  1. not that the old system is under detailed itself. I should've said it's not as flexible, as in the sense you can't make multiple lanes without mutilating the plate or put supports under it to elevate it without having it slide or wobble around or have proper Tram lines.
  2. I guess if you want under detailed roads and what not. I on the other hand will know that I will have a very unhappy wallet.
  3. Makes sense. I guess we can just adjust these new roads to whatever width we want if we have problems with the width. I really hope they do tram versions of these new roads.
  4. As a long time lurker, I have decided to give my own feedback on the new road plate system. I can see both positives and negatives with the new road system. First I'll start with the positives: 1. We can do elevated roads. Since other colors of the road piece seem to used in the Harry Potter Classroom sets, there seems to be stud connectors at the bottom. this makes it good for adding supports. 2. Plated roads make it easier for tram/streetcar integration. Since the new system makes use of tiled roads this makes it easier to have Tram tracks integrated, well atleast straight sections of track using old 12V tracks. Maybe there's plans to have these new road pieces with embedded track and of course curve variations if this new system is popular. Now on to negatives. 1. Roads are a bit high. As stated by people here, these new roads are a bit too high and the road would be taller than the sidewalks of modular buildings. but this can be an easy but expensive fix. 2. Lack of curves. Of course what kind road system doesn't have curves. Since it's just straights and intersections which are easier to do, maybe they're trying to figure out how to do curves and thus went with straights and intersections first. 3. Roads might be a bit to thin. Since Lego city cars seem to be getting bigger and bigger every year, wouldn't have been much better to have a lane be 10 studs wide rather than 8? If I were to give feedback on improving it more I would say: make the lanes wider, give us curves and of course give us tram track versions. Also as someone stated before lack of sidewalks maybe a negative but honestly I don't mind, leaves more room for us to make our own sidewalks. One more thing kind of related to the new roads but not really, I really hope those signs are printed and not stickers and I hope there's a future Xtra set that's basically a rerelease of the old road signs set from the late 90s.
  5. Star Wars and Marvel will probably be year 3. I just hope one of the secret franchises is Lego Island.
  6. The characters I would like to see in dimensions are the characters from Lego Island. It's about time the made a return and besides I'm pretty sure Pepper would have good interactions with Chase.
  7. I can see it happening. If Sonic the Hedgehog can happen I'm pretty sure Disney can too. Besides I want to chop up that hedgehog as Darth Vader.
  8. Well I kind of like it. Besides what other representation of Germany or any other German speaking country would be better, as well as not cause any problems?
  9. I just hope they add lederhosen man to this new series.
  10. Even though you might be right, I still hope we do get sign similar that one in a future set.
  11. Just a heads up, this is what I was referring to. I was actually hoping it came with the garage set. Anyone know what set it might be in or will be in?
  12. So that highway sign that was in the same layout this set was first taken in was not a part of this set? Awww, well hopefully it's in a future set.
  13. Well since series 7 brought the bagpiper (which I am very happy about) Lego still needs to do the lederhosen man. He can come with a link of sausages and a pretzel as well as a new tyrolean hat mold. The tyrolean better be a new mold instead of the forest man hat since both are different hats.
  14. Ahh yes they finally did a bagpiper now all they need to do is Lederhosen man. Although I wonder why they didn't use that cloth piece that the bagpiper has with the highlander?
  15. This series is good but it could've been better if they had added a lederhosen clad minifig or made the highlander into a bagpiper.
  16. Well there is finally a Scottish figure even though I was actually hoping for a bagpiper. I would love this series even more if the did a lederhosen clad minifig.
  17. There better be a Bavarian Man in this series or a Scotsman.
  18. Nice MOC although I would like to make a suggestion add more country flags like a German flag or Italian flag.
  19. Hopefully if they do the lederhosen-clad man they better mold a new hat and not reuse that woodsman hat.
  20. Gender: Male Occupation: Bavarian man Headgear: Tyrolean hat Expression: Happy Color/Print: Green lederhosen straps on the torso lederhosen patterns on the legs Accessory: Beer stein Gender: Male Occupation: Scottish man Headgear: Balmoral Tam or Glengarry Expression: kind of angry looking Color/Print: Traditional highland dress and kilt print on legs Accessory: Bagpipes
  21. Well This series is still a let down hopefully Series six(if there is a series 6) would have a Scotsman or Lederhosen man
  22. Well another disappointing series. When will they add a Bavarian man figure or a scotsman at least.
