  1. Hey... sorry I haven't been around lately... but I did get a chance to read through the day threads today. Really well played by Kristel and James. I was quite pleased to be out of this one on night 1, as I had a bunch of things going on outside of the game, so thanks for that, I guess! Hinck.. loved the set pieces, and really appreciated the experiment with the traveler as well as the game starting process... semi-open with player choice involved. I think that sort of experimentation keeps it fresh and interesting.
  2. Name: MAfia Host: KotZ Dates: September 2019 - December 2019 Survivors: jimmynick, darkdragon, Trekkie99, Hinckley Game Information: Mrs. Molly Jackson is the head of the town bookclub. She loves reading and is desperate to remain young and hip. But as she gets up there in age, she realizes she gets closer and closer to living in a rest home with the old and grouchy Mrs. Barbara Melvin the Granny who runs the dreaded Knitting Club. Gross! Normally, she wouldn't mind, but Molly has caught wind that some of her bookclub members (and their significant others and kids) might be joining the Knitting Club and are aiming to destroy the bookclub from the inside out! Characters and Players (8): Kendall Kane, played by Trekkie99 Chelsea Caron, played by Kristel Autumn Martin, played by fhomess Adam Steward, played by jimmynick Karen McMillan, played by Hinckley Miranda Beal, played by darkdragon Becky Carroll, played by Bob Robert Stewart, played by jackjonespaw Game Threads: Day 1 - Take a Look Day 2 - Twice as High Day 3 - You Can't do Anything Conclusion - Reading Rainbow Other Threads: Sign Ups Confirmation and Discussion
  3. 1. Well that's a question, isn't it? Maybe? Dec 21-27 is actually easier for me than the following week. Put me down to fill a spot if you need it, but if you get enough, let those folks in first. 2. I'm not sure if it's my favorite, but the first thing that popped into my head was 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, so I'll go with that. 3. The real question is whether or not auto-correct knows the difference. No one types anything themselves anymore... it's all just a series of prompts and we're along for the ride.
  4. Thanks for the kind words all. Who knows? Not me! I'm generally not very good at being scum, I don't think. Still fun, though.
  5. Thanks for hosting, KotZ! I really thought there was another scum out there and that we just weren't connected. In part because I had to eliminate all but one townie to win. I had a night kill and a 1-shot PGO that I obviously should've used on Night 2. Next time I'm scum, I'll just kill Hinckley on night 1. As I told you in PM, I was a bit distracted due to my mother-in-law passing away early in the game, so I couldn't be quite as attentive as I probably needed to be. In some ways, maybe that helped me a bit since I made some unorthodox decisions. Good job to the town on coming together and systematically working through the possibilities. I'm glad to hear that the investigation result was real... I was wondering if perhaps it was just a complete fabrication to see how I'd react and I didn't have the mental wherewithal to figure out how to do that.
  6. That was an OMGUS vote plus penalties. Miranda was the other legitimate lynch candidate. I did not vote for Robert on day one... I voted for the same person you did. Because you're the instigator. I didn't make that determination about Robert until day two. Kendall's role clearly didn't impact you in a negative way, so it seemed legitimate and there was nothing that I felt needed to happen as a result other than waiting to see where things went. The notion that Kendall may have targeted his scum buddy didn't enter my mind. Perhaps it should have. I never find it odd when anyone says they're talking to you early on. It registers just about nothing on my suspicion scale one way or the other.
  7. Kendall because of the public claim. Miranda because she was the alternate lynch candidate on Day 2. I only cared about how Kendall's action was reported after other results came out with unsuccessful results for visiting people. Knowing that lined up with my results on Miranda. It has bearing on how trustworthy Kendall is. I believe there's two scum among the four of you. I can't imagine there's just one knitter in a group this size and if there were three, we'd already be done. We have two claimed visitors, plus an investigator and whatever your roleclaim is. Kind of. My thinking is always evolving over time as I learn more, but I also don't always say things publicly exactly how I'm thinking about them. Sometimes it's helpful to see how people react. This is what has been giving me pause about what's going on. Protector is probably town. That's generally not a scum role and it's generally not a safe claim to make as scum. Not sure when it was claimed, but if it was early, then it's probably true that the protector is town. I can't argue with that. In a game this size and with the amount of night action results that have come forth already, it's unfortunate that my actions are among those already known.
  8. There is evidence, but the only fact is that I'm not a knitter and unfortunately, tomorrow, if there is one, will reveal that. My role is town Tracker. Night 1 I targeted Kendall and saw him target Karen. Night 2 I saw Miranda target no one. That's why I was curious about how Kendall's night action was reported.
  9. Were you unsuccessful on Night 1 when visiting Karen? Karen, did you stay home on Night 1? I pushed for Robert's lynch because I thought he was a knitter. If you didn't believe the role claim because it was identical to yours, then isn't it odd that you didn't come out and say that on Day 1? The role isn't common enough for people to make up randomly and fake claim day 1 in such accurate detail. So it seems like you should've believed it but figured Kendall was an opposite faction member. Normally, when a townie sees another player claim a role that matches theirs they either think it's true and multiple townies have that role, or it's true and the other player is scum... it's usually worth coming out and saying, "Wait a minute, I'm the Town <ROLE>, so you must be scum!" I'm really interested to know if anyone has had a successful result from their visitor role (Kendall, night 1?). If we have so many compulsive visitors, and none get a successful result, there has to be another point.
  10. Robert hasn't said anything to convince me I was barking up the wrong tree, so I feel pretty good about it at this point. Why is not contacting you in private before voting a ping? I don't think that's a particularly common approach.
  11. From Day 1, Robert talking about Kendall's claimed role. Later on Day 1, this: So Robert now understands that Kendall's claim is of a useless role. From Day 2: A compulsive visitor doesn't see anything. The only thing Kendall can tell us is who she visited, not what the person she visited was doing. Robert has forgotten that Kendall's role claim is of a useless role, but that is really the only thing of note from day 1 that was revealed. It's the very thing that everyone should remember from Day 1. There's no indication on either day that Robert doesn't actually believe Kendall. This is true even if you look at how he voted for Kendall yesterday: This vote doesn't accuse Kendall of being scum, it accuses Kendall of being a reckless townie. Vote: Robert Stewart (JackJonespaw)
  12. Your argument against the serial killer theory is that there might be 3 knitters around?
  13. I was a bit distracted (wasn't around) so I can't give an in context answer and it's hard to say what I would've done for sure. Prior to the votes for Becky I might've voted for you, Robert. If I'd been around later, I likely would've voted for Becky or Kendall, probably in that order, in order to get us closer to a lynch. Voting patterns really only become useful once there is some threat of an actual lynch. When the votes are spread out, it's hard to read anything into them.
  14. That is true, too.
  15. Seriously! That's not the worst reason in the world. I do find it a bit odd that they'd pick one of the non-voters, though. It seems like there would be incentive to keep all those with penalty votes alive in order to be able to steer the lynch towards any of us. This would be helpful information to have, but what's your rush? Wouldn't it make sense to let the conversation go a bit first and see if anyone steps in the proverbial megablocks?
  16. I apologize, too. I'll try to be more present on Day 2 assuming I'm still around.
  17. OMG! That gives me the best idea... we could... WRITE OUR OWN BOOK!!!! We can take this whodunit and make a book of it. Wouldn't that be so cool! I wonder who else has secrets to share without sharing their secrets. I have one, but it's too good not to share... so I'm gonna share it anyway. Seriously... I mean, it's kind of surprising and most people don't know this but well, here goes... This hair of mine... not my real hair color. I know, shocking isn't it! Also... that croissant must be really old. It practically looks like it's made of plastic. Aw... you just got real. Boo. Why would you get lynched for asking that? I don't think that'd be funny at all. I'm generally in favor of a lynch.
  18. Autumn is here! ... and so am I! Hee hee... that never gets old. :)

I can't read
