This looks very good; stylistically pretty much what a Prince of Persia character, particularly Nizam, would incorporate into a podracer. The thing is, the look seems more architectural than vehicular if you will - so while it really fits with the PoP theme, it's a bit like driving around the Empire State Building - which is awesome cool, but doesn't fit quite right, if you get what I mean. Still, better than I could do - and I'm still upset that none of the PoP sets are going on sale in Singapore, even though all the stores in the States are practically giving them away.

I panicked when I forgot to bring him with me for dinner last night, and hopefully won't make that mistake again. In that last one, it's snowing! In March! I mean, any time of the year I see snow, I get really excited - because Singapore, where I'm from, is right on the Equator (one degree north) - it's practically summer the whole year round. A humid, sticky summer. It's a little like going from Dagobah to Hoth, and it's a lot of fun even though it is very very cold.

Hello all, Konichi-wa from Tokyo, Japan! I'm now on a family vacation in the land of the Rising Sun, and I thought I would take a page from Athos' book and bring a minifig ambassador along for the ride - and who better than the collectable Samurai minifig? I was very intent on getting this figure before the trip, and the first few times I saw it sold loose (with the guessing game element removed) it was too expensive - but I finally got a hold of him. I've named him Samurai-san (Mr Samurai), and by the power vested in him by the Emperor, he's off to explore the far-flung country of...his home country. My trip lasts four days more - look forward to more from Samurai-san!

The 4504 Millennium Falcon set has long been one of my favourites, and all over Brickshelf and other places on the internet there are such terrific mod works of the model. It always seemed way too complex, even though I wanted to have a go. I've finally done it! Main modifications -pushed cockpit back -larger mandibles -greebling along the side of the mandibles and on other exterior plates -hidden trapdoor for smuggled goods -new quad laser turret system - with turret on the bottom Brickshelf gallery

Equivalent of USD$5 for one. And more for the rocket launchers. Lightningtiger, that is a genius idea! I don't use studs-not-on-top building techniques often; a 2 by 2 plate is exactly what I need. Probably the best minifig-scale Snowspeeder MOC I have ever seen. No, definitely the best. I mean if you just saw the silhouette, one could be forgiven for not knowing it was made with LEGO. I'm going to steal this recipe, make something as close to this with the pieces I can find. Because dayum it. is. good.

The magician's torso from the collectible minifigures line was very appropriate for James Bond. Created this on a whim.

These latest few are all brilliant! Fives, that really got me - Vader's pose especially is genius. A good source of humour is to take things to either extreme, ridiculous or mundane - and mundane can be really funny as you've proven. Praiter, Happy Tree Friends was all the rage when I was in the equivalent of elementary school - I saw that stuff when I was eleven, and still haven't recovered yet. The Scarface one is great - finally he puts the scar to intimidating good use! It's weird how the deformed bug-eyed figures, especially Anakin, seem to be able to double for Pacino, Schwarzenegger or, on a bad day, even Clint Eastwood. I saw a Conan the Barbarian custom minifig using this face, and it was downright perfect. And Legonater, you've once more proven that you have a knack for "reaction shot"-type gags - the expressions are all perfect here! I'm loving the vibe on this thread, it's a lot of fun. In an effort to prove that I understand a little about the PT and the Clone Wars, here's the latest one.

Hey, well done. I know what it's like to miss out on a set for any number of reasons and then try to emulate it with the pieces at hand. My tip would be to not try to make it look like the actual set, but rather do someting different. With the pieces you have at hand, I can imagine a small-but-still-awesome Batcave.

I remember around two-three years back when my Dad saw the Bat-tank LEGO set in the store, and bought it for me no questions asked. I was shocked - Dad's a great guy, but usually it takes good grades/some convincing before he relents and gets me a set - least of all a big set like the Bat-tank. I built this MOC a long time ago, shortly after building the official set. I'm taking a different approach here, it's quite reminiscent of the Bat-tank in Frank Miller's The Dark Knight returns, and I think it has that retro, World-War-I tank feel going too - but hopefully looks like something the Dark Knight might actually drive. Praiter, congratulations - you have single-handedly made the television series that disturbs me the most and the deepest, all the more terrifying. And just before bedtime, too... Legonater, that's brill - I can't believe nobody thought of that before, congratulations on being the first! It will be interesting hearing Jango explain that Boba is not his "son" per se but rather an unaltered clone made in his exact image so that Jango could fulfill his dream of being a father. Lockon, thanks for your solidarity - I actually thought you were older than that because of the maturity with which you write, which, frankly is sorely lacking among a good deal of Singaporean youths (don't hurl tomatoes, now). Just to update, it went surprisingly well today - I was nervous but the staff and military personnel were professional and friendly, and the medical exam went without hassle. In six or so weeks, my certification will arrive, stating at which level I will be fit to serve, or if I will be "downgraded" or maybe even exempted, depending on the circumstances.

Thanks for your comments Praiter. Cloney, I appreciate that you made a simple basic Saesee Tiin joke for simple basic old me! Took me a while, but I got it and loved it. May want to dust the monkeys off a little; but I sometimes used even dusty MOCs in the comics myself. Cloney, I didn't recognise the figure as the sassy gay friend until I read your description. You did the best you could, but he needs a scarf (wonder how that could be done) and maybe put a female head instead - not as an insult or slur, but in the same spirit of the Sassy Gay Friend comedic shorts. This one came about by accident as I was trying to assemble a Bond figure. I was very fortunate to have found my one and only collectible minifig thus far, "the Magician", at a thrift shop mixed with a creator set. The magician is about the least exciting of all the figs (especially since I didn't get him with his wand) but the torso is perfect for James. A tiny vignette/display base MOC for James is coming riiiight up.

Luxor, that's great - I like jokes that play on the fact that the clones are supposed to be identical and, well, clone-y, but began to develop distinct personalities as in both Clone Wars television series - and, in addition, an array of different, marked armour and gear to resemble how real-life military men dress differently based on rank, but mainly to sell more toys. Here in Singapore, the clone troops are the most popular characters. I think it's because we have compulsory military service for all males aged 18 (lasting for at least two years), and that we embrace the idea of an ideal, cool army. I'm due to go in soon, but am quite worried for many reasons. Tomorrow morning is my medical check-up by the army doctors, wish me the best! Sorry for going on about a personal story.

This is the crazy insane one I've seen pictures of before online - my jaw literally dropped. It's a work of art, more proof than any for those who still say "LEGO is for kids". This deserves to be put in the Louvre. 750 kg - wow, that was about my weight a few months back. Lost several since then.

Thank you Brickdoctor and Praiter. Crossover humour is always fun, but it sometimes can be hard to get the context right. I have a slightly ambitious crossover joke coming up that stretches across two themes and one external movie - hey, that's kinda like the one directly below. Praiter, you may be right about the comment. Online translators can give rise to some of the most interesting results. The most triumphant example, and many more, can be seen here. Hmm, since they said the forum is meant for over-18s (like me!), I think we can say pretty much whatever we want, but provided it's in a reasonable context.
