  1. Everyone's come over to Emmet's place to catch up on Parks and Recreation!
  2. Appropriately horrifying and atmospheric!
  3. Thanks and duly noted Oky. Hopefully, I'm not the only one who thinks Austin Powers references will never get old (also, Robin's alternate expression was just too perfect for this joke)
  4. Thanks Ojik and very gracious of you Oky. I was perusing your back-catalogue of funnies and it really is impressive! I couldn't find a "single pane special themes funnies" thread under the special themes subsection of the forum, so I hope it's okay to slot this one in here. More fun with LEGO Movie Actor Allusions!
  5. Hey everyone, first post in ages and ages. Apologies if anyone's done something to this effect before (I'm willing to bet Oky has, but getting my hands on both an Emmet and a Star-Lord has been ages in the making so I shall post this anyway). And later this year we'll get a new Chris Pratt minifigure with the Jurassic World line! Also, hearty congratulations to Oky for trucking as long as he has, hats off!
  6. It's in reference to this classic TV show starring Jane Seymour. I am aware her alter ego is Dr Harleen Quinzel, but the pun was too good to pass up.
  7. Haven't posted for a while, but this idea just came to me...
  8. The new Yoda minifig really looks nice (though it probably will fuel that "how detailed should minfigs be?" debate), and the set is definitely many steps up from the one way back in 2002. I love the Geonosian architecture and the redesigned speeder Dooku has. That new Padme minifig included with the Republic Gunship looks gorgeous, isn't it great that we get both the metal bikini and the white battle outfit this year? I don't know if it's just me, but the Sail Barge looks smaller and less impressive than the version released in '06 - the one I missed on getting. Arrgh.
  9. Thanks everyone, and good catch TheLegoDr: Ra's al Ghul was Bane's boss in the Nolan-verse, but perhaps it was too much for one funny. Appreciate the kind words guys.
  10. Hi again everyone, hope you fine folk are having a great new year! I'm in the midst of building my Gungan sub, and looking at the rebreather mouthpiece gave me this idea.
  11. The Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus/Sheik Amar one is great, I love actor allusions! When Harry Met Sally was brilliant too, and Poison Hippie definitely put a smile on my face.
  12. Now how gorgeous is that? I wasn't particularly a fan of the film being a 3D, CGI animated movie instead of more traditional 2D cel animation, but it won me over; I really enjoyed it. This MOC is a great representation of the tower from the film, the tiling effect is all kinds of sweet - not to mention Rapunzel's brick-built hair! I really do wish we'd get System-styled sets based on Disney films. The possibilities are endless, and surely there's a large enough audience for it! Once again, super-cool work on this MOC.
  13. Yup, I guess LEGO should be well and truly ashamed...these MOCs really do knock it out of the park, there's detail, screen-accuracy and it works great scale-wise too. Well done!
  14. The Groaner Police will be after me for this one.
