female minifig. the 2 other wearing the series 4 musketeer hat not so much, though i like the blue hat feather. i like the boat. i prefer the treasure chest like the one piece type with hinged cover. the revolving part or mechanism i find cool. and the apples. as a suggestion to whitefang, try google picasa's auto contrast feature. it will certainly bring out the colors on your photos. i hope you don't mind me suggesting. i'm really a fan of your great and comprehensive reviews.
  5. Very nice review! Thanks for sharing eh. As for my opinion about the set, I like it but not enough to buy it at the regular MSRP US$20. I like that it will float on water. As a kid I always love a boat that you could actually play in water. I think the current design is okay, not great, just fine and I guess TLG keep it that way for us to do the modification that pleases us. Plus point for the shark. I'll probably get this one when it goes on sale.
  6. guys help me decide, ie. convince myself, if i will buy MMV. i find it expensive for a student like me eh, $135 + 13% tax. sometimes i tend to price it per item, like the minifigs probably cost say $3 a piece, etc. i like most parts of it like the tree, animals, market stall, how do you convince yourselves when buying big sets with the guilt or make yourself feel better knowing i should stop buying after a big purchase. thanks in advance/
  7. Mega Bloks also have Hello Kitty and Smurfs! I think Lego just have to keep quality than going on a lot of popular themes. Lego has Ben 10 but not really releasing (yet) any 'bricks' on that theme. And bring back Spidy and Batman. I missed those sets.
  8. +1 with London Escape in terms of scale. however the LE building doesn't have the elaborate design of the diagon alley structures.
  9. So which one will you pick choosing between Flo's Cafe and Big Bentley?
  10. found a photo of Mater's Spy Zone here
  11. These will be released in a week's time, any photos? 8424 Mater's Spy Zone 8426 Escape At Sea
