EB 2011 Windsor Event: Program and information
Miss Kyle replied to Bonaparte's topic in LEGO Events and User Groups
Concerning Legoland: We found a 2 for 1 voucher for Legoland Windsor in the Wii version of Lego Harry Potter Year 1-4 and we'll use it for the event. Might be a nice reason for others to get the game :) -
Me and Mr. Cat are in!!! I hope we can make it on Friday evening and Saturday.

Thanks for the recommendation, I'll keep it in mind. We'll see if we can make it!

I always wondered how I'd build a Portal chamber. Good work!

Thanks so much guys! I just need more bricks to make new vigs. To the Lego store!!!

If I get time off work, we'll be there for at least a day at the weekend, too! It would be awesome to see people from the Westfields meetup in February again. Fingers crossed!

Whoa, Oky, this is utterly amazing!! I really love it and burst into an amazed "WOW!" when I first saw it :D Really great build, I definitely want that blue helmet visor.

I read two or three of the books a few years ago, so I immediately remembered the scene you built. Nicely done! But now I want to see a Cound Olaf minifig!

How open are you about your Lego passion?
Miss Kyle replied to Fugazi's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This!!! (Well, and the entry before that, obviously.) -
The clone mural is a fantastic idea, making clones unique 'n stuff... I am imagining a little kid with a spray can running through the rows of clones and colouring them :D I think a wave of deviantart-friending is needed ;)

So cool, as always, Mr. Penguin :D -
You're right about "Links"/"Left", Skafte :D As soon as I'll get hold of a decent lamp (the only item Link carries in this scene) I'll put it into his left hand.

I won't give up, and this time it's really a vignette with 8x8 studs - and three levels! This is pretty much the beginning of Link to the Past, Link woke up in the middle of the night by the voice of a girl calling for help. He witnesses his uncle leaving the house carrying his sword and shield. Link follows him outside into the rainy night (does anyone have a good idea for building RAIN?) to the guarded castle. To get in, he must find the hidden entrance under a bush. This is the whole MOC, with a guard standing on top of the castle, Link approaching the bush with the hidden entrance underneath, and his unfortunate uncle sitting in the basement, clasping the sword, the shield tossed aside, wounded, dying. The upper half (can you see the clumsy raindrops?) Detail of the guard Detail of the middle bit, Link in the green The lower half The cellar. I added a chest (Zelda isn't Zelda without chests) with a magic potion vial in it. In the game you get a blue gem in a chest in the next room, but I wanted to use the cool Mad Scientist's vial. The uncle is made from the CM weightlifter's head, the garden gnome's torso and the viking's legs. Here's some reference: I hope you like it better than the previous ones. Again, apologies for the rubbish photography. I'll be happy about some feedback, help, suggestions, ideas for improvement. Thank you!

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread
Miss Kyle replied to Oswald the Rabbit's topic in LEGO Pirates
I finally gave in and bought the Captain's Cabin today. It was expensive, but so worth it! I kept "Awwwww"-ing at the sight of the globe, the bottles, the compass and the zombie pirates, and I finally got my sword strap :) I think I'll get the others, too eventually. Me likey! -
Hello folks, I hope I put this into the correct forum. I bought the POTC Captain's Cabin today because I wanted the sword strap for my Link. I think it suits him, doesn't it? These are my first MOCs since I came out of my Dark Ages. I didn't show the complete ice cave because I am not happy with it yet. I also have to say sorry for the crappy photography. I don't have either a proper camera (took these pics with my phone) or a white booth... so please ignore it :) Thank you. "Well well, what have we here?" "Cool!" "You kidnapped the princess! Prepare to die!" "Oh no!!!" "Ha, you chose the wrong one! Wohoo!" And there's even some hidden loot for later ;)
