I'd actually argue that it's better to spread us a little thin with the votes early on when we have little to go on. More people being voted for => more reactions => more information. Later, once those who have received gifts from Firuz have put them to (hopefully good) use, we can do more focused votes. But for now I'd say more people being voted for are better than only one or two.

Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory
Quarryman replied to Sandy's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Actually I was thinking of putting myself at the beginning, simply because I have enough defence to neglect any of these enemies' attacks seeing as I'll be in the back row. But, I think we'd like the free hits to come from the Rat and the Hen, so I'll let you go first, then you'll take the free hit from the Rat, and I'll take the free hit from the Hen. Cinna, if you'd be so kind, please target Battle Ant B." Battle order: Benji Namyrra Cinna Benji Namyrra prepares to cast an Ice spell at Battle Ant A from the back row. (OoC: 1: summon Ice cube tray, 4: Ice spell) -

"I'm not sure about going to the Maze either, I'd rather go to the Derelict Windmill, followed by the Sheep Meadow, and if we still have time after that go to the Ghastly Marsh. I think this will give us the most points for the least effort." -
Heroica RPG - Unlimited Quest: Fields of Glory

"It is indeed good to be here, I think this is going to be great fun!" (OoC: Namyrra went on a shopping spree before coming here, updated stats in stats topic) -
Having learned from the goat with the note () that she had been summoned to the Fields of Glory Namyrra ran to the marketplace and sought out Portia. "Dearest Portia, I need: 5 Meads, 5 Smelling salts, 2 Nostrums and 2 Smoke bombs. That should be a total of 280 gold, shouldn't it?" (5x15 + 5x25 + 2x35 + 2x5 = 280) Namyrra gives Portia 280 gold leaving her with 44 gold (324-280=44) and lot of consumables as she runs to catch up with the goat and the rest of her party going to the Fields.

"Cinna, I'm mostly ready, just need to run by the marketplace too, so why don't we just head drop by the marketplace on our way to the fields?"

As I said honey, I'm entirely open to this just being Marcellus being an megablocks.
-
Oh, yes, I probably missed his question. Simply, I think it means we're up against a cult instead of the scum one commonly hears about in situations like ours, for instance the Demon Legion the inhabitants of Spring Haven were up against last year. (this is probably completely obvious and I'm just a foolish goat though.. ) Oh, and Becka, I'm very grateful for taking the time to clean Cameron's shells, it's much appreciated.
-
Uhm, no, can't say I did. To me it seems they lacked on from the beginning, strange as that may sound.
-
Oh dearest Cameron, always thinking about food, aren't you? But you are right, this situation sounds very familiar to what we heard from Spring Haven, what seems to me being the biggest difference is how persistent Marcellus were in referring to the evildoers as Cultists, I do believe this is a vital clue to us (or Marcellus is just an megablocks, he certainly has a weird behind let me tell you..).

Oh I'm sure you would have liked to see that, you freak. I and Cameron have perfectly happy and normal, non-freaky relationship, nothing like what you are up to, why, I remember a day you came to me all bruised up and swollen in unmentionable places.. so who's the freak you say? -

Good morning everyone! It is I, Gilda Goat (lifts imaginary glasses), here to help you with all your troubles. Especially worms. -
"Yes, topazes do indeed seem to be one of the more common gems, seems everyone and their grandmother has some kind of lightning elemental weapon these days, or just a loose topaz for casting spells, so okay, I'll accept your offer. (could have sworn I heard you mention something about some gold as well though..)"
-
Indeed I missed that, thanks for reminding me.

NAY.

"Yes, while it's not quite as much as I've spent on the wand I do think that offer is good enough." Namyrra accepts the 60 gold from Siercon and gives him the Lullaby Wand in return.

In general the Fenarians as I thought of them when I was making up Namyrra are pretty much like the Dragaerans from Steve Brust's Dragaera novels (good books by the way, highly recommended), but yes, they're mainly just extremely long lived, and it's always dark in Fenario (but exactly why it's always dark I haven't had time to come up with a good explanation for yet (should probably do that before I host a quest where the heroes go to Fenario though..))

Eager to spend some of the gold she'd gotten on her latest quest Namyrra went to the marketplace and sought out Fabian. "Hello there mr elf, I hear you have some fancy garments for sale?" Not waiting for him to answer she grabbed a Robe of the Archmagi and inspected it closely. "Yes, this is marvellous indeed, and I hear it also can protect me against being sealed? Sounds like a great deal to me!" Namyrra proceeded to throw 300 gold in Fabian's general direction and walked off with her new robe.

Nice! A suitable ride for the bestest panda around! (And at first I didn't see Sheldon so I was a bit disappointed about that, but it turned out he was just wearing different clothes than usual. )
-
Happy birthday Pandy!

"I'm sorry mr Johon, but I'm afraid that offer isn't good enough. While I'd be more than willing to take that scroll of sealing off you I don't think the scroll plus 160 gold is anywhere near enough for a weapon that has cost me 260 gold to get up to it's current power and a cloak that would cost you 220 gold if you were to buy it in the marketplace." "Monk Pretzel, unless you become a Sage later on you will not be able to use the Lullaby Wand (and even then you wouldn't be able to use it for physical attacks so it's special ability of putting the enemies you hit to sleep would be pointless for you), so I think it would be a waste of gold if you bought the wand. The cloak is yours though." Namyrra gives Monk Pretzel her Ethereal Cloak in return for 150 gold.

After spending a long time thinking back on all the things they had done and all the battles they had fought in their latest quest Namyrra got up an put up a note saying: Stuff for sale: Shiny dagger (WP:10) Lullaby wand (WP:8, sleep effect)(sold to Siercon) Topaz gem (sold to Atramor) (all offers for these will be considered) Ethereal Cloak (SP:2, Ether:4), 150 gold, (70 gold less than what Fabian charges in the marketplace!)(sold to Monk Pretzel)

Posted my stats now, but I can't quite see how they add up, so I'll have to go read through Quest#27 later to make sure they're all correct. I think DarkDragon might have increased my health/ether after a battle where I shouldn't have had an increase.
