Infection - Introduction & Signup

An abundance of people to choose from, I feel quite privileged to see such great interest in my game, indeed a "luxury problem" -
Infection - Introduction & Signup

More than 50% of the remaining players must vote for the same person to convict. Or an absolute majority if you prefer. As has always been the standard rule in mafia games on EB. I'll make sure that it says in the beginning of each Day how many votes are needed to convict that Day. If the Day lasts for 96 hours without a majority vote then there will not be a conviction. -

It's supposed to be water, yes, or at least a water-analogue-liquid-something -

Ah, good question, I should have written that there are 21 slots. -
The year is 2258. The Tellus Union Kosmosfahrer Gagarin, tasked with exploring potential new worlds for colonization has arrived in the Ver-Ziji system. Aboard the Ship are beings from many races, humanoid and non-humanoid, all working together in harmony, despite earlier conflicts and differences. Well, mostly in harmony. As the planet Ver-Ziji 4 seemed very promising on long-range scans it was decided to send down a scout team to further investigate. On the planet's surface the scout team had several interesting discoveries such as magnificent crystal formations, weird plants. And some strange, red, wormlike aliens. That showed signs of being sentient. So it was decided to take some specimens aboard the Gagarin for further study. Some time later, several light-hours away from Ver-Ziji 4, Dr. Spencer Feynman was working late, studying the aliens from Ver-Ziji 4. The aliens were most peculiar, seemingly completely neutral genetically speaking, and should thus be capable of reacting with all kinds of lifeforms. As Spencer pondered this he felt a strong urge to grab the alien and look very close at it. To the degree of having the alien forcing itself onto him and bonding with him. Feeling fine. In fact, feeling stronger, more aggressive, like he could take on the Universe the newly Infected Spencer left the lab to search for and free his captured brethren.. So, signup for Infection is hereby open. It will not be first-come, first-serve, the signup thread will be open for 72 hours, until 2nd of November, 23:59 UTC. (or just 72 hours from the time of this post if you prefer ) And there are a total of 21 player slots in the game. Infection will use the regular rules for mafia games, including Dragonator's proposed "no voting for the first 24 hours" rule. Each Day the players can convict one player that will be thrown out an airlock. Voting is done by Vote: Character name / Player name, unvoting by Unvote: Character name / Player name. Votes must be in bold to be counted. Each game "Day" will last a maximum of 96 hours. There are no "sudden death" rules, but having a Day end without a conviction is Bad, Very Bad. "Night" will last a maximum of 48 hours. All the usual rules apply too, of course: No editing of posts. Do this more than 3 times and you will be killed. No exceptions. No unvoting after a conviction has been reached. Do it once, warning. Do it twice, and you'll be killed. OOC posting should be kept in the discussion thread References to past games are however both allowed and in fact encouraged (if done properly.) No metagaming please If you have any questions, feel free to send me a PM.

22nd to 25th is actually better for me, the further away from our work deadline at the 6th of April the better. But as I've stated earlier, all four weekends works for me.

Absolutely, a great album, loving already after only listening through three times

Mystical Castle - Conclusion
Quarryman replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Just minor nitpicking because I'm a bastard, my framing of Striker on night 7 was not successful as I had targeted him the night before and it had to be a sudden death night for me to be able to frame the same person again. -
Quite nice, cute little version of a nice building. I disagree about the dome though, I think the design without dome (as used by for example Carl Barks) looks better. But that's just my opinion

Mystical Castle - Conclusion

Oh well, so it ends. Congratulations to the winners, well done. Thanks for hosting this Draggy, though I really didn't have enough time or energy to focus on it. And I just suck as scum I guess Really loved my night action though, don't think I've seen that one used elsewhere, it was a great addition. Indeed we could, we didn't exactly shine as a team. Your backwards results on Griffin was because he had a Godfather role, they usually appear innocent to investigators. Yes, the next game up is my game called Infection, I'll talk to Draggy next time I see him online to discuss a more exact starting time, he wants to introduce a couple of new rules first, which will probably lead to some discussion. But Infection is pretty much ready, I've received the last Bricklink orders I needed so I'm ready to go pretty soon. Look out for an intro&signup thread in the not to distant future. People always seem to die in the end in Draggy's games (he killed everyone at the end of MC1 too) Yes, yes I was. See above. Perfectly understandable. I hope you'll be back for "you know what" Mafia though, whenever that happens. At least mine was to frame people so they appeared guilty if investigated that night. I'll dig up my night action PMs later on so you can see who I targeted each night. -
Hey, I didn't kill Victor, only one I personally killed was Admiral Mallory, that old fool.

Apparently I am. Most peculiar experience to be dead and still be able to speak to the living. So, I guess it's time to congratulate you, you got us. Because, yes, I am a Dragon. Last remaining one too. Give yourself a pat on the back or something, because you haven't seen the last of us. You may have stopped this little group, but the Dragon lives on and will not die, not in a thousand years! Ahem, maybe not. We'll see. Or rather, you will, I'll be dead and gone after all. And thus it ends, not with a bang perhaps, but I like to believe that we have achieved something at least. I'm sure there will come new dragons after us to teach you a lesson and make you understand how horribly wrong you've been. Be afraid, be very afraid. - Ambassador Ralf Simnel, Last of the Dragons PS: I poisoned your toast, killed your cat and made sure you have no socks to make a matching pair. All of those options are fine to me.

Eurobricks Event 2010 in Billund.
Quarryman replied to Ras 74's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
For me it's better with later than earlier on a general basis, but pretty sure I can make it 22-25th of April, probably also 15th-18th of April, but anything earlier than that and I risk work getting in the way. -

Just listened through both parts, very nice, very good answers from Jamie. Wonder how you'll be able to top this And I have to agree about the 1x1 headlight brick being the best brick, it's my favourite too -

Interesting, looking forward to hearing through this. Not sure if it's intended or not, but your two links point to the exact same url, you might want to fix that -

Congrats Draggy, clearly the best candidate for the position in my opinion -

Yes, if you post again within a set time and there are no other posts between your two posts will merge. (as you can see your two posts in this thread did not merge due to the second post being too late. (19 hours is a bit much ) -
No problem, I forgive you, we all make mistakes. And as I trust the good admiral and you more than the rest of this crazy bunch, I'll vote: Captain Geoffrey / EscapetheFate

Mystical Castle - Discussion
Quarryman replied to Dragonator's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I guess we shouldn't nag Draggy so much to get things up fast. Nah.. -
Wouldn't that be great Not entirely convinced, but unless something better turns up I think I'll fall down with the rest of you, my choices so far certainly haven't been the best so I might just have to go with the rest of you here.

Ouch, too bad about lady Rohesia , but indeed, praise be about getting one more dragon at least. And I'm very sorry that my timezonemidday nap yesterday came in the way of me voting for that pesky dragon. As for evidence, no, I've mentioned it earlier, but I'd just like to repeat that I don't have any abilities to gather information during the night, so here I'm open for suggestions.

Well, as far as I can see they use the same design for the masts with the same distance between the yards, so even if they're not using exactly the same size and shape it should be quite simple to make it fit the sails from Brickbeards's Bounty. And now I see Erdy has already written almost the same as me.. oh well, great minds and not so great minds and all that

Good, official pics are up on Dunechaser's Flickr page (pic is link, of course) And The Brothers Brick has more details about the set as well. And someone should probably rename this thread to something better than "red guard ship"
