  1. Such a set as your £50 suggestion would be a great spot for a generic RECOM too which I think is really missing from this wave.
  2. I agree about the gatekeeping but there is something to be said about the dismissive tone of saying things like “if you can even call it a franchise.” Saying stuff like that isn’t about expressing your opinion, which everyone has been welcoming to, saying stuff like that is about bringing down the entire topic and belittling it, which I think everyone else is against.
  3. You're right thank you for the reminder
  4. The sequels and all filmmakers involved would kill for a shred of the genius that Lucas has
  5. Its telling that the only lego set actually based on the show itself isn't even related to Boba Fett at all.
  6. All I’m saying is the reuse of villains stands out even more when it’s the same designs that appear in significantly cheaper sets on shelves at the same time.
  7. I don’t necessarily mind that most of the villains are repeats except that they chose the most recent and in my opinion some of the most boring designs. Like Doc Ock and Green Goblin both have better, older versions. The Tentacle Mech with the dual molded yellow boots and the Bridge Battle pink Goblin come to mind specifically. Both have the level of detail that one would expect from a D2C/UCS set, and using the most recent versions with less printing feels lazy.
  8. That’s wild, that’s a deeeeeep cut. This gives me hope for a Robbie Robertson minifig
  9. 5. Cap vs Hydra 4. Dragon Flyer 3. EFB 2. Iron Monger 1. Benatar Honestly my issue with the Benatar is that we get this price and piece bump, but the front still only has room for two minifigs placed one behind the other. The two Milanos at least had room for three figures up front, and the leveled seating of the Benatar in IW and Endgame is one of the nicest parts of the ship for me. Not saying they needed to fit five seats up front, but would've been nice to have at least three front seats.
  10. So strange to see an updated Lego figure be more like to a knockoff design.
  11. I was thinking of doing something very similar, the 2019 compound battle may end up being worth something after all.
  12. Lego better put Coleman Reese in this set or we boycott all future DC sets
  13. The upcoming Punisher minifigure in the Daily Bugle D2C looks extremely cool and very comics accurate, but he's missing one thing that Lego will surely skip out on: his iconic silver guns! Maybe this is just me but when I picture a classic comics Punisher, I always envision him with shiny silver weaponry, like in pic related. I know that Brickarms used to make this color but it seems to be kept exclusively for swords and other melee weapons now. If anyone is interested in selling to me and/or trading for brickarms (or other off brand Lego weaponry) in my collection, please let me know!
  14. I was interested in this set already but the inclusion of those two makes this more or less a must-buy, unless the build somehow ends up being terrible
  15. I think expecting it to be stuffed to the brim with villains is kind of unrealistic and fan-wankery-y. It’d be cool if there were some named civilian characters, like obv JJJ but also Robbie Robertson, Betty Brant, Ted Hoffman, Eddie Brock, Ben Urich, and probably one or two others. If there’s any other building going along with it that could add a lot of figures too. I just criticized the fanboying but I must admit the thought of like a Nelson and Murdock side building is so cool. But there’s no reason to think like that or expect that 😆😆 Regardless, I kind of hope that the Daily Bugle doesn’t come with a shit ton of villains, like maybe a version of the sinister six but I’m not even asking for that many. A bunch of marvel universe civilians to populate the building could be really great and unique.
  16. My copy of the black widow set arrived via amazon this morning... and something happened that has never happened to me with Lego before. They shipped it just on its own, not in another box or anything, with the shipping label just slapped on the front! Thankfully, the box was undamaged. Hyopthetically, would the big shipping label sticker on the front hurt the resale value?
  17. Cheers mate Gotchu fam https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DVVKDF4/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 Unless this isn't allowed in which case I disassociate myself from this comment
  18. Do you think, then, that there were battle packs created for this wave that were then scrapped after the success of the 501st battle pack?
  19. I’m glad we’re getting all these new Iron Man armors, and I’m ok with the same base armor as I still for some reason haven’t picked up the mech. I also like the amount of aim soldiers one will be able to army build as well as the more comic accurate Rescue. Personally I dig the flatter head on the hulkbuster, reminds me of one from the comics, however I don’t really like how huge these hulkbusters are getting.
  20. There are two of these included in the throne room set and one in the battle pack. The other one with the large brim has two in the battle pack. The flat faced ones haven't been made in minifig form yet. So I guess I was slightly off. If you bought one battle pack and one throne room set, you'd have three of the pictured guards and two of the large brim helmeted guards. With two battle packs and the throne room you'd have four of each.
  21. I agree, it's a shame. Best option would've been to include one of each in the battle pack. There are three helmet designs and eight guards, if I remember correctly. So if there were two identical guards in the throne room set it wouldn't have been hard to have an accurate distribution.
  22. I would honestly love more ships at that scale, I think it could work really well for fighters. But it seems that Lego won't want to give up that $90 X-wing price point anytime soon.
  23. I would love a D2C Yavin 4 base, maybe a little smaller than the Cloud City set, but with a bunch of minifigs. Would be an easy place to put in a smaller scale X-wing like in the prototype model. The only issue is there's no real conflict for it to revolve around, although I suppose you could include the imperial spy like at the end of Lego Star Wars.
  24. Brilliant, I may have to do that. The monkey blacksmith guy would've been a great inclusion in the upcoming Night Buzzard set
  25. I don't have enough ideas to do my own CMF series list, but if there were to be one I would REALLY want: Yellow jacket Luke Skywalker - no medal or have a separate medal accessory Rebel Friend Garindan The monkey guy who reforges Kylo Ren's helmet
