  1. Don't know if this is an appropriate place for my topic to be, so what I am working on is the Work Trade Center, tried my best to make it the most accurate as I can. so far there's 48,604 Lego pieces in my model. Unfortunately, Lego Digital Designer is starting to create problems (crash) because it's a massive save. LDD (Lego Digital Designer) can only handle like 20,000 pieces, and remember, I have 48,604 pieces so far, and there's going to be 15,000-20,000 more coming. It reach to where if I place or copy blocks it starts to crash. I have no choice but it's the only way I can continue it, I have to split the model. I'm going to make two separate saves, one with the twins and just the plaza hopefully with 7. The twins individually are a bit past 18,000 bricks. But before I do, I took enough photos from different angles so you and I can see what it looks like when they're together but still a lot of work needs to be done around. And yes, I am working on the mall now, half could be done already but this problem occurred last night. Making it's basic shape from a floor plan and afterwards will be looking through photos and so of its details. Oh, don't mind the mess.
  2. Hello, my name is Austin. I'm just starting to get into Lego, and starting on my first project is in LDD. I have a huge interest with the original complex of the World Trade Center in New York City, and that's the reason why I just got into Lego. Originally it was suppose to be in Minecraft, I play a lot of it, well occasionally now. And when I first started building the complex in Lego, I was overwhelmed if it's impossible for me to build this, I never used Lego, so don't know if I can make it accurate or close to it. I want to make another topic about that later. But so yeah, I was overwhelmed because I knew that I'm going to be obsess with it and it's going to talk a lot of my time so I almost deleted it in its early progress purposely. But now I am here, half way finished with it. Want to make this short and I'll be making another topic about my Trade Center.
  3. But if it's really in the way a lot, nervous now if it won't save, it's starting to do that a little bit too. I guess I have to.
  4. Don't know how really, and I don't want to split it up because I want to submit it to Lego Idea when I'm done, and I won't like if I have to show the complex without the twins, and show another picture only the twins or one of the twins. (The twins individually are little bit over 18,000 pieces) But you're right about that it's too much for LDD to handle, I experiencing some lag, but like tiny tiny. Thanks for letting me know tho, If I have to do most of this individually then I must and have to spend more more time on it, hopefully if possible they can fix it, I doubt that they really can because how big it is and uncommon for someone who has a lot in their project. Oh, notice that I think I posted this in the wrong topic, and sorry for long posts.
  5. Lego Digital Designer keep crashing a lot now, it's just starting to happen, I don't know why, I tried everything. Hiding the building, copy little by little sections, down grade the graphics, restarted my computer,...etc. It only crashes when I'm trying to copy a section like 2x2, still, someone typed about it has to do with before its new update, but like I haven't bumped into this problem 45 pieces ago, it was fine don't know what's going on, I don't know if it reached to its limit of copying. For some of you wondering what it is, I'm recreating the World Trade Center. I have 48,583 pieces used so far, and don't think that's really a problem with my computer like what I typed, 45 pieces ago it was working just fine. And like there's going to be 20,000 more for me to complete this too, so I don't want to individually place one by one, because I want to make this accurate, so like there's a lot of individual tiles and so, and soon there could be a repetitive support structure, most likely for 7. Also, I'm still pretty new to Lego, so don't know if this is easy to fix. (Link to it) http://imgur.com/a/BFf6S
