  1. Looks fantastic. If there are any pieces you are missing still that you want to replace PM me. I've got a couple boxes of random pieces, with a good dose of Classic Space, that I could dig through, specifically I should have at least on of the 2x4 grey hinge pieces, though I will have to check the condition.
  2. Hmmm, one set. Think I will have to go for the Imperial Trading Post 6277-1.
  3. I wish I could make that much of a mess when I sort, it would get done a lot faster. Having a 15 month year old running around the relatively small house doesn't allow for that. I am stuck pulling out smaller bins in the evenings and having to put everything away before I head to bed.
  4. I will echo what others have said, get GE simply because it will be discontinued first. Currently I only have GG and GE, I found the GE was a fantastic build for the ground floor, the escalators and the roof/chandelier. The two upper levels are very repetitive to build. I just ordered PS, should be here in a week, after I build that I'll probably be back just to post how I think it compared to GE.
  5. Apparently I should have done some more hunting before deciding on what I wanted to try. I was going to do the Brandenburg Gate, however I just realized that that is one of the landmarks that Lego has already done. Time to hunt for a new building.
  6. Thanks for the recommendations. One of the micro scale projects I hope to do is for the Architecture contest, it is good to see that no one has attempted the structure I want to use for an entry.
  7. I am thinking of doing some work with microscale cities and was wondering if there are any good resources for this? I suspect my best bet will be looking at work others have done to get ideas and then just playing with the bricks and figuring out what looks good.
  8. Thanks, I didn't think I had seen that torso before. This raises a dilemma though, the Car and Caravan was a most likely skip set, but the torso is way to expensive on BrickLink. I guess I will just have to wait for a TRU sale.
  9. The design is incredible for how narrow it is. Also, which set does the Jill torso come in, I'm always looking for more female torsos to balance the mostly male minifig population?
  10. Just broke down and ordered the Pet Shop to take advantage of the free shipping and double VIP points. As a goal for myself though, I have to enter at least one of the current EB contests before I am allowed to build it.
  11. I need to be sure to enter this time. I had a great idea for the Series 5 contest but never took the time to build it, maybe I'll start with my series 5 idea to get inspiration for something to do with a Series 6 minifig.
  12. An epoxy should work well since they are both a plastic of sorts. Once I get my first set of drawers populated with pieces I am going to print a color sticker for on each drawer to show what type, and colours of pieces are in each drawer, that way I don't have to remember and it doesn't matter if the plastic clouds over time.
  13. I looks like they are including a newly designed brick puller with the set. The last photo shows it off to the right of the building. That is an interesting decision, but will likely be very appreciated when you have to take the building apart or modify it.
  14. 1. Male 2. 28 3. Around 10 or so, first official set I remember getting either 6425 or 62263 4. Past - Blacktron II Present - Modular Buildings - I love the detailing 5. It is a good creative outlet that doesn't involve sitting in front of a screen and uses fine motor skills.
  15. I am so happy there is finally going to be a Lego store in Vancouver. It is probably a good thing I live on the Island though, otherwise I would be at the Lego store way more than I should be.
  16. I can't agree more. I will order from a Canadian seller only if I know the pieces can be sent by letter mail, then it is worth it, otherwise ordering from the U.S. is best, though I have had a couple of really good sellers from Europe as well. Do you know if shipping to the mainland is cheaper than to Vancouver Island? I have family on the mainland that would probably work as a go between for Canadian orders.
  17. For previous sorting, when my collection was small, I would usually throw on a TV show of some kind and watch as many in a row as it took to sort everything. Currently I have a massive lot that I got over a year ago and have been dreading it. I think I might go with James Bond movies this time. The difficulty with this next sort is that there are a lot of partial sets in bags 200+ from Classic Space to Mars Mission and everything else. So I need to decide which set I want to keep and complete, which sets are worth completing and selling, and finally which sets get sorted into the general collection.

  19. I love how each floor is so unique from the exterior and yet the entire building is cohesive. Great interior details. And I love the window decoration on the 3rd floor.
  20. I only have the GG and GE. Of those two the GG is a order of magnitude better, don't ask me why, maybe it is because it was my first big set after the dark ages. I regret being a bit too late to pick up CC as that would probably be second for me. I am currently saving up to buy 2 or 3 more modulars, definitely Town Hall, and then I have to decide between the Fire Hall and Pet Shop. I am leaning towards the Pet Shop as I like the narrow building concept more and find the Fire Hall a bit odd with the inclusion of a vehicle.
  21. Wow, great build! You put some incredible details in there, very impressive.
  22. I'm glad that you like the sand green. My Lego collection isn't huge, so I only had a few possible colours to choose from when doing a full building for a MOC.
  23. Thank you very much, I figured I was missing something obvious.
  24. B-OV-22B Here is my entry for the expand the Winter Village II contest. This depicts a nice little place for a Ski vacation including a fireplace, hot tub, and fantastic powder. The caretaker keeps the place warm by chopping wood, but also enjoys sleeping in his recliner.
