If you want a general discussion about Pirates of the Caribbean 3 then head over to At World's End the thread in Culture and Multimedia Forum. If you want a a highly indepth Piratical discussion about the movie then post in this thread! So, as a Pirate LEGO fan do you think this movie is worth seeing? Or will you avoid it at all costs because it delves too deeply into fantasy and visual effects. Will it be a good inspiration for your MOCing? Would any particular aspect of the movie make a good set? What are your thoughts and opinions? Well! potc is upon us! Who is going to see it? Who isn't? I for one, am going to see it 5 times over. State your opinions here!

I'll tell ya'!!! It's cuz duh americans like thuh slang! They're too lazy. I should know;I'm in America right now. It's going down the tubes.
-
I think they should make lots of sizes of hulls, availiable through lego factory. the largest should be at least 100 studs across. >8-)
-
ARG!!!!!!! I can't seem to make bigger and taller hulls with this cobi brand! *&$%#$^!!!! Well, I haven't really tried yet. Maybe I'll succeed later... >:-(
-
Ha! That's funny. You're right, all the mini figs are lego. I don't think they could copy that much! :-D And yes, now I can focus the camera. Yay! *sweet*

I have many peices, but the one thing I don't have is a lego horse. With that in mind can anyone help with ideas for building my own?
-
Has any one said they were missing a peice, just to get a new one? I've tried it with lego and mega blocks, so far, only mega-blocks was that gullible.
-
combined sets also with lego.

New hull pics!!

This brand feels the same. I know its hard to believe, but its true! and I don't know about the color quality, because basically there are only black and grey colors. oddly, the mini figs have noses! go figure! My one disappointment was the custom molded cannons. They're not very historically accurate.

My custom swashbucklers

I'll upload some... And if any of you out there hate clone brands don't worry, I think lego will sue cobi because they copied their molds. OR, perhaps cobi is reall a small division associated with the lego group, and they're trying to infiltrate the system to become THE LEGO TOY EMPIRE!!!!
-
but now cobi and best lock merged, so this one looks better.and i thought that cobi was polish!
-
Well, obviously some one who has and eye patch, peg-leg, and a hook would need to practice their swordsmanship!
-
I guess I made it more historically accurate. One thing I did was give it a solid back behind the poop, before it had a guard rail and looked akward.
-
Well I would swear on my life that this is fully compatible with lego. If it wasn't for the cobi instead of lego on the plastic, I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. They even feel the same... I'm very impressed. p.s. I'm not a cobi salesperson or advocate of clone brands :-D

What i think you mean is the fact that ships were modeled after fish, round at the bow, tapering to the stern. The ships were kind of like oval bowls I guess...
-
Yea! he's right. There is a big diff between the two threads. |-/
-
Well, here it is, although I've completely redone it to look more like a ship. Sorry for the blur and the stuff in the back ground. I'll upload some pics of the bricks themselves later.

Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *sweet*

Sets containing piratical and/or complimentary elements!
hans-thegreat replied to Berry Syedow's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'll buy them from tanotrooper. Arr! >8-) -
All I use are Jedi torsos, and some bodies from the spider-man sets. All you have to do is add a hat, maybe a hook, and they look like bloodthirsty pirates!
-
Sure, it's just that I don't know how to put pictures in a post! :S
