  1. Just a quick question and I hope someone can shed light into this: has anyone noticed that the Japanese Tea Garden and Gravity Falls Mystery Shack were dropped from the Second 2019 LEGO Ideas Review Stage, considering that it has not yet officially begun? Check out the links below for LEGO's official statements. LEGO simply refers to it as "Decision on Our Ability to Produce this Project". Is this a first time? Because frankly, I don't see the need to do so at this early stage since LEGO can simply give it a pass when they announce the next official set. Any thoughts? 2. I don't know if it's just a coincidence, but LEGO has been literally absent from this year's NYCC (except perhaps for the LEGO DC Super Villains game booth), unlike of that from last year when they specifically had a van at the parking area teasing the following year's (2018) LEGO BrickHeadz sets. LEGO did the same thing when it first launched or announced the theme in 2016. They strategically used the Comic Conventions to promote the next wave of BrickHeadz, and they should have promoted the 2019 sets already (if any) at this point. https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/10/05/lego-justice-league-avengers-infinity-war-star-wars-brickheadz-2018-nycc/
  3. Someone claims that the original source of the Instagram image already admitted that it was a fake. Can't find the 'admission' though. https://imgur.com/a/gFhTnBK
  4. If there is one complete CMF series that I am determined to get, then this is THE one. ;)

  6. Possible parallels with this one: http://brickshow.com/2017/04/7-lego-star-wars-the-last-jedi-sets-that-we-want-to-see/
  7. Yup, it was removed alright. I guess someone messed up on this one and was putting the dirt under the carpet.
  8. I'm simply speechless... a price point of $600 is just mind-boggling. Here in our country where AFOLs bear the burden of additional taxes on LEGO sets means the overall value of the UCS Falcon can shoot up to $900 USD... crazy, absolutely crazy... :(
  9. I guess that is correct, on all accounts. Saying that it is a 'costume party' theme still opens it to a lot of potential designs. And if this is a sort of celebration of LEGO's minifigures through out the years, then it is reasonable to assume that each particular milestone may well be represented - only with the twist of having them as 'costumes'.
  10. Since this a forum where everyone has a free take on his/her opinion, mind if I ask, what justification can you provide so people may find your two cents credible?
  11. This is the first time that I encountered such an in-depth CMF review here at EB, and I definitely don't mind spending 30 minutes mulling over it. :) I don't intend to collect all the minifigs under any particular CMF series, except for those that really appeal to me such as Stitch, Banana Guy, Vacation Batman and Red Hood among others. But seeing how you thoughtfully review and present all these minifigures sparks a certain curiosity in me. Love the comedic effect that you put on them, especially the Battle of the Monsters. :D Reading your other reviews right now. Keep it up!
  12. We now have official images of the Blue Express Train 31054! :)
  13. Yep, brickset actually has another LEGO Disney MOana set listed on its database: http://brickset.com/sets/theme-Disney/subtheme-Moana
  14. Blue has a gender-free tone to it so I guess that will be a great choice, though it might end up looking like a Creator set. It's kind of a Disney Princess and Creator hybrid type.
  15. Whoa! THAT soon already? I'm imagining something to this extent or color motif to keep up with tradition, though definitely way bigger.
  16. I wonder if LEGO will be all over the place with DMCA notices on this one. :) Indeed, they do not have an official press release yet, and I'm just wondering why Popsugar.com was 'asked' to remove the article that they wrote on about 71040 a couple of days ago, and now we have WDWNT and TBB writing about the same. Frankly, I couldn't help but be excited about this set that I am also 'guilty' of writing something about it.
  17. I guess its probable that it refers to the Militant, considering that this alternate world (Earth 616), 'Hyrda' re-imagining of Cap is close to the comic version as seen in his first appearance in Amazing Spider Man #519.
  18. I guess the copycat folks at China were at it already. Found these over at eBay recently: Minifigure Price Guide also pointed out similar minifigs that he stumbled upon over at eBay. These LEGO knock offs are notorious in copying leaked images of the originals and they can, unfortunately, get away with it. All they have to do is to modify any small detail from the original design and they're off the hook. So it will not be a long shot if this year's exclusive SDCC LEGO minifigures will very much look like these.
  19. I have to agree, the Deathtrooper and K-250 are awesome builds. Does anyone have confirmation to whom these serial numbers belong to among those three buildable figures? LEGO Star Wars: Rogue One 75119 – (?) 104 pieces; $24.99 LEGO Star Wars: Rogue One 75120 – (?) 169 pieces; $24.99 LEGO Star Wars: Rogue One 75121 – (?) 106 pieces; $24.99 Here's my best guess based on the image that was shown earlier and a rough estimate of the number of its pieces: 75119 - Deathtrooper 75120 - K-250 75121 - Jyn Erso
  20. Thanks man, I will follow that thread as well. :)
  21. Thanks for pointing this out. I was too excited that I was about to jump on my keyboard and begin writing about it. Guess we just have to wait until the veil is pulled off tomorrow. I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask, but any updates about 10252 Volkswagen Beetle?
